Mission 2: Lonely Moof

While the others work in the communication hub Onyx has begun working on a barrier to help cover them. He pulls some of the junk that liters the hall. He foccuses on pulling the junk near the door the goons would come from as a way to not just gain cover, but also take away cover from them.

With Dienton questioning the prisoners Caddy will take a look at the computer.   While she is no expert, the note may have a 'clue' and with that in mind, she risks it....

Sadly, no luck, she thumps the table though while she fails to crack the password, there is something...

[11:25, Today: Caddanra 'Caddy' Manitu rolled 1 failure, 4 advantages using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 3a 3d 4b.  Computers.

Computers rolled vs 3D.  Used boosts from my six advantages and Onyx's.   Failed to crack it but with four advantages result.

Can I get TWO somethings 'important' to conflict please.  And pass on two blues to the next actor.]

Seeing Onyx watching their back, Forim heads into the navigation room to see if he can help out.

Seeing the end of Caddy's result, Forim says "Here, let me have a shot.  Let me know what you have already tried" as he gets to work.  As he gets some input from Caddy he says "You inverted the order you are supposed to apply a reverse Brathak algorithm.  What you need to do is start by laying the groundwork with a sniffer application, then hit it with an organic insertion algorithm.  This lets the sniffer see the results, and feed the insertion with future guesses."

08:38, Today: Forim Luk rolled 1 success, 2 advantages using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 3a 3d 3b.
Spending 2 advantages to give the guy trying to hack us back a black.

Next he looks under the terminal to see what he is working with.  Unfortunatly the jumble of modified wires tells him nothing.  "We need to cut the external hard line coming into this terminal to prevent any further hacks, but I cannot find that line.  Dienton, do you know where it is?"

08:42, Today: Forim Luk rolled 1 failure, 1 advantage using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1P 2A 2D.  Rolling Mechanics.

I was picking Mechanics to find the line, then Skullduggery to actually disable it.
Dienton can assume I am giving him a boost by working with him to find the main line.

Caddendra is trying to find some clue for the password. Sadly, no luck. She prods at the keyboard for a moment, then notices something.

The password is quite long. She taps a key code, and sees just how long. The password is 512 characters in length.

512 characters?  Dienton thought, I wonder if its just a bunch of 1s?  Not willing to risk it Dienton crawled under the console with Forim to see what the Duros was attempting to accomplish.  The tangle of wires was indeed . . well . . tangled.  This terminal was connected to the ships main computer, a central hub directing processing traffic all over the ship.  Dienton was able to locate and isolate the feed from the bridge, where he assumed, the counter commands were coming from.  He disconnected the data feed from the bridge.

Once that was complete, Dienton jogged over to the sensor control station across the hall and began looking at internal sensors.  With nimble fingers, he looked for a display of current congregated lifeforms onboard.

OOC
Mechanics to cut off the feed - 3D
3 Success    - Bridge feed disconnected
2 Advantage - Evaluate the remaining feeds, should others be disconnected to isolate the computer?
1 Triumph     - Id like to bypass another computers check, get a better idea of "bad guys" positions within the ship using their sensors.  - Let me know if that good.

You get a read on current life forms. It seems that seven of them are congregating at a
turbolift one floor up. The access on this floor is only a few meters away! Fortunately, Onyx is preparing for just this eventuality, with his barricade of junk.

Three other lifeforms are on the bridge. Dienton disconnects them, preventing further interference from that sector. He checks the live feeds, trying to see who's still in the system.

Another slicer is still live in the ship's computer. They are doing something involving the ship's plumbing system.

"Get ready!  7 are getting ready to hit the turbolift!" Dienton settles himself back in the terminals chair and cracks his knuckles before he types furiously at the consoles controls.  He watches as his digital opponents begins tinkering with the ships  . . plumbing?  Whaa?  "And the toilets may start acting up!  Don't look at me that way!  Dammit, I'm a doctor not a plumber!"

He did not know enough about this ship to understand how the plumbing could be used against them, so decided to take a more direct route.

Digging deep into his programming courses back in Medschool, he had slept through most of them, he figured he had one good trick to try - "Hey Forim, Im going to try and kick this dude from the system entirely from here.  If I can crack the admin accounts, I can take his rights away" here Dienton explains in techno-babble all the incredibly brilliant things hes about to do, then he incorporates any suggestions that Forim might have (assuming 1 boost die)

OOC
Going for an Expel User command - which is an opposed check, so GM, please roll the opposed part.  Drumroll please at 4a 1b we have . .  5 success & 1 advantage - not bad for a medic!

Knowing the fight may not be over, Dienton searches to discover what plumbing mischief the miscreant had been attempting.

Dienton is now pretty sure that the plumbing system's automatic cutoff functions have been disabled. Usually, if a leak occurs the change in pressure triggers the water to be rerouted or blocked. Someone has stopped that from happening.

Ikki looked over from keeping the two hostages in line "Don't have no grenades... But if I can find somewhere to hide behind them, you keep their attention. Then I'll use this...." He holds his axe up before turning his gaze back to the two commsmen and letting the end crash into the ground to let them know if they try anything, something bad would happen.

Ikki Sorlock rolled 1 success, 2 threats using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1p 2a 2d with rolls of 5(P), 1(A), 1(A), 4(D), 8(D).  Perception.

Could the Threats be used to make my Stealth check harder? Like it's up high or I'll take it as strain?

If anyone would like some assistance, look at my sheet and roll accordingly. Not overly much help here but I can provide a Bonus at least.

Forim was still in the room and Dienton took full advantage of his input.

Forim, looking over Dienton's shoulder and offers a few suggestions "Instead of undoing what he did, just open all the valves.  It will wreak havic on the system, lowering pressure from most faucets, but it will prevent a breach.  Once you do that, simply triggering a reboot of the automatic plumbing system should reinitialize all the safeties."

After a tense moment Forim says "Awesome!  Now lets see if we can get control of the turbolift.  Ideally we can lower the compensator safeties on the turbolift, and then accelerate them up to a higher level.  That should make everyone pass out if we do it a few times. Once we bring them to this level, we can stun everyone to keep them unconscious for longer."

The ship's internal sensors are an excellent way to keep an eye on the ship's defenders. You take an updated scan.

Three people are at the turbolift right now, but they're not getting inside it. The rest are heading towards the aft section of the ship, fairly fast.

The ones on the bridge haven't budged much.

Caddy continues to wait patiently.  Clearly talking was having no effect of the members of the crew aboard this ship.   She suspected the droid's appearance might have twigged the captain onto her ruse.  The only thing she could do to prove herself was kill the two men and they didn't deserve death.   The captain though, when  he appeared, did.   And so she waited....

What do you do for the next few minutes?

He doesn't see any good spots, but he does spot a box with a slice in the middle. Perfect for a peak hole.

The crew list is a disorganized mess. It hasn't been updated in months, and a lot of the crew are missing entries in 90% of the fields.

There's only three names that seem properly updated. You look at the publicly available information.

Tyria Vinjagga, a human female, is captain. In her image she looks mid-thirties. No makeup, a stern expression.

Haruko, a Weequay, is listed as Security Chief. Like most weequay, his face is lined and his skin is folded. He has a scar across his neck, probably from a large cut. He glowers at you through his image.

R2-E3, an R-series droid. It's painted black, with its panels grey. There is a white swirl on its dome, that would look like a spiral from above.

Caddy scans the comm channels, and passes through just as something is being said.

" -- going down the turbolifts now."

She pauses, and everyone strains to hear.

"Understood. Tell us when you're at the doors.

A few moments pass.

"Ach, it's wet down here! Why is the floor soaking?"
