Crouching below a window, Dienton watches the truck pull in.  He keeps his head down, but forgets to flatten his ears.  As the stormtroopers disembark they see two furry triangles poking up from the window frame.  He pulls his blaster pistol and gets ready.

The groundtruck's troop door at the back unfolds and opens. A half-dozen of the troopers get out of the truck, including their seargent. Two of them are carrying the tied & blindfolded Caddy. They drop her on the ground, with two of the stormtroopers flanking her. The seargent stands in the middle of the field, and the rest take up positions at the gate.

The troopers are about fifty meters away from you. Long for a pistol shot, but excellent range for a blaster rifle. At least you have excellent cover in this abandoned building's windows. You also managed to park your speeder just in front of the building. No-one seems to have reported it as stolen yet.

Your actions

Dienton grimaced in frustration, he had no weapon capable of taking the shot at this range.  Not wanting to lose the advantage of surprise, he dashes out of the building running full tilt towards the troopers, but angles to the side to keep his companions lines of sight clear.

Once in range he lets loose with a furious volley of blaster bolts.  The troopers jerk in suprise, one is hit and reels from the impact.  Dienton attemps to dive behind a trash container, but slips ends up sliding on his backside, exposed to the troopers view.

Onyx can't help but sigh at his companions charge. The imperials had the upper hand. They had Caddy. A bold charge like this is exactly to a situation where Caddy could get caught in the crossfire. Then again it wasn't his call. He was just the muscle.

Onyx drew his rifle from its place around his back and aimed it at the trooper on Caddy's left. He paused a second making sure Caddy wouldn't be in the way of the shot before he pressed the trigger down and fired.

Onyx rolled 2 successes, 4 threats using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1a 2p 3d.  Sniping.

The blast catches the stormtrooper in the chest sending him sprawling down limp. As the trooper falls he lands directly on Caddy trapping her and making it nearly impossible for her to move.

Forim remains where he is, and lines up his rifle.  He fires quickly scoring shots all over trying to force the troopers to divide their attention

sorry about absence, was driving across the country.

The stormtroopers are taken aback by the sudden charge and volley of blaster fire. They fall all over themselves trying to get to cover.

Several stormtroopers take wounds, their armour smoking but largely intact. One is caught in the face and falls over.

Caddy feels a weighty impact as an armoured male falls over her. The impact is surprising, but it isn't a hard enough hit to hurt. The stormtrooper lies still. He must have been killed or knocked unconscious.

The stormtroopers struggle to get to cover. Some hide behind the wind fence, though this is more concealment than cover. The material is not sturdy enough to deflect a blast.

Some make an effort to take cover behind the ground truck, but their seargent waves them off. Instead, he points forward several times. The groundtruck begins rolling forward. As it goes, the rear door begins to close again.

The groundtruck drives out onto the sandy street and turns to the left. As it drives away, the gun turret swivels and fires.

A pair of charged bolts slam into the abandoned building that the rebels had been taking cover in. Forim is sprayed with chunks of duracrete. He shakes this off without injury, but the bad news hasn't come yet. He glances up. The building is on fire.

The five remaining stormtroopers are not taken aback for long. Four of them aim their rifles, trying to catch Ikki in a crossfire.

It doesn't work. The youthful rebel is simply moving too fast for the stormtroopers to hit. Puddles of glass form around his feet as he hops lightly.

The stormtrooper seargent steps forward, ahead of his men and away from Caddy. He takes aim with his blaster pistol. Levelling the handgun at Dienton, he fires.

The weight of the stormtrooper on top of her was uncomfortable and his armour dug into her... and yet, blindfolded and tied, she could do little.  Struggling against the bonds was mostly ineffectual and just draw attention to her.... This is all going through her mind as she's suddenly shocked by the impact to the concrete and the shower of stone.  Are they all ok?  She tries to maneuver her hands to where she can pull off the blindfold.

Dienton grits his teeth in pain, but quicly pushes the sensation aside.  He remains prone to minimize his exposure and takes carefull aim at the nearest trooper . . his bolts seem to bend around his target, missing completely.  The troopers all react to his barrage however, jerking is suprise, they seem confused.

"Poodoo" Forim shouts as he fires another volley at the troopers to give his team mates a few extra moments.

He then runs down the stairs of the building as he reloads his rifle.

Ikki kept his focus on the fight even as the blaster bolts flew around him, hearing the crunch of the glass under his foot, he pauses again and takes aim this time, squeezing his tirgger and letting another bolt fly. Landing a shot on one of the troopers the shock or pain causing them to drop their weapon. Judging the distance, he places begins to move once again forward, closing the gap while they still had the upper hand in his fight. He'd probably end up dropping his rifle again but he'd defeintly cause some chaos when he starts swinging his axe around.

Forim fires sporadically as he escapes the burning building. He is just about to get out the front door to safety when something explodes.

At least the stormtroopers are forced to keep their heads down.

Dienton opens fire as well, but the stormtroopers are getting themselves behind more effective cover now. His blasts miss their targets.

Ikki blasts another stormtrooper, throwing him flat against the ground. He hurls himself closer as well.

Caddy pulls the blindfold off to find that the stormtrooper lying across her abdomen is quite dead. She peers around. The stormtrooper seargent is only a few meters away from her, but is ignoring her. Instead, he is striding towards Ikki.

The stormtroopers abstain from firing at the closest target. Instead, they coordinate their fire at Dienton. The combined fire outlines the little Chandra-fan, but fails to find the mark. Instead, they accidentally set fire to the wind-fence they are using for concealment.

