"Ah... good morning sir," Ash replied to the teacher, somewhat taken aback by Seamus' cavalier and familiar attitude toward the man. He had a very warm aura about him though, so she doubted it bothered him. "I hope the day finds you well."

She took her seat as well, sitting in the chair parallel to Seamus, where she tried her best to quell the anxiety she still felt.

He chuckles softly, and it sounds genuine, yet, somehow hollow. He looks to the boy who called himself Seamus and smiles. "Ah, so you are Seamus. I've been looking forward to meeting you in my class." He nods to Seamus, then turns his focus to the girl, who called herself Ashlynn. "I hope the day finds you well too, miss Ashlynn." He smiles softly and nods.

"Alright, since we all seem to know each other's names now, how about we get to today's task?" His eyes brighten a bit when he says this.

Smiling softly, enjoying the energy of the students, he selects three pieces of silvery metal, each a little different. He puts one on Seamus' desk and one on Ashlynn's desk, keeping one in his hand. "Okay, today we will start with a warm-up, and then I will see a demonstration of your ability. But first, look carefully at your selected pieces of metal, and sense your connection with it. When you have figured out what type it is, raise your hand." His voice is a bit quieter than most teachers, but loud enough for the two to hear.

Seamus felt, rotated, lifted, slightly bent it, and even sniffed the chunk of metal. "Hmm..." he hummed curiously. The gears I'm his head churned and ticked until finally, his hand shot up.

"It is chrome plated steel!" he answered enthusiastically, immediately dropping his hand. He smiled brightly in anticipation, completely certain he got it right.

Ash stared at the piece of metal on the desk in front of her for a moment. Reaching out, she touched it with the tip of her finger. It shook, ever so slightly, before she actually touched it, but it was enough for her to know that it was slightly magnetic. Picking it up, she realized that it was not very dense. Most likely an alloy.

"Is it tin?" she asked after Seamus gave his answer.

Erik smiled brightly. "You are both correct." The metals then lift from your hands and back to where he retrieved them from as he holds up the piece in his hand. "Now. How about this one?" He asks, showing no intent of bringing it closer. His eyes glimmer with a look of "stretch your ability. I know you both can do it."

Seamus squinted at the piece, concentrating hard to find the connection. The piece seemed to have little flexibility and shine to it. He felt himself beginning to over think and second guess, trying to determine if it was a pure metal or an alloy. He looked over to his classmate, wondering if she had the answer already.

Ash wasted little time reaching out with her senses, feeling the aura of the metal in the teacher's hand. As soon as she touched it, she felt it touching back, tugging on her in a way that was difficult to describe. She knew this meant it was magnetic, and this amount of tug...

"R-regular iron?" she asked, noticing the older student looking her and stammering a bit as she spoke.

Erik smiles softly. "Don't worry, Seamus, you will get better." He looks to Ashlynn as she speaks, and his eyes shine. "Correct, Ashlynn." Erik puts the iron back where he got it and looks towards the students once more. "Now, how about a demonstration from you two?" He grins. "Who shall go first?"

Seamus instantly raised his hand. If there was one thing he was good at, it was demonstrating his skills. He already figures out what he was going to do. Standing up, he was ready for the show.

Sticks stood in the doorway to the classroom, not yet announcing his arrival to the students. He wanted to see what Seamus could do so far. His eyes narrowed in on the boy, watching him with the intent of figuring him out. From what he had observed so far, Seamus was definitely enthusiastic, but Ashlynn... Sticks saw potential there. He wasn't able to sense the metal from a distance either, just like Seamus, but his classmate could, and he turned out to be a great metal elementalist, working with the police force of the Center island now. Man did Sticks hate that guy... Nonetheless, Ashlynn demonstrated great potential with her sensing ability alone, being able to feel and connect with one's element was the most important skill for all elementalists. Now, it was Seamus's turn to redeem himself, and Sticks was rooting for him, he saw himself From two years ago in him.

Seamus grinned excitedly, approachin the desk. He selected a particularly shiny chunck of brass and started breaking and bending various parts of it. After sgaping some springs, ties, gears, and coils, he meshed them all together maticulously. He was in the zone. With a hearty laugh, he presented an intricate wind-up humming bird. But he wasn't going to stop there. Turning the key, the toy began to chirp metalically. Gradually, it began to flap, soon coming to a hover, and then landing again into Seamus' palm. A slight tired sigh escaped from his mouth, indicating his finish.

Excited clapping resounded from the doorway, as Sticks made his way into the room. Awesome job! Looks like we got ourselves a grease monkey, Erik-senpai!" Sticks exclaimed, rather excited he got to address him as senpai instead of sensei now. He stepped into the room and sat down in Seamus's desk. He looked at the two students, "You guys can me me Sticks, Sticks-sama! I'll be helping Erik-senpai with the class this year." A smile was evident beneath Stick's half mask, and he was excited to see Ashlynn's demonstration next. It seemed Seamus was a gearhead (unlike Sticks himself), and he wondered if Ashlynn was too.

