Elemental History
A building outside made of bulletproof glass is your classroom to learn about the Elemental History. Inside are cushions on the ground, in equal rows and columns. Her the Complete is your teacher, it is the first class of the day.

Pointedly ignoring the woman as she walked to the front of the lectern, Roy's attention was focused entirely on the pillows arranged around the floor. He set about gathering as many of the pillows as he could quickly grab together and piling them in to one larger bed and flopping down on top of them like a cross between a throne and a sitting couch. lounging almost gleefully in the soft fluffiness of his newly claimed territory.

"I dub thee 'Fort Roy'" He announced proudly to himself as he began to work on fashioning the pillows into something more comfortable, jealously guarding his pillows and cushions.

Re: Elemental History
-->From: School Grounds-->

Upon entering the classroom, Jun took a few steps past the threshhold without actually taking in the layout of the room.  When he finally did so, he stopped in his tracks, an expression of surprise overtaking his normally disinterested face.  "Haaah~?"  This wasn't his first time going to school, so he'd been expecting a typical learning environment with desks and notes and whatnot.  Seeing now that he was quite mistaken, Jun couldn't help but be a little off-balance.  Coushins?  A glass room?  Just what kind of History class was this supposed to be?

As he stood dumbfounded, he noticed one of the other students suddenly grabbing pillows left and right, putting them in a giant pile for him to lounge on, and suddenly Jun realized why this sort of setup was probably not the smartest.  Already getting irritated with how this first day was going, Jun moved to the back of the room and plopped down on a cushion, leaning his back against the glass wall behind him.

Tamachi entered the building and was reasonably confused. He saw a student gathering up all the pillows and that the room was full of not glass. He knew what glass felt like, this wasn't it. He could feel his element running throughout the glass. He walked over to touch the glass and as he did so it started to bend softly to him. He quickly decided this was a poor idea and went to sit near the boy in the fort. He grabbed 2 additional pillows on his way and stacked them up high.

"Watchtower Tamachi reports an all clear to fort roy. He said, softly laughing as he did so, as he sat upon his "Watchtower".

Simon walked in and stood near the door looking the place over.  The light in the room seemed to flicker for a moment.  He looked down to find an extra large pillow, dark purple in color, and covered in a soft faux fur.  He picked it up by the corner and dragged it to the back of the room.  He placed it up against the glass wall a few feet from the white-haired boy, Jun.  He sat and set a small bundle of charcoal pencils on the floor next to him.  He looked at the white-haired boy, then to the front of the room.  He did this three times before finally losing himself in the shifting shadows created by Roy's makeshift throne.  He snapped out of it only long enough to readjust the over-sized blouse he wore that was slipping off one of his shoulders.

Seamus rushed into the huge, open-looking room. He slowed gradually, looking up at the ceiling. "Whoa, it looks even cooler on the inside!" he stated in facination. Looking over to Aileen to see what she thought, he slowly realized that he still held her hand. "Oops," he said, releasing it, a slight embarrassed chuckle in his voice, "Sorry about that. You alright?"

Ash's first realization upon entering the glass room was that she was the youngest person present... and also the smallest. Most of the other kids were acting rather rambunctious, collecting pillows and poking the glass and making all sorts of noise. Preferring her peace, she grabbed a small, round pillow and placed it near the wall, sitting down and simply observing her classmates.

"I wonder if any of them already have formal training," she mused, reaching into the pouch at her back and pulling out three metal balls the size of limes. As she watched her soon-to-be peers she absently rolled the balls around on her right hand, without using her fingers, letting the metal soften and bend and then regain firmness. She alternated between letting them play on her palm and the back of her hand, practicing her fine control of the metal in her hand. Already she could barely contain her eagerness to learn more.

Re: Elemental History
As the students filed in after her, Cassandra set her satchel down on the floor against the wall, on a short wooden platform. It seemed this mini stage was the replacement of a desk for the teacher as the pillows were a replacement for desks for the students. Cassandra turned in time to see a boy gather several pillows in to a pile and make a 'fort' while another student made a 'watchtower'. She laughed watching the boys, before noticing Jun's confused expression. She smiled apologetically towards him, realizing that the other boys' behaviors probably were irritating him and he most likely blamed the set up of the room. "Alright boys, let's stop wrecking the room and set the extra cushions back in their nice neat rows." Her word choice may have been a set that you would use for talking to small children, but her tone of voice was appropriate for high school students. Hm, interesting group so far. We have a Plastic bender, from the looks of it, given that boy gently bent our fine walls. She smiles softly thinking about how Tamachi had displayed his power without showing it off. She tried not to watch the young Darkness Primary she had seen earlier, though her eyes kept flitting over his direction.

When Seamus entered the room dragging a girl behind him by the hand, Cassandra laughed. "Ah, I always looked forward to the day you would get to take my class." She smiled fondly, playfulness in her voice and sincerity in her words. After she spoke to Seamus, she noticed a young, smaller girl enter the space, and she also chose to sit alone. Cassandra watched her long enough to see the display of her power. We are getting quite the Metal Primary turn out this year. She thought with an interested expression on her face.

-> From School Grounds

Aileen finally came to a stop within the large room that was designated for Elemental History, as Seamus was also interested in the room and chose to come to a halt. Slightly out of breath, the girl cast him an half-amused, half-annoyed look, before grasping her wrist with her other hand. "Please do speak your intentions before you act next time, alright?", she said, a subtle smile threatening to appear.

Glancing around and noticing the pillow forts, a chuckle escaped Aileen's lips. "It would seem that for our friends, the most intriguing part of this room is the collection of pillows..." As she spoke, Lilith landed on the girl's left shoulder, before letting out a caw. "Now... where should we sit?", Aileen posed her question, aimed both to Seamus and Lilith.

Reika skipped into the classroom.  She could tell it was once neatly organized, but that chaos took to the cushions.  The Complete stood at the front and slowly brought the room back to balance.  A girl she hadn't noticed before looked closer to her age and was forming a few metal balls.  Reika decided that she would introduce herself later.  All of the "new" made her slightly overwhelmed, but somehow in a positive way.

She took a seat at a cushion at the front of the room toward the right, crossed her legs, and tried to center herself before class began.

Then Seamus glanced about, noticing the structures. "Hm," he began, directing it to Aileen, "Let's sit by the huge fort, shall we?" He motioned to the offered location.