"Emperor's heart!" one shouts as he tries to get away from the fire.

The seargent ignores this. He draws a pair of vibroblades and thumbs them to power. Now in melee range, he drops into a combat stance. The two face each other for mere moments. Then the stormtrooper lunges.

The seargent uses the left hand blade only to feint, forcing Ikki to dodge right. As he does so, the real attack comes. The seargent catches Ikki across the back & shoulder.

The Force rolled 4 successes, 2 threats using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1a 2P 2D.  Stormtrooper sgt vibroblades. 8 Damage.

The stormtrooper seargent is totally focused on his prey. Caddy has only a few moments to take advantage of this.

A dead soldier across her, the weapon still pointing 'forwards' towards her friends.   While she'd tied up, can she get the weapon to aim at the exposed back of the double-blade wielding Sergeant?  Well, she's going to try!

He tries to open the door, but it bests him.  He runs down the street saying into his com "Heading to the speeder, let me know who needs pickup!"

He runs to the speeder they had acquired prior to engaging the stormtroopers.  It was a bit further away, as they did not want to get spotted.

Dientons small profile had saved him again!  The blaster bolts were flying everywhere, but they all passed harmlessly over his head.  The tide was turning!  Several of the troopers had already fallen.  Dienton rolled to his stomach and took another bead on the stormtroopers, he breathed deep and let loose with another volley.  The troopers tried to to duck out of the way, but they were too slow.  Dienton's bolts struck one in the chest plate, the impacts smoked and sizzled.

Seeing the sergeant take a cut at Ikki Onyx hopes to provide support pointing his rifle at the sergeant, and waiting for the perfect moment to fire. The Sargent steps closer to Ikki and gives Onyx an opening. He squeezes the trigger

The bullet fires. It is to close to Ikki and barely misses him. Onyx's eyes light up in surprise as he almost hit a teammate. Get your shit together. Is all he can think as realizes just how close he came to screwing up.

Onyx takes 1 strain.

Ikki grits his teeth in pain as the blade cuts through his clothes, dropping his rifle as one part pain and another as tactic to draw his Axe. This guy has it in for him, as he grips his axe's handle with his two hands and whips it off his back. Using the momentum from the draw his swings his heavy weapon down on the Sargent, catching straight down his chest with a howl of primal rage. However pulling back to continue the fight, he slips on a loose rock, landing on his back and knocking the wind out of him.

Forim dives into the speeder and guns the engine. It lifts off with a buzz, sand blowing from its exhaust ports.

Onyx fires, but misses. Dienton fires as well, blasting a stormtrooper from his feet. He falls into the burning sand and is still.

The two remaining stormtroopers are in a tight spot, but the Empire's shock troops don't give up easily. One fires a covering barrage while the other hurls a grenade.

The grenade flies through the air, landing near the landspeeder. Forim angles the speeder to blast it with exhaust. The grenade flies backwards and lands in an abandoned building before exploding.

Onyx and Caddy fire blasters at the stormtrooper seargent. He ignores them, focusing instead on Ikki. Ikki hacks into the seargents' chestplate. The white armour is torn loose, leaving only the black bodyglove beneath it. It is already stained red with blood.

The seargent flicks his helmet with his right vibroblade, knocking it off. Under his helmet, he is a white human male with close-cut black hair. He has a stern, ferocious expression as he closes with Ikki.

Ikki, now on the ground, tries to parry the oncoming seargent with the axe. The stormtrooper approaches like a hunting cat, crouched and holding his blades like claws.

He thrusts both blades down, missing Ikki by millimeters. One blade is driven into the sand-covered ferrocrete. Ikki's jacket is pinned to the ground.

The Force rolled no successes, 1 advantage, 1 triumph using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1A 2P 3D.  Seargent twin vibroblades.

Having missed and not wanting to shoot one of her colleagues (but desperately wanting to be more mobile considering she's seen a hand-grenade thrown and explode!)  She struggles to try and release herself from the bonds but gets nowhere.   It does however help her focus on things and she ensures the body (still lying on top of her) is angled to shield her from view and the small sand-storm.

The tide had turned, but there was still danger everywhere.  Smoke billowed and debris rained down on the scene.  Ikki was engaged at close quarters with the sergeant, Dienton could see blood tricking down a gash in his back, he snarled, remained in his current position and turned his full attention to support his comrade.

Ikki grunts as the blade narrowly mises him, but as he goes to counter attack from prone, the blade pulls him back down as his swing misses widly. Feeling a little trapped, he struggles to remove the blade from his jacket.

Dienton blasts the stormtrooper seargent. The blasts hit him on his arms. Smoke rises from new scorch marks, and the smell of burnt plastoid fills the air.

The stormtrooper reels back. His expression mixes pain and furious determination. Ikki moves wildly on the ground, pulling loose of the temporary snare. The stormtrooper lunges with his remaining blade.

The other stormtrooper is too caught up fending off the other rebels to contribute effectively.

Caddy manages to twist and contort herself sufficiently to free herself from the stormtrooper atop her. She stands up, hands still bound but able to act freely.

Finally!   Now if only she could fire straight!  Bending down, she retrieves the soldiers rifle.  She tries to aim but there's not really much time with both her hands together there's not much chance of it anyway.   Pulling the trigger at the seargent's back though is at least a 'broad target' and the fizz of the weapon is accompanied by a 'smack' as the energy weapon hits home