Erik's eyes go glassy as he watches Seamus. Tears practically fill his eyes when the display is done, a hand over his heart. "My my, the talent still lives! The will still remains!" He walks over to Seamus, taking the hand not holding the bird in both of his and shakes it enthusiastically. "That was brilliant, fantastic!" He smiles at Sticks, knowing he was there the whole time, his eyes saying "this will be a good class, I know it." He then turns to Ashlynn. "Alright miss, it is your turn." He smiles gently.

Ash quickly snapped her mouth shut an instant before all eyes suddenly swung around toward her. Seamus' ability to create parts, pieces, and an entire living machine had left her stunned. She hadn't even dreamed her ability could be used in such a way! Still, the now three -THREE?? Where did HE come from??- three sets of eyes on her filled her cheeks with a burning heat and nearly put her into a panic.

"Um... o-ok," she stuttered quietly, trying to collect her thoughts and come up with something worth showing off. Nothing came to mind anywhere near as amazing as what Seamus had shown. Settling on her only real trick, she stood up and moved to the empty space behind the desks. Quickly, before she could really stop and think herself out of it, she knelt and placed her hand on the floor. Her bracelet rippled, then flowed out in front of her into a disk, about a foot in diameter, and paper thin. As it spread, it became clear that her bracelet was not, in fact, one solid piece, but rather thousands of tiny disks that lay so close together, the edges were nearly imperceptible.

Taking a deep breath, she stood up and held her hand out over the disk, about four inches higher. Another disk began to spread, this one suspended in mid air above the first. Once it reached the size of the bottom disk, she slowly turned around and sat down on it, very very gingerly pulling her feet onto it, until she was sitting on the floating disk, now floating herself.

"I know, it's not very useful or flashy, and it's really slow," the words tumbled out of her mouth rapidly as she looked up, face heating up once again. "It's the only trick I have."

After basking in the praises of the teacher and the TA, Seamus turned his attention to his fellow student. He became curious as to what kind of ability his sister-in-steel could do.
As soon as she formed the hover disc, Seamus' jaw dropped. Sure, it was more futuristic than he liked, but still. She was levitating! On her braclet thing no less! Tucking the bird into his bag, he gave her a hardy round of applause. "That is so cool!" he exclaimed enthusiastically.

"Not very useful!? You just utilized the simplest, most rudenmentary, yet most versatile and purest technique of metal bending! Be proud, perfectly shaped disks are especially hard, and to get them so thin but so strong is quite impressive." Sticks said to the humble girl. Sticks noticed that senpai had spaced out for a moment, something he does every now and then, so he figured it was time for him to be a TA. "There are all different kinds of metal techniques, fluid manipulation and mechanical creation are just two of them. Each elementalist is unique, and we all have our own styles. For example, my style is called rigid manipulation." Sticks picked up a piece of steel, and held it up in his left hand. He pointed each of his 5 fingers on his right hand at the stone, before abruptly pulling his hand back and forming a fist, resulting in numerous spikes all over the steel. He held it out for the two of them to see, before smashing his right hand down onto the metal as hard as he could. He removed his right hand to reveal that the metal had returned to its original state. "It's silly to compare moves that utilize different techniques. That's like saying chocolate cake is better than vanilla ice cream, even though their both freaking awesome." Sticks was rambling a bit, but he was excited to be a TA this year.

"Not as cool as what you can do," Ash muttered, blushing under the sudden praise. All she had done was align the magnetic elements in the metal. But judging from what the TA was saying, it seemed that her understanding of metals differed from Seamus' as well as other metal users. She watched raptly as Sticks displayed his skill, and couldn't help but squeak in surprise when he slammed his hand down on the metal spikes.

I guess I'm just going to have to get used to being surprised, she noted, sighing as she felt her cheeks start to burn once again. Deciding to ignore whatever reactions she might have to anything, she finished returning the disks to the bracelet and sat back down at her desk.

Seamus took a different seat, seeing how his was taken. But that spike trick though! Seamus figured it must be popular at parties. "Dude, how many techniques are there?" he asked, a facinated glint in his eye. He promptly pulled out his pen and paper for notes and/or doodles.

Erik beams, watching the students interact, allowing Sticks to take a turn managing the class. "Now, I hope these demonstrations showed all of you the potential of stylizing and talent involved in the metal Element. There are no true right or wrongs in terms of the way you work with the Element. I cannot wait until Genniya visits the two of you." He beams at his students, pleased with how they work together.
