Mission 1: Yellow Zinc

Zakharo aimed and let loose a few more laser bolts to connect to the ship. Trying his best to aim for the ships engines. The red bolts went straight from the cannons to the enemy ship this time without any bolts missing.

14:02, Today: Victor Zakharo rolled 3 successes, 1 advantage using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1b 4a 1d.  gunnery + aim.

9 damage

[Private to GM: Advantage - See something relevant to the fight? EDIT: Nevermind.

Also if you want, add difficulty to see if I can get a direct hit on the engines. If the difficulty will exceed my success, i'll edit the post accordingly.
]

14:10, Today: Victor Zakharo rolled no successes, 1 threat using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1s.  missing setback for gunenry.

Zev wrestled with the controls.

“Hang on everyone!”

20:09, Today: Zev Barris rolled 6 successes, 1 triumph using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1A 3P ((4(A), 5(P), 2(P), 12(P))) for Evasive Maneuvers.

Zev’s long digits danced across the console and then he yanked back on the yoke, juking the ship into an extended barrel roll, making the freighter do a maneuver that caused the older ship to creak. This ship has never been made to perform in this way and perhaps never will.

F3-3T clamped on to the circuit board with his multi-tool as Zev flew the freighter like it was an A-Wing, the thrill of battle was amazing, he would have to congratulate the Duros Pilot when he regained full gyroscopic levels. "Weeeoooowww", the little Astromech screamed out in excitement. The rebels were sure to triumph with such pilots on their side.

Mission 1: Yellow Zinc

The battle between the starfighters was bloody. The IRDs were outnumbered now. Red Squadron took advantage of their numbers, forcing the IRDs to choose between two targets. Whichever fighter they ignored would slip behind them and open fire while the other was acting as bait. The X-Wings took some serious punishment, but two more IRDs were destroyed. Now only two remained.

The light freighter, faster than their target, was able to maneuver along the axis of the disc-shaped vessel. This allowed them to use the superstructure of the enemy ship as cover against its own gunners. Meanwhile, their own gunners fired with abandon. The transport was stitched with laser fire all along its circumference. Steam gouted out into space.

The enemy fired back. Some of their shots came close, but F3-3T's supercharge of the shields deflected incoming laser bolts.

Normally taking Evasive Maneuvers would mean increasing the difficulty of all Gunnery checks, but as long as the enemy does not Gain the Advantage you do not suffer the penalties.

"Zeep. ZeepO...." F3-3T gave an aye aye to Seku about bringing the coms back online. The split second the astromech stuck his jack into the port he was blasted by a bolt of electricity. Some nerf herder had switched the positive negative wires on the comms relay and F3-3T was now paying the consequences.

The lights flickered in the freighter hull. When they came back on F3-3T did a quick scan and noticed the general systems operation was boosted by 23 percent. "Dink. Zappo. Glunk." F3-3T protested in anger, even with the slight boost to the overall power of the ship, he still he had failed his duty. The angry droid picked up his rotor wheel and kicked the comms relay panel for good measure.

21:07, Today: F3-3T rolled no successes, 4 advantages using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1B 3P 1A 1D ((6(B), 1(P), 11(P), 6(P), 5(A), 4(D))). COMMS STILL OFFLINE!

As sparks fly and F3 protests, Seku searches the maze of buttons in front of her with no success for the reset on the comms array. She does find the ship intercom however, which she flips on to page the gunners. "Attention gunnery stations, we're having some technical difficulties with our comms equipment up here. Please feel free to continue to shoot the enemy ship, but remember that we need to take the cargo intact."

Seku Bondara rolled no successes, 2 advantages using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 3A 1D 1S. Computers check to find the kriffing reset button.

I'll use the advantages to send a boost die to the next gunner taking a shot.

Victor Zakharo continued his barrage on the freighter. Trying his best to compensate for Zev's crazy flying. Quite certain that this ship should not be able to pull some of these moves that he's taking. "We'll do our best!" he responded to Seku's admission. Some of the laser bolts miss the ship proper but a few find their mark.

15:25, Today: Victor Zakharo rolled 1 success, 3 advantages using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 2b 4a 1d.  gunery + aim + advantage boost

7 damage + crit

"Captain of the CSA vessel, stand down your weapons and drop your shields. We mean no harm to you or your crew. Surrender and we'll be quick to let you on your way."

Mission 1: Yellow Zinc

With a few well-placed laser pulses, the enemy transport's engines go down. They keep flickering as power is directed to them, but it seems that the energy is not creating a stable ion drive. It's fairly quick to recalibrate, but for the moment the engines are ineffective. The transport drifts.