From: School Grounds

Upon arrival Kazuya silently scanned the room through the glass as he moved towards the entrance into the room, taking note of the other students and their actions. 'So we are sitting on pillows huh..' he thought, slightly surprised by the unique setup. Though, unlike for a few other students, who have claimed several pillows as their own, it was nothing he was not used to, since he came from a quite traditional family. However, he didn't really mind their behavior, as they seemed to be type of people, who would make the time here quite interesting.

Aside from the pillow pillagers, he took note of the two girls, who seemed a few years younger than the rest of them. He would have expected them to sit closer to each other, but since he didn't know either of them that was simply a judgement based on looks. Then there were the two students, who had yet to decide a seating position. That was nothing special of course, but.. ' That girl and her raven... She seems familiar.. Have we met before? ' the blonde silently thought, but decided to let it go, since this was neither the time nor the place for it. He could simply ask her later.

With both his mind and body moving to class, his eyes turned to look at his new teacher, whose unique appearance easily gave away who she truly was. Now, seeing her from up close he spotted the little flames in her eyes, something he could not remember ever seeing before. With this kind of set up class was bound to get interesting. Even if he was wrong, there were enough pillows to take a nap in comfort.

As he entered the room, he glanced at Amelia behind him, wondering where she wanted to sit. They could move into the back of them room, joining the more peaceful section where a familiar white haired boy was also sitting or they could sit directly at the front, that being the closest position to the Complete. " Where do you want to sit?" Kazuya asked, deciding to voice his thoughts as he gestured at the cushions to make sure she understood what he meant. Personally, he preferred the front to avoid falling asleep too easily, but he would let Amelia make the decision.

Amelia once again seemed to keep her eyes solely on Kazuya, holding her gown as she had earlier. She doesn't seem to notice anything about the people or the room, and almost jumps startled when Kazuya speaks. Seeing his gesture, she looked towards the front and back of the room. At the front stood the Complete, and she seemed momentarily comforted, before realizing she would be in everyone's view, and she drew her breath in sharply and looked quickly to the back of the room. There she saw Jun, but then, she feared she would embarrass him. She looked from the front of the room to the back several times before a small nervous sound escapes her as she starts to back away towards the door.

"Very well. As long as don't get a pillow to the face I'm quite alright with that.", the young woman spoke with a smile.

Aileen took one of the pillows that were close to the fort, yet not within it, and then placed it on the ground, before sitting on top of it. Lilith then hopped from her shoulder onto her lap, as the latter was much more comfortable.

As Aileen began petting the crow, she noticed the Complete and smiled, as she thought that she was truly beautiful. She wondered what it would be like to be a Complete, but she did not wish to experience such a thing. Her calling was towards Light and Dark alone.

Re: Elemental History
Ash openly observed every person in the room, pausing her scanning whenever a new body appeared in the doorway to examine the newcomer thoroughly. As she watched the others, she saw similar gazes coming back her way. Everybody was observing everybody else, taking stock of each other and trying to gauge where they fit. Whenever her eyes met theirs she bowed her head slightly, acknowledging them but not moving to open dialogue.

However, when her eyes caught those of the Complete weighing her, she felt a shiver run up her spine and had to consciously keep from swallowing. She couldn't help but wonder what the woman's eyes saw... such a connection to the world around was nearly inconceivable. Still, she kept her cool enough to give a slightly deeper nod to the teacher.

Yet even with the presence of the Complete, it was the girl with the raven that held her attention the longest. For a short time, she tried to determine if the bird were a natural animal, or a manifestation of her ability. After a few moments, she decided it was a natural raven and her curiosity toward it faded, shifting focus to the other girl her age. When she saw the other girl observing her, she gave a small smile and a wave.

As more and more older students made their way in, she unconsciously turned the three balls into a single length that coiled around her forearm like a snake, until it solidified into an armlet. It was her favorite way to keep the metal close to hand without needing it in her hand, and the weight of it was comforting to her when she felt stressed.

Re: Elemental History
"Awwwwww, fiiiiine" Roy grumbled as the complete chastised him. He knew it wasnt undeserved though, so he began to stand up and move pillows out from his masterpiece without further complaint. Smiling apologetically to Tamachi who he had gotten in trouble by association. When Seamus and Aileen moved near him however, an idea struck Roy. Deviously smiling, he began to take some of the pillows hand handed them over to Seamus for the two of them, and when they sat, added more to bridge the gap between his seat, Tamachi's, theirs and anyone who came near.

"I re-dub they Unda City" He whispered quietly as he lovingly tapped the three pillows he had not given away and kept for himself.

Roy looked around at the gathering students. Many he had seen at the fountain earlier, but several more came in as well. A tall, refined one who almost seemed to be trying to hide the fact they were well groomed accompanied by a girl who obviously had no concept of social situations and was desperately trying to fake it. And failing, based on her nervous glances. Roy felt bad and started to stand up to help before stopping himself.

More people coming up to her is probably the last thing she needs. He sat back down, reasoning that he'd introduce himself later when she had calmed. Roy turned his attention to the others, a young girl who was spinning metal orbs around like he liked to with the water and, wait.. did that turn in to a wrist band!? Neat! This class was going to be fair interesting if it keeps going this way!

Kazuya silently watched Amelia turn her head from site to site as she seemingly made her decision. However, when he heard a unique sound escape her lips, which was followed by a sign of retreat, he decided to take action after all. By waving his hand in front of her eyes, he tried to get her attention back on himself. "Calm down and take a deep breath. They aren't going to bite you." he said, waiting for her to do as he instructed, before he would continue. " Let's sit down over there."

If listened to, he would lead her towards a pillow located at the front center. Aside from him preferring to sit closer to the front, it seemed to be the best spot for Amelia to be taught. It was seemingly the closest spot to the Complete, giving her a easier time to keep an eye on the white haired girl, who would probably feel a little more comfortable in her presence. Besides, it would be the fastest way to make Amelia get used to being around other people.

Kazuya himself would decide to take the seat positioned behind her. He wasn't exactly a wall, but being easily one head taller than the thin girl would hopefully take a portion of the fear of being watched away. With the lack of desks he would also be close enough to watch out for her. Though, whether they actually did sit down there or not, still depended on Amelia's reaction.

Re: Elemental History
Amelia flinched and gasped in a scared way when Kazuya waved his hand in front of her face. She took another step away from him before hearing his words and turning her eyes to just his face. She listened to his words and took a deep breath. She holds her gown tightly in both hands, but she stops backing away. She listens to what he has to say next, and tilts her head as she looks to where he is suggesting where they should sit.

