Re: OOC

Going to be camping for the next four days so my posting may be irregular.  I will have my phone so I will still be able to keep up.

Also finished updating my character concept and ill add some back story.  Are most others keeping there back story private for now or is it all pretty public?

Re: OOC

I want to apologize, my current schedule is quite demanding and I don't think I have the time to give this game the attention it deserves. I'm going to have to drop out. Thanks for having me so far, but I don't want to tell you I can play then leave everyone hanging in the middle of the game because I can't play frequently enough.

And sorry to hear you're leaving. I wish you all the best. Look us up if you find you have time again. :)

Hey, folks, the DM wanted me to tell y'all that he's going away for work. Dunno how long yet. We're encouraged to RP in the meantime. :)

Re: OOC

Alright, got a message from our amazing GM: he would like everyone to roll a d100 from the trinket table (page 160 of the rule book, it's 150 on my PDF). He would also like everyone to write a backstory. He plans to award some kind of bonus to those that have good back stories for their trinkets.

Re: OOC

So this backstory is just for the trinket and in addition to the existing backstory, correct?

22:18, Today: Opal Oribis rolled 84 using 1d100. Trinket.

84- A receipt of deposit at a bank in a far-flung city

There's a lot of cool things that could be waiting for me in a bank. I'll get to writing a backstory for the trinket and improving upon the one I already have.

00:25, Today: Beldak Shieldheart rolled 20 using 1d100. trinket.

20- A glass jar containing  a weird  bit  of flesh  floating  in pickling  fluid

This could be a tricky one.

I was wondering the same as Grim.  I have a back story almost done, is the back story for the trinket supposed to be separate or connected to our own?

Re: OOC

It's just a backstory for the trinket. If you want to connect it to your backstory, that's up to you.

21:19, Yesterday: Roland Lebrut rolled 59 using 1d100. Trinket.
59 - A rabbit's foot.  Kind of makes sense for a barbarian, no idea how I'll incorporate it into my backstory, but I'll find a way.

Re: OOC

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I meant a backstory for your trinket as in how you got it. Who gave it to you. Create a story where maybe some things happened with it that was strange.

It's should be added to your character backstory but not necessarily completely intertwined with it.

I would prefer the trinket backstory separately written so I can find it easier, but if you want to add it into your backstory you can, but it is not required and will have no affect on any benefit I come up with.

Re: OOC

I finished my trinket story and it's in my character description. Tell me if what's in the bank is to far-fetched and I'll try to make it something more reasonable. I wanted to make it something that my grandpappy wouldn't want to fall into the hands of evil and something that would be entertaining for everyone who got involved with it.

So... 48 is....

"48 A glass  orb filled with  water,  in which  swims  a clockwork  goldfish"

That is so cool!!

14:39, Today: Sylvia Glenwood rolled 7 using 1d100. Trinket.

07 A pair of  knucklebone  dice,  each  with  a skull  symbol on  the  side  that  would  normally  show  six pips

Well... That's not so bad I guess...

Why does Everard get the cool goldfish?

ahahaha.  My grandmother used to tell me stuff straight out of sci-fi - I thought she was trying to be a good storyteller.  Nope, found out in my mid-twenties that my grandmother I'd lived with for most of my life had been a paranoid schizophrenic.

By the time they told me that, it made perfect sense - what amazed me was that they had the diagnosis before I was born and had never told me :P

Heh you left just enough of your backstory empty to give me a hook with the jar... hehehe
