M3: At the Ship

Standing on the ramp is a male Chevin dressed in simple brown robes, with a female Chandra-fan on his shoulders. She is chattering away while he stands near motionless.

Firing up his com he says "Ship to Team, We had very nasty creature aboard, however we killed it.  We will need to investigate further to see how it got there in the first place.  Aslo, we have a Chevin and a Chandra-fan at the ship.  Are they expected?"

Forim nods and says ++I will give them the welcome wagon.++

He says outloud to the droids "Those were sent by Caddy.  I will be there in a moment to let them in.  Hypno, can you keep an eye on them please?  They might be helpful, but they might steal from us as well."

Forim heads to the door and says "Give me a few minutes guys.  There was a bit of a mess on board and I want to have that all cleaned up before I let you on.  Wouldnt want you to catch anything"

Putting actions to words, he takes out the scanner shopvac to clean up this mess.  Once he is sure the mess is all cleaned up, and there is no lingering issues, he lets them in.

The airlock door opens, allowing the guests to enter. The Chevin must duck its massive head to fit inside, and the chandra-fan on its shoulders has to drop to cling to its back, chittering in annoyance as it nearly gets clocked.

The chandra-fan bobs around as the chevin stands nearly still. Both are wearing simple brown robes. The chevin needed a dozen draped around it, while the chandra-fan is swimming in hers.

"Hello, new-friend employer's-friend! This is Dokus Gree, big-strong friend who does good-hard work very well! In exchange for credits, yes. Was paid credits to move things. Big-heavy things, to inside dome."

The chandra-fan bobs and buzzes around dizzyingly. The chevin, Dokus Gree, is impassive. It gives one nod with its body-sized head, then speaks in a rumbling voice.

"Stuthee will sell your goods and take a commission."

You notice the chandra-fan Stuthee holding still for the first time. Her tiny head is pointed upward, sniffing the air.

"What is what is? Smell-strange."

"That would be the issue I was telling you about.  I hope the smell goes away sooner rather then later" he says to the men.  "The cargo bay is this way" he says leading them to their pile of junk.

The two newcomers have a brief debate.

"Bad smell, danger. Must go, can't stay."
"They cleaned it up. We agreed to do work."
"Didn't say bad chemicals would be here! Didn't pay for bad smells."

They round the corner and see the pile of machines and junk.

"The cargo isn't bad-smelling. We will do this quickly, and get our money."

That seems to resolve the debate. The big Chevin begins hefting huge metal objects with barely a grunt and trundling out of the ship with it. He pauses.

"I will unload it from the ship, and then take it into the pressure dome."

The pair begins their work.

Roger climbs out of the compartment, and returns the panel over the top before joining Forim.  He reaches his crewmate and the newcomers just as Forim gives him direction, and he looks between the three as he answers, “Roger, roger!”  He moves to the cargo bay and begins moving crates with a grav-lift.  “Miss Caddendra works fast to have found a buyer already.

There are always things to do on a ship, especially when it's as lightly crewed as this one. Forim busies himself with calibrations, diagnostics, and some gold old fashioned loose bolts. He keeps half an eye on the security monitors. One of the holocams shows the cargo bay and another shows the area at the base of the ship's gangplank.

The Chevin slowly but steadily carries the big, heavy equipment out of the ship and down the gangplank. Just outside the ship, his chandra-fan friend sits on a crate and keeps an eye on things. Suddenly she jumps up. She seems to be talking to someone off-cam, but without audio it's hard to tell what is going on.

Forim creeps close to the gangplank to get a firsthand look at what is going on.

A group of thugs, armed with slug throwers and decked out in mismatched uniforms are walking from the pressure dome towards the ship. They are not wearing breather masks or environment cloaks. While the moon has enough atmosphere to make it possible to breathe, they certainly seem cold and uncomfortable. The ones with fur or leather parts to their body armour are fussing to cover more of their exposed skin.

The Chandra fan is standing on a crate, shouting in her high pitched voice, talking even more rapidly than usual.

"... get your cut when you get it, you booze-gargling bullies! Now leave us alone before I get my friend. You know him!"

The dozen armed thugs do not seem intimidated by this threat.

"We have to check the imported cargo for contraband," one says with affected righteousness.

Stuthee is forced away from the crates by the dozen gun-toting thugs. She hops and sputters in indignation as they begin opening the crates and pulling their contents out.

Forim becomes conscious of a huge, lumbering form behind him. It is the chevin Dokus Gree, who leans down from behind the doorway. "What are we looking at?" he rumbles.

One of the thugs glances up the ramp. He recoils, startled.

As Forim comes down the ramp and announces himself, the bulk of the thugs notice him. One looks at him, then knocks over a crate to cause all its contents to spill out, while making eye contact.

The thugs begin to murmur speciesist epithets about Duros. Insensitive remarks about bald heads, large eyes, and grey skin are floated. They chuckle at one another, less at any humour than from deriving pleasure at demeaning a sentient to his face.

Dokus Gree shambles down the ramp after Forim and stands looming over his shoulder. The thugs continue their remarks, but at significantly lower volume.

One of the thugs, a seargent by his stripes, approaches Forim with a smarmy look on his scarred face. "Hello there, sir. Are you the captain of this vessel here? I'm Officer Sengel, with the dome security team. How do you do?"

His faux-politeness causes sniggers from his gang, and he looks over his shoulder to mug to them. Then he continues. "We're just here to inspect the incoming cargo for security threats. I trust this isn't a problem." The seargent hitches up his gunbelt.

Just as you are standing off against the Thugs and their strongarm tactics, out of the corner of your eye you can see a crowd of people arriving in the airlock Dome. Among them are your Rebel teammates. The rest are thugs, like these ones. Their crude and disheveled uniforms look to be very similar.

Everyone roll cool or vigilance, your preference

Forim is about to try to enter into a long and boring conversation with these thungs, ultimatly ending in him paying them some credits to go away.

However, as he takes a breath to get started he sees Caddy on her way with a dozen more thugs.  Switching tactics immediately he says "Roger, Combat Protocol Activate" not really sure if the droid will understand, but hoping the intimidation factor is there.

Putting actions to words, he draws his holdout and shoots the thug leader in the chest.  He always keeps his keeps his weapon on stun, so a blue circle shoots out.