Hesitantly, she follows Kazuya to the front of the room, shivering nervously as she does so. He seemed to wait for her to sit first, so she sat slowly on the center pillow in the first row. Sensing Kazuya sit behind her, she stopped shivering and looked up towards the Complete. She then closed her eyes, and her expression turns to one of someone who is trying to picture a happy place.

Re: Elemental History
Though he'd caught The Complete's apologetic smile when he'd first entered, Jun had already resigned himself to fording his way through the class, so he responded with a simple shrug as he moved to take his seat.  He was well on his way to trying to shut out the antics of the other students when he noticed someone taking a seat near him, and he took a glance out of sheer habit.  When his eyes found their way to Simon, they widened slightly in surprised recognition; he'd thought that identifying the Dark Primary would have been harder, but he fit The Complete's description to a 'T'.  As if the dark hair and gloomy expression weren't enough, the woman's blouse he was wearing was a dead give away.

He was tempted to say something right away, but figured that it might be a bit too forward to speak to him right at the beginning of class.  Besides, he'd sat at the back for the express purpose of avoiding any unnecessary conversations.  Turning back towards the front of the class as nonchalantly as he could, Jun's gaze found the door just in time for Amelia to follow Kazuya inside.  He watched her idly, at first, but a frown grew on his face when he saw her balk and begin backing towards the door.  It hadn't occured to him that she would have problems with crowds, but in retrospect it probably should have.  She was already so soft-spoken, all this racket was probably overwhelming.  He was halfway to his feet when Kazuya noticed and coaxed her back inside, getting her to take a seat near the front of the class.

Since she was seated, Jun saw no point in getting up anymore, so he fell back down onto his cushion.  The frown didn't abate, however.  In fact, it seemed even more broody, and his gaze ended up fixed on Kazuya's back since the tall boy blocked his line of sight with Amelia.  Jun swallowed hard, unsure of just why he was irritated.  He closed his eyes let out a harsh breath that seemed to recoil and breeze through his hair, sending his locks into a frenzy as he tried to cool himself off.  I'll have to get a handle on Blondey at some point.  The thought caught him off guard, completely unbidden as it was.  He flopped back against the glass, rolling his head back to look at the ceiling.  Haah?  What am I thinking, its none of my business who she hangs out with.  Though I wonder where she even met him.  She probably met him in woods.  Alone...He's pretty tall too.  And handsome.  He sat back up straight, his eyes boring into the back of Kazuya's skull like lasers.  Suspicious!  Way too suspicious!  It seemed even Jun's attempts to remain detached were no match for his overactive imagination.

The Complete smiled at Seamus when he waved at her, enjoying his positive attitude. When the Metal Primary girl bowed her head to her, she smiled reassuringly to her, sensing her chill. She watched Roy "put things back to order", seeing how he kept some to himself still. She shook her head, smiling, and left it be. What harm was he causing?

She looked towards the door when she noticed Kazuya enter the room with Amelia following him. She watched Amelia's reaction to the new environment, frowning sympathetically. She listens to how Kazuya interacts with her and watches her reactions. She looks as though she is about to go to Amelia as she starts to panic, but relaxes and stays where she is when she sees that Kazuya calms her down, and smiles gently at Amelia when she sits down. She looks to Kazuya and mouths "thank you" to him, a grateful expression on her face.

When she looked up next, she saw Jun staring at the back of Kazuya's head with a burning suspicious glare in his eyes. She left him be for now, but wondered what he thought was happening between Kazuya and Amelia, and why it meant so much to the usually disinterested boy.

Finally, feeling that class had been going on long enough without direction, she spoke to the whole class. "Good morning, everyone!" She said cheerily. She gave Seamus a gentle warning glance, but still smiled at his excitement. "Now, if everyone is ready." She replied.

Re: Elemental History
Kazuya let his bag slip from his shoulder as he watched Amelia for a bit, feeling glad when he noticed her stop shivering. The first step was always the hardest, but she would eventually get used to it as she visits class more often. His gaze raised upwards, meeting with the eyes of the Complete. Thanks to his perceptive eyes taking note of every facial movement, combined with his awesome lip reading skills, he could easily tell what she wanted to say without voicing it out loud. He was practically reading her mind! Okay, he was nowhere near that impressive, but he could still pretty much guess the gist of the message she was conveying at which he responded with a simple nod.

He then sat back into a slightly more comfortable position, which for some reason didn't help at all. Something felt off... It felt like someone was watching him, or rather trying to stare hard enough to look into his soul or maybe even make it leave his body. One of the two.  He couldn't really think of any reason why anyone would do that though. After all, he had not drawn any more attention than anybody else, nothing was on fire and there was definitely no squirrel sitting on top of his head this time. He was pretty sure a certain raven would have let him know, if that would have been the case.

So, with no real reason coming to his mind, he decided to disregard it as his imagination, which most likely resulted from his current position. He wouldn't be too surprised, if the constant training in the dojo and the ambushes from his sister has sharpened his senses to the point of paranoia. Though, with the class seemingly beginning, Kazuya decided to focus his attention on the more important things like he had instructed Amelia before and ignored what was happening behind him for now, paying close attention to the Complete instead.

Aileen chuckled as she saw Roy hand the pillows around, still keeping a few for himself. "You're quite fond of these pillows, aren't you? Well then, lord of Unda City, might I humbly request that I gain passage to your city?" With that, she pointed towards one of the pillows between hers and Roy's, making it clear that she simply wanted another pillow. Since they were allowed to sit on pillows instead of chairs and the sort, she figured it would not bother anyone if she sat on her belly during the class.

Making sure not to harm Lilith or bother anyone with her feet, Aileen proceeded to lay on her stomach, with her feet close to one another in order to avoid having anyone tempted to look up her dress. She then placed her pillows under her head for support, before opening her bag and procuring a notebook with a pen. Once she was done, she simply nodded towards the Complete, in order to show that she was ready. As she did so, Lilith jumped on her back and stood there patiently and quietly, as the bird had figured out by the dwindling conversations that this was not the time for it to caw.

Roy passed Aileen a couple of the pillows he had moved around for her to sprawl on. "Comfy is as comfy does! Permission granted!" He chimed, anyone who appreciated the amount of effort he put in to not having to exert any effort was a friend in his eyes, and with the way she took care to spread over multiple pillows and relax, Roy was more than happy to accommodate.

Roy took note of her notebook and pens and looked over to see Seamus preparing in much the same way, albeit his pens were floating. Roy did his best to not look ashamed of showing up unprepared. Forgeting lunch was bad enough, but now he was out all of the supplies too. In a moment it passed with a shrug, "Its the first day, there cant be too much thats vital to memorize. I'll be fine" he thought. With that, he settled back down on to the pillows, relaxed grin reappearing on his face.

