"The locals have probably done all the scouting and intelligence gathering for us and I think they are keen for us to go. They should be our first stop..." He closes his eyes again looking to catch some more sleep.

Roger, nods at Anders’ comment, “Right; use the resources at hand.  WE can build a better plan with more information.”

The Guardian and Custodian have been waiting for you to finish eating and talking amongst yourselves. Now that you appear to have finished for the moment, they drift over to see you.

Forim nods and there are a few long moments of silence before he looks up to flag over one of the locals.  With a start he sees that both the guardian and the custodian are already standing next to him. "Right." Forim says gathering his sluggish thoughts.  "So, we want to steal an Imperial shuttle to get off planet.  Do you happen to know where there bases are, and what kind of security they have?  We want to also steal some intelligence or capture an officer to help draw their suspicion away from your homes."

"There is a base, I believe it is a prison of some sort, to the south. I believe they have a weapon that shoots into the sky, to destroy star-ships that come too close. They test it fairly often. I believe there may be a star-ship of their own there, at least some of the time." Jevery spreads his hands in apology and looks sorrowful.

"I am responsible for the care of the Tree. I don't get out to explore very often. The Aki-Varshi are surely the ones who have more information for you regarding the presence of the Imperials on the planet. Would you like me to contact them to meet you on your way out of the sanctuary?"

Anders listened to the plan and the reply from the guardian. It did not fill him with hope, taking on a military facility armed with an ion cannon was probably going to be the end of him.

"And there is no civilian base, a trade port or the like ?"

Forim shudders and says "well we will have to deal that cannon if we set off alarms on our way out.  Any contacts you have will be helpful"  then wait for the answer about civilians

Zeic nods.  "I know you all feel pretty safe here but if this was ever found out then the pressure would be relentless.  They would destroy the entire area with 1000 ships if necessary.  Anyway, yes, a civilian transport that doesn't put us at risk would be best if there was such a thing."

Jevery shakes his head, his eyes sad behind his blindfold. "Unfortunately, no. There are no humans on the planet, except for the Imperials and their prisoners, and this gentlebeing," he says, indicating Anders.

He seems to be ignoring the comments regarding potential risks of danger.

"Death trap prison it is then...." He tries ti suppress the feeling building in his stomach.

”Do we need to rest here further, or set out and scout the base out?” Xyklo chirps, clearly eager to be getting to grips with the problem.

After getting themselves sorted out with rest, breakfast, and questions, the Rebels of Alpha Team set out. The mission's primary objective has been accomplished, and now all that remains is to get off-planet and out of the system.

With the assistance of Vies, the Guardian, you make your way out. He cannot speak your language so it's a long walk with little conversation. The path he leads you on involves an elevator and a conveyor belt, and then a long tunnel that eventually leads you out of the mountain.

It is just before noon. The sun is shining, and bright white puffy clouds are in evidence. There is a column of smoke rising from a forest, near the one you used for cover during your escape.

Vies mimes some instructions to you. He points down to a nearby flat area. He says, "Lum, Aki-Varshi," and some other things you don't understand, but points back at the flat area of rocks.

In reply to The Force (msg # 65):

"Flat area of rocks it is then... I think." Anders walks down to the area indicated by their guide and then stops to see if he has followed them.

Forim gets him to repeat the mimed instructions a few times so at least they can think back on them later.

Nodding his thanks, Forim quietly leads the way forward...

Zeic pursed his lips but said nothing for the time being and moved along with Forim.

Vias nods his approval and waves as you walk towards the area he has indicated. He does not follow you, but stays where he is and watches.

You reach the flattened area and wait. You are there for awhile, starting to feel a little exposed and impatient. You scan the horizon, looking for Imperial troops.

After an hour, you hear a strange chirping that turns into a whistle. One of the aki-varshi pokes their head up over a ridge. He glances around and then waves. Moments later a group of them come over the rise, and approach. Lum, the Master Warden, is with them.

"Greetings again," he says in the Geik language. "I see that you should be congratulated." He twiddles his own crystal and points to yours, each in turn.

Forum bows and says "thank you". Getting straight to the point he says " We need a way off planet, and ideally with a high level officer in tow"

Lum sits, and rests his chin on his hand. "Have you considered stealing a ship from the Empire prison to the south? One comes regularly with supplies. Would you be able to use it?"

"'High-level officer.' You mean a military leader? Perhaps one of the prison wardens? I know of no-one with higher authority on the planet. Perhaps those who have followed you to our world would be suitable."

Forim nods and says "That would work.  We were simply told to seek you out for advice on a target.  We have made quite a few mistakes thus far and want to avoid another...  I dont know if I.. our team... could handle the loss."

Lum gathers some sand on the flat rocks. He carefully flattens it, so as to create a smooth surface. Then he uses his knife's point to begin drawing sketches. He draws a series of maps for you to examine.

"We have scouted the prison and its buildings, to be prepared if the Empire's soldiers begin to cause trouble. I believe this knowledge will be of use to you."

He sketches a map of the southern territory. "There is a ridge, and then the land becomes wet and swampy in most places. They chose a foolish place to build their buildings; over time, the land has reclaimed much of it, and still they live there.

"There are three structures. This one, the most southern, is where most of the prisoners are kept. There are about a hundred now. It is also where the ship lands. You can see that most of the flattened rock-surface has been reclaimed by the swamp."

Lum draws another map. "This is where the prison guards live. It is much better kept, but as you can see there is a forest nearby. They keep vehicles there, including large walking beast-vehicles, that go about on two legs."

"It is this island here that I believe concerns you most." Lum draws a final map. "This is where the weapon that is supposed to attack enemy star-ships is. They test it from time to time; the light reaches the stars."

Lum sits back on his haunches, letting you look at his work.

Zeic looks a the map a bit.  Prisoners you say?  Any particular kind of prisoners or just anyone around? Any of your people?"

"None of our peoples. I do not believe they know of our tribes on this world. They bring people to this world from the stars, to keep them here. I do not know what they consider worthy of this punishment. They seem a random bunch. Some are warriors, while others are not. Most are human, like this one," He says, pointing to Anders.

Anders looked over the maps. "Are the guard towers armed or is the fence electrified ?" From what he could see the attack was probably beyond them as the best plan would be to hit all three installations at once and with suitable force.

"The towers are manned by men with large guns, and very strong lights. These are walls, not fences. They are about this tall." Lum stands and uses his arm to indicate a height of about nine feet.
