The Howling Red Household
"Time to get up, Carpaccio. You'll be late for school," your mother said as she threw open the curtains of your room letting the sunlight stream in.

Re: The Howling Red Household
For an instant, Carpaccio grumbled and turned over.  But...

Heroes don't laze about!  And Carpaccio might not be a hero-- yet-- but he had to start on the habits of one as soon as possible!

He sprang out of bed.  Posed.

Pulled a blanket over himself immediately.

"Um, a little privacy, mom?  please?"

Carpaccio dressed with great haste, including the traditional family scarlet hooded cloak they took their name from.  Tucking the (rather small) axe he had in his belt, he hurried downstairs for breakfast.

Your father and mother were still at the dining room table, and you can hear the TV on in the living room, so your younger sister must have already finished.

"Is that lazy butt up yet?" you can hear her ask.

Re: The Howling Red Household
Carpaccio, for all that he had a great distance to go to be reckoned a true hero, was like them in one important way-- it was the true mark of destiny for a hero, the unmistakable trait that revealed their true nature.

He ate his breakfast like it was made of air, causing a brief vacuum as the food vanished.  And pointedly ignored his little sister.

"...done!" he proclaimed, happily.