"What are the responsibilities of a trained Elementalist?" Ashlynn asked quietly after the first girl was answered.

While this had always been a wonderful gift for her, and learning more about it was a dream come true, she knew precious little as to the life an Elementalist after training. Her house had none in residence, and her city, although prosperous, was on the middle - outer borderline. Thus the reason she had been shuffled here at the tender age of thirteen. Still, she wanted to know what this was going to cost her in the end.

"Well, to properly educate your children if you have any, to be a productive member of the society you live in, to use your powers constructively... Basically all the same as a Nonelemental, except you have powers. Some of you will be able to apply for a job at the school, another of you may become the next Complete. But my question to you is, what do you think is your responsibility, now, and later?" In the way she says her last sentence, it is clearly rhetorical, but not to ignore her question, but to make her think.

"What should we do in order to learn another Element?", she asked her most burning question.

Re: Elemental History
The Complete was about to answer Aileen when a Lightning Primary she recognized burst into the room, tripped, and found a seat, blushing red as a sun shining through the smoke of a burning field. She smiled gently. "Good morning, Raijin." She spoke with a gentle, welcoming tone. She then noticed two more of the Center Village students enter, another Lighting Primary and a Darkness Primary, and laughed internally at the thought of how perfect it was for dark to follow light. She nodded to the new arrivals.

"Well, Aileen, you have to master your first Element. And then, the god or goddess of another Element will come to you, as a voice. Darkness users get the voice of Darkness and the Darkness god, so they have to be much more careful. It is not easy to resist the voice of Darkness, even for myself. It did damage me some to learn Darkness, even with my Primary being one that offers light. I advise you all to be very, very careful." Her tone had become increasingly more somber and serious as her statements rolled by, along with her expression. Then, realizing she ran off course, she relaxed some and continued on with what she was saying. "The first step is always to master what you have, then, wait until you feel the other come. Even Secondaries are only partial-choice."

Re: Elemental History
Aileen started writing the important ideas the Complete spoke of. She had heard the Dark Voice a few times, a voice that was highly disagreeable, if one were to ask her, but for now she could tune it out with enough effort, as the other members of the Black family had taught her and spoke of this "God" of Darkness. Aileen had her doubts regarding the validity of the whole God claim, but given the daily struggle she had to go through every day in order to stay sane and well, it would have been nice to have a much more gentle voice to ail her mind, and the blood of her mother within her called towards the Light for that ailment.

"Ah, I see. Thank you for you answer, my lady. However, might I further inquire as to how we will know if we have mastered our Primary?" A rather bold question, which would have suggested that she thought of herself as being close to that ideal step, but Aileen was not asking without some measure of truth to back her up. Her skills with the Dark were well established and she knew her limits rather well, as well as what to do if she passed them. And while her skill in creating Eternal Flowers was pathetic at best, it required an absurd amount of concentration and attunement to the Element of Dark in order to pull off such a feat as to create one. Her father had mentioned to her that he could do far less than she can do now when he was her age. Perhaps it meant that she was closer to hearing the voice of her Secondary? She could not say for sure, but it was better that she ask her question, so that she may better know her standing.

Re: Elemental History
From: Everett's house

What with the classroom being a glass box, Everett had abandoned all hope of sneaking in unnoticed upon his approach to the building. So he instead slowed his run to a halt outside the door, and as delicately as he could, slipped into the class.

In between his gulps of air, Everett took a moment to think to himself. That... was a lot... further than... than I thought... Gotta remember that next time i'm late... Which I won't be... Hopefully... Despite being in good shape, that helter-skelter sprint through the forest had taken a fair bit out of him, so it was a moment before Everett fully collected his wits and took in his surroundings.

It was hard to know how much of the lesson he'd missed, but to avoid disturbing the class, Everett resolved to ask one of the other students for notes later. Now he'd just have to grab a seat, or a cushion as the case happened to be.

Not wanting to be right in their colourful teachers face, yet not wanting to be removed from the majority of his classmates (despite a small row of guys up against the back wall), Everett took to gently collapsing on a cushion near the middle of their greenhouse-like classroom. Leaning back, stretching his legs out in front of him and propping himself up with his elbows, Everett proceeded to try and focus his attention.

Seamus kept notes of what he could piece together on a page to his right, though he was mostly focused on the page to his left. This page contained scribbles of what could be mindless doodling, or potential projects. He grinned in anticipation for the legend about the first metal user. Though, the stuff about darkness was kind of cool too, if a bit creepy.

Either this school was more laid back then his old one or maybe the first timers got a pass, all Katsu knew was people coming in like he and the two others had would likely end up with a warning or detention. Or maybe that would come after the lesson so there was less disruption. The thought sent a slight chill up his spine, who wanted to get written up their first day? Maybe if he looked like he was paying attention she'd go easy on him. Sitting a little straighter against the wall he tried to pay more attention, though how he knew when he mastered his element was of interest to him.

Simon stared and listened intently as the Complete mentioned the Darkness.  So others had heard the shadows speak to them too?  He wondered if it spoke to them as often as it spoke to him.  He felt her warning was a bit unfounded.  The Darkness had done nothing but help and guide him, to offer support and comfort in the most trying of times.  It whispered it's secrets and granted him power.  It promised him more power than he could hope for.  Which was precisely what he desired.

Ashlynn watched as several new students filed in, tardy... on the first day. She did her best, but she was sure her face still gave sign of her disdain. Well, maybe she didn't try that hard. Still, she didn't let it distract her too much. As the other students and the Complete spoke, she wrote with her finger on the metal at her wrist, and as she drew letters scrolled around the metal, forming shapes and patterns as well as words on the steel. She noted which students were asking which questions, the questions, and the Complete's response.

She smiled as she saw the other metalmancer making multiple notations with his plethora of floating writing instruments. His ability was impressive as well, and the fact that he could separate thoughts and maintain focus as well... she made a note of him, turning it into a little monkey sitting on a tree. He was one to watch, and maybe befriend, in the coming term.

Re: Elemental History
Even though the rhetorical question the Complete had given Ashlynn had not been directed to him, Kazuya sunk into his thoughts. He had never given his future a lot of thought, relaxing as he remained in the shadow of his older brother. ' So... what do I want in life?' he asked himself, looking at nowhere particular as he thought about in silence.

