Re: RJ: Mos Espa

Jeron shoots Rancor, causing his right side to go numb. He looks in shock at his arm hanging limply at his side.

Caddy fires her gun into Rancor, who stumbles forward. He collapses on top of her, knocking her flat. His considerable bulk pins her down. From here, she can smell his overripe B.O. and breath smell, and also can see that his eyes are all glossy. Rancor has been knocked out.

Ikki knocks one thug into another, knocking one out and another onto his back. The last one falls back a few paces, yanking his comrade up onto his feet. Their expressions are very concerned, especially now that Rancor has been knocked out of the fight.

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

With the wind knocked out of her, Caddy can't do much more than grunt a, "Get him orf o me!" Even as she struggles to shift the dead-weight.   Of course, she was still euphoric despite the uncomfortable position as she had (despite her general lack of combat training) brought down the Rancor!

No doubt with some struggling and hopefully some help from Jeron, she'll slip out from under the 'beast' and stand.  She makes a point of brushing herself off before looking directly at the remaining thugs, "I think it's about time you caved, don't you?  Your employer is indesposed.  You now work for me."

[OOC: Negotiation 2P, 1A, 1B (from Ikki) + Whatever bonus I get from downing Rancor given my earlier words + any bonus I get from having two mean cohorts who are clearing 'doing the business' + any bonus I get from the fact that they now have an our that doesn't mean dying in the process + any bonus I might get from the fact that the barman himself might be ready to weigh in on things! :-)]

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

The thugs offer no contest to the ceasing of hostilities, throwing their hands up & weapons down. However, they do seem a bit perturbed at your last statement.

"Now hang on there, you," one says. "Just 'cause you beat our leader, doesn't mean we work for you now. We got a contract, a steady income, and plenty of perks for working for Boss Thrumdush. He's a personal agent of Jabba the Hutt!"

"[Language unknown: Thu]," says the other still-conscious one. "[Language unknown: Onca me osck be n vor cheeut? Nitr siart whas ounandmen tr antalltho!]"

The team gains 1 boost in subsequent interactions with minions employed by Jabba the Hutt or his agents.

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

Ikki stands down as they surrender, rubbing his fist again as the post-adrenaline rush wears off and the dull pain of hitting the thug sets in. He does however move in to collect their weapons, with the intent of keeping them as the spoils of the battle. Picking them up and then moving back to Caddy, looking over the weapons.

He does look confused when the other speaks something other than basic, looking at Caddy and Jeron for some sort of translation.

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

Jeron wasn't quick enough to stop the gamorrean from landing on Caddy. But he did quickly move to help her shift the bulk off of her and helped her to her feet. "Of course."

He frowned at her assumption of trying to take over the thugs. He assumed correctly that the thugs wouldn't be having that. He didn't understand the second thug, however. So to the first thug he demanded, "What did he say?"

Caddy simply raises her eyebrow adding, "Well, I've got a bone to pick with Thrumdush.  No one tries to kill me and gets away with it... and you were complicit.  So start talking and earn your keep."  And then pointedly looking to the non-basic speaker and raises an marked eyebrow, "And speak basic man, it's rude to do otherwise and you've already used up all my good will in simply allowing you to... live."

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

The klatoonian looks affronted. With a thick accent, he tries to get through a sentence in Basic. "I not good speak Basic. Dumb bad languages. Like Bocce better."

The human says, "You want to find Boss Thrumdush? He sets his own schedule, but... at least once a day he checks in at the storehouse. Jabba's storehouse, it's where all his shipments are held. Jabba likes to keep a close eye on this things. Lately Thrumdush has been spending more time there. Must be something good, 'cause a bunch of shipments have come in too."

The klatoonian cuts in. "Many ships ready to take out things too." He gestures at the spacers in the room.

Caddi will 'bow' her head, "Which is all the more reason why you'll use it around me and I'll appreciate your effort all the more."  She gives him a bright smile that he will hopefully take as 'praise' before she asks the pair, "Excellent.  Then we'd better go and visit Thrumdush."  She turns towards the door before looking over at the barman, "Please deal with that lump of lard for the sell-out he is."  She'll then look to Ikki and Jeron.  Things could go down hill *fast* given their destination.  Were they going to stick with her?

The entire team can tell that they've only got a little time before Thrumdush hears about this. Either by commlink or messenger, one of these lackeys is going to try to report the goings-on to Thrumdush. Especially since Rancor was ordered to bring you in...

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

Ikki looked back at Caddy and nodded to let her know he was gonna stick with her, it seemed like they were getting closer to funding their target. But shipments? How would they know which one was the one they were ordered to take. Turning to the thugs "What have they brought in as shipments? And how many are normally at the storehouse.." He questioned them, still rubbing his fist as a reminder of what happened to the last guy who he had made contact with.

Hopefully they answered quickly and they could be off, he was thinking of knocking them out or trying to use them later. They had started a timer and time was ticking.
Waiting till they answered he looked at Jeron and Caddy "We should go quickly..." He whispered quietly.

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

The thugs look irritated. "Sithspit, how would we know what they brought in? The best way to get in trouble in our business is asking lots of questions."

