Aster Man vs. Snakeman

(OOC: no worries on the rules, relearning as I go again too, I tend to run pretty fast and loose with it anyway.)

She says "Wow!  I wish I could fly."  Obviously she fine, and Aster man flies off after the hooded man.

He doesn't run very fast, perhaps even a bit slow, and turns to face Aster Man in a fighting stance, trying to shade his face from the light with his left arm "Leave me alone!  I wasss jussst getting dinner."
Aster Man's light illuminate's the man, a scaly bright green hand ending in claws conceals his face, but a forked tongue flicks out when he speaks.

Aster Man vs. Snakeman

Aster Man grabs the thing! Once he's got it secured, he flies it to the nearest police station.

ooc: again, it's been a long time since we played Marvel back in the day, so not sure exactly what to do about attacking, dice, etc.

My attempt: 05:48, Today: Aster Man rolled 97 using 1d100.  grapple snakeman.

Aster Man vs. Snakeman

(OOC: grapple is on page 31, the color chart is on the last page, the feat of fighting results are just based on your fighting, the opponent's scores don't come into it. Gold result, full hold, you can 'crush' for damage if you want equal to strength too.)

Aster Man grabs the snakeman's arm, spins him around to get him in a headlock right behind the neck as he's seen TV shows showing how to deal with snakes so they can't bite.

The snakeman tries to twist around, but Asterman's hold was perfect.  Asterman starts flying off to the nearest police station.

11:20, Today: R. Race Rasmusen, for the NPC Snakeman, rolled 48 using 1d100.  Snakeman reversing hold. -2RS for trying the reversal, White, needs bronze at least.

(You can crush again if you want - 2x total.  It'll take you a couple more rounds to get to a police station.)

08:30, Today: Aster Man rolled 14 using 1d100.  crush or maintain hold on snakeman.

OOC: disregard... I think I misunderstood, if the hold is good, flying  him to the police station, if he breaks free, will just go collect him when he hits the ground.

Re: Aster Man vs. Snakeman

At the police station, the front desk, makes you wait for awhile to see a detective as "These snake-people are very dangerous, we've got a pair of detectives who worked with the FBI on them."

Eventually a woman in a pantsuit approaches and says "Hi, I'm Karen Wong.  I can take this one, but FBI took the rest of them we caught.  Technically we can't arrest them without them committing a crime, they're still people.  If you run across any others that haven't, call this number."

She hands you a card:

FBI - Special Investigations
Agent Made
+1-555-626-6655

She says "You don't look well, Do you want me to call an ambulance?"

Aster Man started to feel better, finally! He said, "I am recovering, the thing poisoned me. But, it's nice to meet you, Ms. Wong, sorry for being shaky, not at my best right now. I'll call if I run across any more of them.

"You said 'any others that haven't', what did you mean? 'Haven't' what?"

Re: Aster Man vs. Snakeman

She almost whispers to you, hard to hear in the busy police office "If you run across any snake people that haven't committed a crime, call the number on the card I gave you."

As you're leaving some old homeless guy at the front desk is yelling about little green men who smelled of bananas kidnapping his homies behind Cross Lumberyard on FDR.  He complains he was too old and they wouldn't take him too, they start to take him to the drunk tank.

Re: Aster Man vs. Snakeman

(Little more complicated than I thought!! Sorry about that.)

Aster Man nodded and carefully tucked the business card away for future needs. He left the cop shop headed towards the area the old drunk had indicated and looked around to see if he could find the sewer entry. From there, he'd look for signs another hero had been there or the snakemen.

Re: Aster Man vs. Snakeman

(OOC: no problems on the time, one of the things I like in this format.)

A look around reveals a bit of shed snake skin, some fresh tire marks, and some discarded winter clothes in bad shape and smell amidst the other detritus to be found in a back alley in the industrial park, as well as a bit of fairly fresh blood a few drops leading to a manhole without it's cover.  With a quick glance around, Aster Man sees the the manhole cover on top of a burst trash bag at least a dozen feet away.

Re: Aster Man vs. Snakeman

AM thought, This one is strong! but he went to the manhole anyway and peered in, listening. If there did not seem to be any creatures lurking immediately below to ruin his evening, he would descend and have a look around, ready to protect his face and hold his breath should one of them spit anything at him! He looked for some trace or tracks.

Re: Aster Man vs. Snakeman

He can hear very distant sounds carried and echoed through the tunnel, it's hard to make out what they are, but they don't sound like what you'd expect sewers to sound like.  The smell of rotten bananas wafts up from the manhole as well.

Climbing down there weren't any obvious tracks, but the sounds were distinctly coming from one direction.