It only took him a moment to realize that he knew so little about the world he lived in. Maybe he should go and explore it? Who knows, maybe he might even find an Elemental Animal! Maybe even a dragon! But such a journey wouldn't be easy, no, it would probably be quite dangerous and not because of wildlife, even he knew that much.

Kazuya's eyes shifted to Aileen, paying attention as he listened to her question. ' That's right.. We have the ability to learn more than just our primary element...' He had never really considered it, since his family was pretty much focused on their primary. Though, it may have been an interesting experience...

However, upon hearing the answer, he couldn't quite make much sense out of it. The question that Aileen had asked was reasonable. He himself had been taught that there was always room for improvement, which was why he was still being taught and trained to this day. Besides, he knew of the Council and was aware of the power the respective members possessed, despite only ever having practiced their primary. Having to acquire that level of mastery, before they could learn a secondary element was hard to believe.

Though, whether that was true or not was still something the gods decided and nothing he could have known. ”We will hear the voice of a god or goddess, once we have been deemed worthy. So in other words, if we hear the voice, it means that we have mastered our element. That's pretty much how we will know. " Kazuya told Aileen, even though her question has not been directed to him.

Roy listened to Aileen, and then the complete happily enough. This made sense to him. Gotta learn to paddle before you can swim after all. It wasn't until Kazuya spoke up that his expression soured. He sat in silent thought a bit longer, letting the idea form before glancing at Kazuya again and then looking up to the complete.

"That doesnt make sense. How can you master an element? You cant temper a storm, tame a raging fire! Not really, nature's wild and unrpedictable. How can you truly master that? There must always be more to learn! Even metals and plastics, man made but still being improved constantly with new technology!" He cried out, not really noticing the outburst and scene he must have caused. When he did, he quieted and sat back down amoungst the pillows. "Doesnt make sense..." he muttered under his breath

Re: Elemental History
She sighs as the class seemingly begins to go into chaos. She briefly looks behind her and to her left at what appears to be a statue of rock and plant in the slightly dimmer corner behind her, nodding just barely, a simple twitch it would seem.

"Roy, please calm down. You are absolutely right." She looks to Kazuya. "You see, you could hear them tonight, if you believe. Sometimes it is more about how determined you are to be good enough, and if you are educated. They only come to those of Center Village because they know the students will not be punished or harmed for hearing them." She looks to Aileen. "You don't. But you know you are good enough when you respond well in the Mastery Test. You must be eighteen to take it, and your teacher must allow you to, and your parents, even if you are eighteen. Sometimes the Elder Council may allow you to without either permission statements, but it is rare. And usually, it is bad for everyone."

She looks tired and serious through the entirety of her speech, before stretching and trying to smile.

"Who wants to hear the legend of the Gods and Goddesses of the Elements?"

Amelia had zoned out due to a flashback, but returns to reality with a small, quiet, strangled-sounding gasp, and is instantly frightened by another student's outbursts. She makes a small squeak and begins shaking visibly, cowering for a minute, before looking behind her to see if Kazuya was still there.

When she finally heard the Complete speak, she shook a little less violently and devoted her attention to the Complete. She tilts her head at the question of wanting to listen to a legend, her eyes going distant, but the present shadow in them takes on an interested look.

The large rock statue that looks like a vague mountainyfom of a very large man's shoulder begins to sprout water. It begins flowing freely down into the air and then immediatly evaporating. Also behind what would be his head a large puddle forms. The statue would look weird enough if it wasnt for the fact that his head arms and legs were not attached to his body they seemed to just float there.

As the Complete looked back, Reika followed her gaze to the statue.  She smiled, and it was difficult to maintain focus on the Complete, even though this was what she'd been waiting for.  But, suddenly, water flows from it like a fountain.

Reika wondered if another student did that, and wills the fuzzy-looking green plant to twist, her hands fidgeting in her lap.  She sways slightly until a small white flower pushes its way into view.

Satisfaction and serenity fills Reika's chest, and she returns her attention, slightly lightheaded, to the Complete and waits for the legend.

Katsu wondered what the Complete meant by "educated". If it was book smarts he was probably screwed, sports he was good to go then and there. Then the bombshell, eighteen, his head slumped forward with the realization it'd be five years before the option even became available to him. Looking up at the mention of the legend his attention switches between the Complete and the statue turned fountain.

As Reika uses her power to make a flower form on the large statue anyone looking would actually see the rocks that make up its face shift into a smile. Smiles lines creased its eyes as they started to glow a soft green color. "Thank you. That was a nice gift." he had a very deep voice. As though the Earth itself were speaking. Deep and rumbling like an avalanche of rocks but soft and rolling like the wind through a field of grass at the same time.

Tamachi was surprised at the golem. No surprised wasn't really quite the word. More like mildly repulsed. It was the opposite of what he enjoyed. Earth, nature, rock, and life. These things didn't really click with him. He licked plastics. They were always the same. Unchanging in nature even with time. A plastic is a plastic in years. A rock may be a pebble, dirt, sand, mud, gravel, or who knows. It's volatile and dangerous. Not something he enjoyed. As such his cube moved to place its self between himself and the golem.

Re: Elemental History
Gods, Goddesses, grinning golems and french toast... There was only so much Everett could handle... He'd expected strange stuff from this place. The colourfully decorated Complete for instance, he could deal with and still keep his cool. Then when Gods, Goddesses and voices in your head came up, it took a little more self control to keep his skeptical befuddlement under wraps.

But then the rocks came alive, and made a smile... A creepy, rocky smile, right in the middle of it's inanimate, bouldery face...

Everett's mouth fell agape, while the rest of his face shifted to an expression embodying (among other things) confusion, creeped out repulsion, exasperation and above all a sense of 'What have I let myself in for with this school...'

So Everett sat there, glancing between the creepy rock golems dodgy soil smile, the Complete, the other students and of all things, the sky... At least he could see the sun from within this glass nuthouse. That was somehow comforting.

He turned back to the students. "Hello. My name is Geb. Im not a golem, I have been alive this whole time, and I did not mean to startle you. I am just unused to an act of kindness that the young girl there displayed towards me." He also saw the looks of revulsion. "I also apologize that my form is vile to some of your eyes. Re: Elemental History
The Complete takes on a drained, sad look herself, before opening her eyes. So many of them are not from this Village... She looked to Geb. "You insisted on coming to the first day of school, and I'm not going to ignore you the whole time, I was just checking on you... I thought some of the Center Village children would be somewhat respectful at least, and maybe help the other students..." She lets her voice trail. She knows she made a mistake. "I'm sorry Geb." A small clump of her hair turns black, root to tip, as her sad expression stays on her face.