At the mention of the storehouse, he raises an eyebrow and glances at his colleague. He returns the glance. You can hear the turbines firing in their heads as they think over how to respond.

"Only few at storehouse during daytime," the klatoonian says. "Less than two dozen."

While the questioning goes on, Ikki gathers up the dropped weapons. It's not much of an arsenal; a pair of vibroknives, a vibroknuckles, and a slugthrower pistol. Rancor the gamorrean has a big, heavy vibroaxe hanging on his belt.

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

For good measure, Caddy will quietly ask Ikki to check for access cards (and to empty the gamorrean's wallet) and ensure that the human and klatoonian are focused on her while he does this.  "Less than two dozen?   Easy enough to deal with then."   Utter confidence, "Please.  Lead the way."

Ikki nods to the lady, before offering her one of the vibroknives and the other to Jeron. Placing the Slugthrower on his belt along with the brass knuckles. Making his way over the the slab of meat on the floor, he carefully removes the Vibroaxe from Rancor, before checking the Thug leader down for cards and his wallet. He'd put his Vibroaxe to good use.

18:13, Today: Ikki Sorlock rolled 1 success, 4 advantages using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1P 2A with rolls of 7(P), 8(A), 5(A).  Perception.

I wanna roll a Deception check to lay a false lead to place blame on the Empire, what would the Difficulty be?>

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

3D. Setback or Depends on what you want to do/say to lay such a trail.

Jabba's storehouse is the biggest building in town. The compound is roughly 'L'-shaped: one great building, surrounded by a thick stone wall.

There are two gateways, protected by metal double grate-doors.

The East entrance is the delivery area. The garage door looks large enough to accommodate a groundcar or a speeder, and there is one personnel door as well. Through the gate, you can see a pair of weequay on a slow patrol around the sandy yard.

The north gate allows you to see the front walkway leading up to the double-doors at the front. They are guarded by a gamorrean and a human, leaning against the walls of the building.

The streets around the complex aren't very busy. There are a few bums resting in shady alleys and a few parked speeders. This area is mostly warehouses and low-rent housing.

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

Jeron asked Ikki for one of the vibroknives if he could. He had a combat knife already but another knife wouldn't hurt. And the vibroknife cut better.

He looked over the storehouse as they approached it. He looked at Caddy and nodded towards the delivery area. It was likely to get them closer to where things were stored, but he didn't know what she planned to do for gaining entrance, whether sneaking or talking, so he stayed quiet.

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

Ikki hands Jeron the knife. Since Sorlock had checked out the place from earlier, he once again tried to plot a path where it would be easiest to break in. Maybe sneak in and provide back up for the other two, or get all three of them inside without them knowing. The new weight of the Vibro-ax on the belt was something he had to get used to as well. The Spy checked over each part of the compound, tapping his fingers on the blade of his weapon.

Hopefully I get a Bonus for coming by the first time.

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

Ikki notices that one of the walls on the eastern side of the building is cracked. It would be easy to climb. Peering through the crack carefully gives a narrow view of the inside of the compound.

There's not much happening. A half-dozen guards are on a lazy patrol around the building.
The patrols are slow and irregular. Each pair of guards ambles around, slugthrower carbines carried loosely on shoulder-straps. They seem to prefer staying on the west side, where the building provides shade.

With Ikki wondering and Jeron looking to her for guidance, she needed to make a decision and so she looked at the two thugs, "Right.  What's your boss' code for getting in.   And then I think you've done enough.   I wouldn't want you getting 'into trouble' - being such good boys and all."

Re: RJ: Mos Espa

The thugs point at the gate. "Boss Thrumdush has a key-card. It opens the mag-lock." Indeed, you can see a lock on the gate.

"He hired everyone who works there. They all know him, and they see him once a day. He sometimes has Rancor with him. Sometimes not."

Caddandra can see the two of them shifting back & forth a bit, and looking at each other meaningfully. She's pretty sure they're up to something.

"When a guard gets here for work, the guards at the front have to let them in," the thug volunteers. "I could get the guards to open the gate for us, so it would be open for you."

Ikki picks up the comms as he peers through the crack ++ Half-dozen guards, Slugthrower carbines. Slow, unprepared and prefer the west side. Going to scale the wall and assist from a higher position++ He replies with a quick sitrep. Hopefully they could get this done before the thugs alert them. Keeping his climbing gear on his back with the difficulty of the climb, he should be able to do it with no problem. As Caddy strides up he begins climbing.

Ikki fairly throws himself over the wall, landing on the sandy ground with a soft thud. No guards are in vision right now, though some could come around the corner at any moment.

From here, Ikki can see a few windows in the building. They're not very big, only about three feet across and perhaps two wide. They are about two meters up, spaced evenly around the building every three meters. They are tinted brown, allowing some light in but not so much as to be blinding.

Jeron watched the two thugs leave. He murmured quietly, + +"Good. The east is the delivery area, which is likely better to enter through anyway, considering what we're here for."+ +

He glanced at Caddy and gave her a wink. "Shall we?" He didn't offer her his arm, though the thought amusingly flashed through his mind. He began walking around towards the east entrance. + +"Ikki, will you be able to let us in? Or do we need to climb as well?"+ +
