I worked on that dam thing for like 10 min trying to figure that out. But I figured you guys were going to likely fight, so I figured what the hell, it'll be a fight and we can move on from this dumb format. lol.

Just substitute something else in for the first "|" and you should be alright.  Maybe a ":" or "!".

Re: OOC: The Snows of Summer
Rufus, IC, Rhogar might not know about troll's vulnerabilities.  But he is very much a blaster-type Sorcerer almost exclusively devoted to fire, given his draconic background.  Maybe if we have a combat where fire proves to be less useful, he'll think about branching out.  But so far, it's been pretty effective!

We've fought a troll before--I'm pretty sure Rhogar knows that at least fire is good.

Fire has proven effective against most frosty enemies we've faced, so you should be fine blasting away.  I wouldn't put it past the GM to throw something unexpectedly fire-resistant at us, though.

Re: OOC: The Snows of Summer
Yeah, unless the creature spits fire or is already on fire and is ok with it, odds are that fire is going to kill it :)  Rhogar definitely knows that!

That's right, I'd forgotten about that.  But yeah, monsters in this AP have seemed fairly vulnerable to fire so far.  I guess with it being mostly winter-themed, that makes sense!

Re: OOC: The Snows of Summer
You should retcon the troll's attack to be against either Heskan or Paea, instead of Rhogar.  My AoO hit, so he was locked down for his turn.

Heskan, it wasn't necessary this time, but a reminder that you have advantage when I'm raging and we're in melee with the same target.

Re: OOC: The Snows of Summer
Since the troll seemed to have killed some dogs and perhaps guards, we probably could've talked our way out of fighting the guards...

DM:  Is that door behind the guards open, and does it look possible to close or even lock/bar it from this side?

It is open. It swings outwardly so you could not close it without moving the guards standing in your way.

My post assumes that I'm able to catch him on the stairs.  If he's too far up, I'll cancel my attacks and dash to reach him.

Sorry for adjusting GA on the stairs.  Is there room for others to attack him, or could only person reach him on the stairs?

Re: OOC: The Snows of Summer
Hey, all. Since I've had so much trouble getting to RPoL lately, between a baby and my illness, I'm taking a hiatus from some of of my games to make it easier to make my rounds without feeling overwhelmed. I say this here so you don't go trying to talk Patau out of her plan :).

But I am bringing my laptop with me, so I'll post sometime this weekend or next week. Then we should pick back up again.

Re: OOC: The Snows of Summer
Geez guys I am sorry. I have been super slammed, and if I'm being honest, for some dumb reason dreading posting here now. I don't get it.

Has nothing to do with anyone.

I am slammed at work and home and I guess that must be it. I take a freaking week off of everything and life says, "NO! Take this!".

I digress. It is going to probably be a while before I can post. I am considering shutting it down because of that.

Up to you guys. I will repost this in the other game too.

How should we/I deal?

Re: OOC: The Snows of Summer
If you need a small break, that's fine.  Real life takes precedence.  I sometimes get that feeling of dread, too, when it's been awhile since I posted in a game.  If it makes you feel any better, once I post, everyone seems happy and things move on!

RL's been keeping me busy, so I've been phasing rpol games out, myself.  I enjoyed playing in this game, but I'm fine if it goes on hiatus and/or closes up.

A hiatus is fine but if things get better I would like to see this game continue.  I have been busy also in RL so feel everyone's pain.