She then turns to face the class. "This can happen with the abuse of your Elemental ability. Geb is right, he did not choose this form. He also did not abuse his power. Others around him did, and by mistake, took the mortal body of a young boy. That young boy, waking later, found that he could not move. His abilities remained in tact, and gave him a form. For seven years this boy looked for a place to belong, but facing constant rejection, fell into hiding. I found that boy, and here he stands before you. Treat him as your equal." Her voice is serious as she tells the story of Geb, and as Geb will notice, she tries to ease the pain of telling his story a little bit by not mentioning who killed him, or saying that he died specifically. "He wants and needs a place to belong. So you and I will make that place for him." She looks each and every student in the eyes that she can, her voice and face serious.

"Now, everyone settle in for the legend. Even Geb has not gotten to hear it yet." Her voice lightens a little at this statement, her expression softening some. She looks to Geb, gesturing out to the pillows.

Simon's lack of reaction was most unsettling.  He simply watched Geb with a raised brow.  He didn't move or say anything, simply watched.

Some of the other students' reactions he felt were distasteful.  They feared that which they didn't understand, a sentiment he personally had been on the receiving end of many times.  He took mental note of all those that showed signs of panic.

I came here to learn about the Darkness.  How to tap into its power.  How to manipulate it.  I did not come to make friends or Ooo and ahh at every stone that moves. "Please tell us the legend of these gods and goddesses," said Simon quietly his voice barely heard from the back.

Re: Elemental History
Aileen nodded towards Kazuya, as she found his reply to be reasonable. At Roy's words, however, Aileen was inclined to disagree. "I would not believe so. Indeed, as you have said, nature is, at its core, unpredictable, but that unpredictability is laced with patterns. While one may never be able to understand them all, one may study the ones that they are drawn to. After all, if you know how the Shadows would normally react, you will begin to understand them. If you see a leaf soaring through the winds, you will start to understand how it flows through the currents. And that knowledge gives you the power to control, at least to a certain degree, something as complex as an aspect of nature itself." Her words were calm and her smile polite, as she was learned to speak when addressing a fellow member of a debate. However, her words were silenced when the Complete herself offered an explanation.

A small frown escaped Aileen's lips as she heard of the Mastery Test. She yearned for the sweet embrace of Light, yet it seemed that it would not be granted to her for another two years. Calm yourself, Aileen., she spoke to herself. There is no need to plunge yourself in despair. You have survived for so long without it, what difference will another two years make? Letting out a sigh she thought was barely noticeable by others, the girl simply nodded towards the Complete in order to allow her to see both that she understood and that she was ready to learn more about the Gods.

Lilith's caw broke her concentration, however, as the raven had noticed a statue let out water, as if it were a fountain. She paid no heed of this, for she wanted to understand the Complete's words, until a booming voice could be heard from the statue. Turning around as Lilith flew from her back to two feet in front of her, Aileen noticed that the voice came from none other than the fountain itself, which moved. "You're alive, aren't you?...", she spoke quietly, in awe at the being. This was a form of life unlike anything she had ever seen. As he spoke more and more about his origin, Aileen found herself wondering what it would be like to be one with her Element (or, hopefully, Elements), and found that she likely would have enjoyed the prospect. Even if the Voice of Dark was highly irritating, there was a tranquility and solace in the Dark that she sometimes truly yearned. After all, the only reason why Darkness appears as if it corrupts and decays is because the world itself goes against the things that Darkness stands for... The world is full of motion, of action, of intensity, as opposed to the Darkness' desire for inaction, for meditation and calm self-awareness.

"You... you're amazing. To have become so close with your Element that your very being is shaped by it... It is an honor I'd like to have one day, if I will ever be ready for it.", she spoke with a genuine smile and sweet tone, in order to show that her words were genuine and her intentions were pure. Aileen nodded at Seamus' words in order to show Geb that she would also be happy to have Geb close as company. "I know not if you require a pillow, but if you ever need one, I have one to spare."

OOC: Reaction after the Complete's explanation

Roy's nervous stance relaxed as Geb spoke, adopting confusion. "You're a person? So.. this isnt someone using their powers?!" Roy looked around at all the students and up to the Complete for any signs of a joke being played on him. When he was satisfied that everyone seemed as surprised as him, barring the Complete who looked altogether too pleased with herself, he turned back to Geb.

Carefully looking him up and down. Closing his eyes and letting a long breath out, Roy's shoulders dropped and his stance eased. Opening his eyes with an easy smile. "Well, okay then. Roy, nice to meet you." He held out his hand to shake before eyeing the mass of stone that made up the former statue's hand. Quickly closing his hand in to a fist, he opted for the much less likely to crush his hand 'Fist Bump' method of greeting.

Re: Elemental History
Gods... what is with this class? Can they not calm their minds long enough for the lesson to actually progress? Ashlynn thought, scowling at the older students openly now. All this talk of mastery, multiple elements, voices in the air, and students trying to instruct other students... It was frustrating, but she supposed that with this many people gathered in one place, chaos must ensue. She simply continued to scowl and annotate what she saw-

Until the rocky structure a short distance to her left began trickling water, the evaporating mist cooling the air near her. She was sure the thing was just a statue for the Complete to demonstrate abilities on, and so she figured that the trickle of water... was that a flower? Was she trying to use her abilities to impose a more calming air in the classroom, and subtly make the students less-
Did it just move? Was that strange crooked line there before? What was the Complete-

The sound of Geb's voice, and the sudden motion caused by speaking, elicited a loud shriek from the small girl and sent her tumbling through the next two nearest students. She landed on her feet, her steel suddenly a pole aimed at the stony entity. It wasn't until she collected herself for a moment that she actually registered what was being said around her, and realized that she had just made a complete fool of herself...

Now angry at herself (and by extension everything around her) Ash returned to her pillow and plopped down, steadfastly staring past everyone and watching a bird flying outside the glass box they were in. This was certainly NOT how she had imagined the first day here going... Already she just wanted to escape, find a high place to perch, and watch the day pass her by.

In reply to Geb (msg # 51):

Reika bit her lip and blushed.  She didn't realize he could speak, but his low voice teetered between omnipresent and hushed.  There was something generally familiar about him, or maybe it was just the powerful connection to the earth itself.  Either way, she knew she'd never met anyone like this.

