Primary: Darkness
A cave of a room, it is a room painted black with a dull gray light in the center of the ceiling. Darkness users will find that it is surprisingly comfortable in this dark and easy to see in. There are simple chairs around the room, bolted to the floor. There is no specific pattern to where the chairs are placed. Occasionally, the lights are brightened so you can exercise your ability. Here you are under the instruction of Deservet Cono, whom you will call Darkness.

Aileen stepped into the room, feeling the Dark swirl and contort around her as it welcomed one of its own. Her dark blue eyes shifted, taking in its black walls and the dim light at the center, so dull that it felt as if it were ever so close to being swallowed whole. Accustomed to the feel of the Dark, the young girl simply headed to a nearby wall onto which she could deposit her backpack, before heading towards the center of the room in order to await her instructor.

Meanwhile, outside the room, Lilith patiently waited atop the entrance to the training room. Whilst a creature with an inherent affinity for the Dark, she would have still suffered the corrupting effects of the highly concentrated Element within the darkened room. Thus she waited, patiently observing and waiting in order to see who Aileen's fellow Dark Elementals were.

Echoing steps are heard coming towards you as Deservet enters the room. When the footsteps stop, Darkness flows off of a tall figure like smoke down a mountain, revealing the instructor. His black eyes find yours as he looks down at you. His tan skin still seems somewhat pale. His black hair falls to his shoulders and reflects no light whatsoever. Upon his appearance, he nods to the girl, wearing a scowl, and says; "My name is Deservet Cono. I will be your Darkness Primary instructor. You may call me by my title of Darkness, and that is all." His voice is deep, but there is a shadow of high echo that seems to come from around him as he speaks.

Aileen eyed the instructor carefully, her gaze showing a tinge of worry. He seemed... off, as if there was way more to him than met the eyes. In a way, he reminded her of the Dark itself, always twisting and turning as it covered itself endlessly. Bowing her head to him as he spoke, as was polite, before listening to what he had to say.

"My Greetings, Darkness. It appears I am the first to arrive. Are there others touched by Dark that are to arrive? I have felt a few of them during the morning hours. And what is it that you require of me to do during this course?"

Deservet appears to watch the girl, but in what way may be unclear. There is promise with this one. Though there will be more challenges for her than others, if what I sense in her is right. His eyes shift above the girl at the appearance of smoke coming through the door, a whisper being played and repeated over it. Those of the Darkness Element would understand the simple message.

"Darkness, one of your students remains in Elemental History with me. Please come lead him to your class. Complete."

A Darkness user would hear the message as though the Complete spoke it normally and not in a whisper. Deservet's face becomes one of slight annoyance as the smoke clears and disappears from sight. Deservet looks back down at the girl.

"Well, miss," Deservet begins to reply, "I require that you take me seriously. You will face more struggle than you might realize. I do mean you personally. Now, we will begin class when I return. You may come with me to retrieve the student or you may wait here. That is up to you." With this, Deservet looks ahead, walks around the girl and to the door, and closes it. He nods to the raven waiting patiently outside the door, as if it was the most common companion in the world.

Aileen felt the slightest bit of unease as her instructor eyed her carefully, making her wish she knew what thoughts laid deep within his mind. It was then that a message from the Complete herself manifested within the shadows, carrying her soft voice as if she were among them, signaling that the one she noticed was of the same Element as her was to be brought over by the Instructor himself. "How peculiar... I wonder why is Darkness' presence required for him to be led here."

The girl nodded at Deservet's words, before raising an eyebrow as he referred to the struggles she would face in the future. Without even giving her enough of a pause to try and make sense of the sudden affirmation, he announced that he would go and fetch the other student, and that she was free to follow. Aileen simply stood in the Darkness alone for a few moments, unsure what to say or do, before finally dashing to the exit.

Lilith nodded back at the senior Darkness Elementalist, happy to see that her presence was noted, before jumping into the air as Aileen ran out of the chamber and approached Deservet. "W-Wait! I'm coming with you.", she said simply, slightly out-of-breath due to the sudden physical exertion, her raven companion encircling her from above.

Deservet enters the room, and dims the pale light to nothing. He stands in the center of the room, waiting for the students.

-> From Elemental History

Once more leaving her raven companion outside in order to allow her to not be tainted by the Dark within the room, Aileen stepped inside, her eyes quickly adjusting to the lack of Light. It was then that Light faded entirely as Deservet turned the small light bulb off, which made Aileen feel formless; now deprived of sight, she needed to use the Dark itself to feel her whereabouts and where the others were. It was oddly comforting, in a way, as the sensation of using the Dark was just as potent, if not more, than her other senses.

"What should we do next, Darkness?", the Dark Elemental asked, her curiosity almost bursting from the amount of anticipation she could feel within herself.

From Elemental History

Simon quietly followed the others to the class room.  It wasn't exactly impressive, but it was fairly unique.  He stood around like the other students not sure what to expect, and then the lights were extinguished.  Simon exhaled a sigh of relief.  Wrapped in the comforting blackness he finally felt like he could relax.  The tension, he didn't realize he was carrying in his shoulders, eased.  For a second he could pretend he was alone, even though he knew he wasn't.  He took a deep breath but said nothing.

Whispers of no particular understandable wording soon can be heard in the dark under Deservet's words. "Well, let me begin by asking you all something." Even though Simon may not specifically know it, Deservet turns his attention directly to him. "How many of you hear voices in the Dark? And understand them?"  His voice is almost...stern. As if the question is imperative to answer.

Aileen listened intently to Deservet's words, hearing the whispers that coated the man's voice. At Floyd's answer, the Dark Elementalist nodded, assuming that her movement could be sensed by the teacher. "Indeed, you, or something within this room, are whispering right now along with your words. Though they're not loud enough to hear..." At that, she tried attuning her hearing to better feel the vibrations caused by the more subtle whispers of the Dark.

"I think it's a little too early to tell," Simon answered softly, but one couldn't help but wonder who's question he was answering.  He turned his head to listen to each of the other students as they answered.  Most thought he was crazy because he heard voices.  Did these other kids have the same problem?  Simon tugged on his shirt starting to get a bit annoyed at the silky, over sized, woman's blouse that kept slipping off one of his shoulders.  He would have to get a proper shirt soon.

Deservet looked to each student in turn as they answered, seeing their every movement as if by daylight coated in see-through darkness, though the students would not see his nods and would hear, deafeningly, his silence. The whispers grow louder and more urgent as his silence, excited or frenzied and wavering, yelling, screaming, though still too soft to make out the words. The whispers stop coming from the room, from the darkness, no, they now ring in each student's ears, and you can practically feel breath. Deservet watches each student with a critical eye.

Simon silently turned towards Aileen and squinted.  He didn't so much see her as he felt her presence, it was almost a tactile sensation as if the darkness was an extension of his own skin.  What kind of danger was she?

Aileen could feel herself grow deeper and deeper in tune with the world around her, the Dark whispering its convoluted, half-formed echoes of thoughts deep within her mind. It was chaotic, and mildly unsettling, yet at the same time there was a tranquil nature to it, as if the voices sought to comfort her.

It was then that she felt eyes being cast upon her, and she turned instinctively as she felt Simon's presence echo through the Dark as he seemed to be trying to feel her own presence out. Aileen replied in turn and let her own Darkness flow around her, as her own hold over it began mingling its tentacles with Simon's own surrounding domain. Through this, Aileen could sense apprehension, but replied by allowing the Dark to transmit the feeling of peace and calmness through it, showing him that the young woman was not a threat and instead welcomed his inquisitive nature.
