Re: OOC

Am I correct that the Blightwood is near the Blight?  If so, that's a LONG journey to take - will the noble survive while we travel?

It is in Blight, but all the same, wouldn't the noble die if the ingredient isn't found? Yes it is a long journey, but it surely would be worth a try from the heroes? Unless you'd rather stay home and let the noble die without even trying... Which is horrible, in my honest opinion.

Oh, yes, and hullo. I don't believe you've heard from me yet... *waves*

Re: OOC

Hi Co-DM!

If Roland were involved in the negotiation of this deal, he'd have insisted on a clause that if the noble croaked during our voyage, we'd still get paid.  (Neutral, not good)

Fortunately, Roland was not a part of those negotiations, and in my opinion, he's not quite smart enough to ask about that at this point.  I just wanted to confirm the sheer distance we'd be traveling - that's 350 miles, by my reckoning.  I don't know if we have horses available to us, but that's conceivably a month's round trip.

Re: OOC

Hi hi :)

I think we were figuring two months max. You never know what can happen. It's a long way. Boss man can probably clarify more on the length of the trip.

Re: OOC

The backstory which I'm sure ya'll are going to be told is thus:

The alchemist is taking care of the noble every day which is keeping him alive. The nobles quality of life is not great and he is sick, but he's stable.

No... Her sword is sentient... And speaks in her mind.

But yeah, it tries to be her conscious.. When it's awake. :p

I was actually flashbacking to a Treehouse of Horror episode of the Simpsons.  They're staying in a haunted house and there's a voice telling Bart to murder them all.  He's a little weirded out by the voice and tremulously asks if it's his conscience - which weirds the spirit out, but it goes with it.

Keep it up :)

Re: OOC

OK guys I'm putting this up to a vote

I'm thinking of house ruling feats

5th edition says you have to give up ability score improvements to get feats

I'm thinking about allowing feats every 4 levels without losing ability score improvements

Thoughts?

Re: OOC

Would be fun, but pretty strong. Each feat in 5E is quite strong in of itself. Then again, you could tune the encounter difficulty to account for that, so I say, why not?

So, Everard and I were going to post, but there's an event that is going on where we work. We're evacuating the school we work at due to flooding.

Pray for Pasco county Florida. It's a nightmare here.

I have a personal rule.  'Never pass up a free feat'.  So ya im game, as long as every one else is ok with a bit of a higher power game.

Just to clarify, we get them at levels 1,4,8,12, ect