"It was my pleasure," she said with a nod of her head.  The explanation for his current state saddened her, eyes going from Geb's face to the floor next to him.  She still wasn't completely sure what the extent of his abilities were, but Reika resolved that she would introduce herself properly after the legend.

Re: Elemental History
Katsu had seen a couple fancy fountains before when he'd gotten the chance to go with his dad to the outer islands for supplies for the shop. None of them had talked. At first he figured the Complete was doing it, maybe some sort of voice throwing. Tensing slightly he kept glancing between the two, looking for any signs her lips were moving when it was talking.

Glancing over as one of the girls freaked he relaxed, glad to see his reaction wasn't one of the more outlandish ones. At least he didn't throw a pillow.

When the Complete was telling them about making a place for Geb he nods. He briefly wondered what would happen to him if he were in Geb's place, what form could electricity take? Maybe the Complete would know, but was that something one just asked about? Tuning back to the present he focused forward, waiting for the legend.

Re: Elemental History
At that one girls yell, Everett sat up as if he'd been shocked, only to slump down and cradle his face in his hands, gently massaging his forehead at the same time. This is gonna give me a headache... Becoming an element? Heck, even calling It 'My element' feels wrong, as for mastering It...? Allowing himself a quiet sigh, Everett's thoughts trailed off to a depressing truth. From what I've seen, compared to these kids, I know nothing... They all seem to have better understanding, better control, just better elemental... Whatever... They're just better than me... What am I even doing here, I just wanna get this element under control, that's all I want... Forget philosophy, forget gods, forget legends, forget a rock man... I just want control...

Schooling his expression and wrangling that growing feeling of nauseating, frustrated anger, Everett lifted his head to resume paying attention to the lesson, having squashed down the urge to leap up and shout I'M OUT! So he looked on straight faced, awaiting this legend that their tutor seemed so hopped up on... Legends... I haven't got time for that... I need control. Now, where there was usually a twinkle in Everett's eyes, there was instead a leaden dullness and impatient concentration.

Amelia had briefly jumped and squeked at every loud or startling student reaction, but when she looks at Geb, it is an expression of distant familiarity, a sweet, kind, kind of loving smile, as if she feels an equal to him and he is an equal to her. She thought there was something the same between them, on a spiritual level. When he came to sit down, she moved closer to him, reaching out a hand, palm up. A typical student might think she was being rude, to touch him without permission as if he was just a statue, but she had a feeling that he would know the intent was a greeting without words, for him to touch his hand to hers. She still didn't know typical greetings well, one could tell by her lack of speech. But her smile alone could tell Geb she meant to be welcoming and friendly towards him, not rude, even if her eyes are distant.

Seeing students go back to their seats and welcome Geb, Cassandra regains her smile. Though she seems to return to her bright self, the one odd clump of hair remains black...

She notices that Amelia acts differently with Geb than her or anyone else, and tilts her head for a moment in thought, watching how she chooses to greet the gentle rock giant. Amelia seemed... more present, but also like that presentness was for Geb alone...

Figuring Amelia would find a seat as the legend began, Cassandra clears her throat, takes a deep breath, and changes her voice to have a slight echo and accent like the beginnings of dramatic movies and/or animes. "It is believed soon after the Beginning of Time, in the Universe's early moments, there were ten humanoids." She paused for a small effect, to see for any reactions, her arms moving slowly and dramatically as she speaks. "These humanoid beings knew not of their purpose, or abilities. These beings named themselves Nihara, Xian, Consteta, Jeeriyeh, Ollan, Miaxtra, Synetta, Genniya, Ariyia, and Tisotan." Her irises changed color with each name, in this sequence: Red, Blue, Brown, Green, Yellow, White, Black, Silver, Sand, Violet. "It is believed that they had skin, hair, and eyes the color that represented their Element, thought they did not know it yet." Her eyes scan the crowd.

Amelia smiled when Geb put his finger against her palm, and gently laid her other hand over his finger, holding it as if it was a normal hand. She smiles bright and sweet, seeming not to notice the confusion the gentle rock giant felt. Hearing the Complete start the legend, she frowns for a second, then, turning back to Geb, smiles sweetly once more, kisses the end of his finger, and walks back to her original seat, her eyes growing increasingly more distant as the legend progresses.

Simon was no longer distracted by the stone man or everyone else's reactions to him.  Instead he listened intently to what the Complete had to say.  He listened for anything that may help him ascend to the next level of Darkness control.  As she listed the gods and goddesses, he silently mouthed the word 'Synetta'.

Re: Elemental History
Jun had been mostly aloof as class began, sitting cross-legged on his pillow with his elbows on his knees, waiting impatiently for the basic questions to get answered so they could move on to the actual lesson.  The sudden reveal of Geb, however, surprised him almost as much as it had the other students.  He'd never even considered the possibility of their powers resulting in such a tragic outcome.  Hell, Jun didn't even know how such a thing would work for someone who wasn't an Earth (Rock) elementalist.  Could a person live with a body made out of wind or light?  Was Geb even really alive, or just something in between?  Complete had said that Geb had been a child before, but how did they know that this was actually Geb and not just some Golem that thought it was Geb?

Poignant questions, but certainly not something Jun was ready to ask in front of the entire class; especially Geb.  He made a mental note to bring it up to Complete later, and returned to waiting for the class to calm down and the lesson to continue.  As close as he was sitting to Simon, he couldn't help but notice when he requested they talk about the Legend of the Elemental Gods and Goddesses, which seemed to be all this lesson would be about.  Jun sighed heavily, closing his eyes in irritation.  He'd thought the first day of class would be a learning experience, but it looked like they'd be talking about something he already knew.  His cheek flopped down into the palm of one of his hands as the Complete began.  This was definitely the story she'd told him before.

Still, he let the name of what he presumed to be the Air Goddess resonate in his head.  Jeeriyeh didn't sound like a girl's name, but he could hope.

Seamus imagined a man in a knight like armor, complete with spikey shoulder pads and a sword made out of the sharpest steel. His eyes glittered and he let out an excited chuckle as he drew.

Once the word Synetta parted the Complete's lips, Aileen's dark locks of hair slightly lifted for a few moments, as if having a mind of their own, before returning to being motionless. So... this is the name of the Voice of Dark. At least now I know what to call you. She could also feel the others in the room react to the names, most likely the ones that represented their Primary nature. Perhaps there is some truth to the legend of these Gods...

Even before the Complete reached the end of her first sentence, Everett's head had begun to tilt lazily to the side, his face taking on an expression of badly concealed skepticism. Politeness drove him not to look openly sardonic, but the slight raise of one eyebrow, and even a mild roll of the eyes betrayed the fact that Everett wasn't exactly invested in the tale.