The comm crackles to life in response to your prodding. "This is Captain Valis Landal of the CSA ship 188 Theata. We do not negotiate with pirates."

Cued by her words, the enemy's guns return fire. One of the shots wings your vessel, causing minor damage.

6 Damage, presoak

The X-Wings and the IRDs are in a real slugging match now. Though only three IRDs remain, they form up in a V and tear through Red Squadron's formation. Shots are exchanged, with lasers slamming into several craft. One IRD is left derelict, leaving only two.

3D Warfare, someone.

High tension, hunan drama, all out war!!!! This is what a mathematic astrogation droid dreams of. F3-3T rolls around toward the cockpit, whistling and whirling. "Bleep. Bleepie.D. Bleep!!!!". He throws out to each computer display and array proper coordinates for movement, speed, inertia, firing sights, for some reason average size of Twi'leks foot apparel on Nar Shadda and a few lewd images to the lounge area.

His head rolls over like a spinning top. "[Private to Zev Barris: "We Have Them on The Run, Divide the Empire and Conquer! They shall know the vengeance of the Hutt Kajidic!!! Disregard traitorous programming. Beep.]Zeep. Dreep. Wooooeww." A small disco ball reflection emanates from his innards showering the cockpit in a miniature galaxy of light and thumping bass of the famous Jizz-Wailers of the Max Rebo Band play for a few brief moments.

A small piece of the first IRD has broken off and is spinning around in a blur right spot in the middle freighters firing arc.

19:07, Today: F3-3T rolled 3 successes, 1 threat using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 4A 3D.  Warfare probability BLEEP... I THREAT GUNNERY.

With the comms reactivated, Seku shoots a broad grin at Zev as she rather dramatically hits the button to reopen the channel with the CSA ship. "Attention Captain Landal, it is very convenient for you then that we aren't pirates, but members of the Rebel Alliance. You might even say it is fortunate for you, since losing some of you cargo and incurring damages from forces in open rebellion against the Empire will make the Empire responsible for the losses per the terms of your standard insurance arrangement. You are under no obligation to lose your lives in defense of a portion of your cargo, so I suggest that you stand down, allow us to board, retrieve what we're here for, leave a message which will make very clear for the Empire exactly who is responsible, and be on our way." As she speaks, Seku reclines in her seat and rests a hand behind her head in a picture of collected confidence.

Seku Bondara rolled 2 successes using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 3A 1P 3D.  Negotiation.

Mission 1: Yellow Zinc

F3-3T considers what he knows of the IRD fighters. Apparently they have an excellent pilot ejection system. There is some probability that some of the pilots of the destroyed starfighters are still alive, extra-vehicular in space. F3-3T tries to calculate the probability based on what he has seen, but too many variables make his calculations unreliable.

There is a pause, a long pause, of nearly a minute. During this time the transports' guns are still, but the starfighter battle goes on. Indeed, another IRD and another X-Wing are destroyed during the deliberation.

The comm crackles to life again.

"Rebel forces... call off your starfighters, and we will do the same. We will discuss further terms once our pilots are safe."

After you call Red Leader and inform him of this priority requirement, he immediately orders his squad to hold fire. The X-Wings bank and re-form, allowing the IRDs to withdraw. They pull back to take position above the transport.

The comm chimes again, and the transport captain speaks.

"Rebels, as delegated master of this vessel I am prepared to offer you the opportunity to board with no more than three people. You will be allowed to tour our ship under guard by CSA Security Police. We will extend a reasonable credit, which you will use to select goods of equal or lesser value. These goods will be exchanged to you in consideration of your cessation of further hostilities."

before the Imps show up. I think I should go over and try to work this deal out politely with Victor and Jess as backup while Dev and F3 stay here with guns trained on them. Victor, Jess, if it comes to it, can you handle some corporate security?"
She seems to pause and consider something. "Honestly, we might be able to get F3 aboard too. Since he's a droid and all, no offense." She looks around at the others for opinions and alternative plans.

Over the commlink, you cannot discern whether or not the Corporate Sector captain is playing straight.

Red Leader, who has been listening in, calls you on a private channel.

"I don't think we can trust these guys to play straight. They could be looking to get some hostages, or to play for time until some backup gets here. Good job getting them to stand down, but I don't think they've completely knuckled under just yet.

"I suggest you go aboard as if you were expecting a fight. We will be watching to make sure the fighters don't cause any trouble or if the transport tries to run away with you."

"Blurp. Zeepo. Ding-Ding". [Private to Zev Barris: Might as well blow up gravity generator why we are at it, or dismantle hyperdrive.]". The droid chuckled to Zev.