It was less to do with being open-minded per se, rather more to do with Everett's grounding in the world of the big city in which he was raised. Perhaps because he was a child of the outer islands, he had always found the folklore surrounding the elements, to be... Unbelievable.

Miaxtra...? Was the only, blithe thought that crossed his mind, with no particular reation other than a tired, quiet sigh.

Reika's lower lip stuck out and her eyes fell to her lap.  She couldn't comprehend what Amelia was doing to be so automatically and unconditionally well-liked.  Maybe it was her innocence, or maybe she was so strongly connected to the element of Light (how Reika figured Amelia was a Light, she didn't know).  At any point, Reika could look about the room and see at least one pair of eyes fixated on Amelia.  Regardless of what caused it, Reika felt some wave of envy, not toward Amelia herself, but toward whatever made the girl so magnetic.  She didn't actually want that sort of spotlight attention, but for a person to pause just long enough on Reika to find her... interesting.

The Complete's legend began, and brought Reika's mind back to where it should've been.  She was here to learn and better herself anyway.  Reika's pulse seemed loud in her ears, and she dwelled a bit on Jeeriyah, who'd been associated with green.  She tried to imagine the god or goddess.  Her parents had told her since she was young about a very general idea of elemental gods and goddesses, but never anything so specific.  She felt special to be in the room, learning things her parents and she had never known.

Now, any questions regarding the legend?"

Roy stared up at the ceiling as the Complete continued with the legend, trying to imagine what each of the gods might have looked like. A lot like Geb probably, he reasoned, maybe something inbetween. So they find out they have special abilities and then declared themselves gods... that's kinda vain of them. Don't sound like they are too nice of a people. Roy shrugged before sitting up and looking to the complete. "Where there other humans around when they were? And are they really gods?"

Re: Elemental History
Ash did her best to translate her annoyance and embarrassment into focus. As the Complete continued her lesson, Ash continued to write notes into the metal that now wound its way around her wrist again. The name of the Goddess that birthed the ability that she now possessed she wrote in raised script, placing it on the inside of the steel next to the pulse in her wrist. She didn't know anything about voices speaking to her, but she did want the name of the deity that had allowed her this ability to be close to her heart's blood.

The thought of being able to wield multiple elements was an interesting one, and one she hadn't considered. Would she come to feel such a familiarity with another element, as she felt with this one? What did their voices sound like? She was burning with questions, but now wasn't the time. She was sure the Complete would answer the questions without her asking, in due time.

Re: Elemental History
Noticing that Roy's little outburst had startled the girl sitting in front of him, his eyes had remained on her. He silently wondered if Amelia would try to leave, but it seemed his worries where unnecessary in the presence of the Complete. As he listened to the words of his teacher his eyes returned to her and narrowed ever so slightly. ' So confidence in our own skill is key, which shouldn't be confused with foolish overconfidence. Hence why a test would be a appropriate way to confirm our mastery for ourselves. Though, what kind of test would need such a requirement?

And the gods and goddesses only come to us here to avoid causing possible trouble? If they are worried about that, why do nonelementals exist in the first place? Would make things a lot easier, if we were all the same, wouldn't it? Well, maybe that legend has got some answers...'

With the Complete being the only one, who could provide him an answer at the time, he decided to concentrated on the.. ' Hm? Now this is interesting.

Like a odd habit his attention was driven away from the Complete once more as he watched Geb with great interest. He had no idea that such a being existed in their world, though he supposed that he didn't know enough about it to make any judgments in the first place.

Though, both Geb's background story and the tale of the legend made him think. ' His body couldn't move, but he could still manipulate his element? Odd, I was taught that one needed to be strong in both mind and body to not be overwhelmed by their element. Feels like there is another world, the realm of spirits and gods. It's present, but at the same time it isn't. Kinda like...' Kazuya thought to himself, watching Amelia interact with Geb.

' ...Heh. Very interesting. Wonder when I can meet her.. Nihara.'     For some reason he could feel himself getting excited with his lack of knowing and so much being left to learn and to find out. It was like his inner fire had been ignited, a feeling he hadn't felt outside of training for a long time now.

Cassandra looks at Kazuya with a calm expression. "Fair questions. Well, it is said there weren't any other humans during their time, at least, as far as they knew, and they only knew the center island of various surrounding. They did not explore. When they found out about their powers, they were said to be "young," and as they changed and learned they "grew," and began mating. Over time, some of their children never developed their powers, and some died after a certain amount of time. Time began to be measured in years, since the Gods and Goddesses lived on while generation after generation seemed to live for shorter amounts of time. Certain children didn't develop powers, so they set off to explore the other islands and try to find something meaningful." Her face remains serious as well as her voice, through this extension of the legend.

Simon had always had an affinity for the dark.  On the outer islands people would bully him for talking to shadows.  He didn't tell anyone that sometimes they communicated back.  He didn't want to end up locked up after all.

Simon's face screwed up into a look of confusion as the Complete explained that elemental users had two affinities.  He personally had never noticed an affinity for any of the other elements.  He stared at the floor as he tried to remember something that may give him some clue as to what other element he might be linked to.  Not coming up with anything he looked back up to the teacher.  Could she have be wrong?

Re: Elemental History
Aileen pondered on the Complete's words. At least now she understood that there was a reason behind her desire to understand Light. It also explained many things regarding the way humans evolved and learned, though she doubted the part of the origin story that detailed the origin of all people from the Gods. Perhaps they had lived as humans until they were close to their deaths, before surrendering themselves completely to their elements? Aileen was curious as to what the truth was, thus she wrote down a memo for her to check the Village's library for more detailed information.

Furthermore, due to the scientific discoveries of the more technologically-savvy humans regarding genetics and hereditary processes, Aileen doubted that 10 individuals would constitute a large enough gene-pool to lead to the creation of the human race. Which would either suggest that they had others among them to procreate with, or they were far more liberal in their relationships with one another... Who would have thought her tutors were right to teach her of such things as genes?

He entered the room just as the Complete asked them all what they thought their responsibilities were win their powers, no one answered. in a low quiet voice, Shiro spoke, "Protect." Shiro leaned against the wall in the back, and just listened quietly as everyone else spoke. When Geb entered the room, Shiro was surprised, but he didn't show it. He watched Geb intently, but only the Complete and Geb, who was probably used to it, would be able to tell he was watching him.

[From: Elemental History]

Late, late. Late. So very late. That and her stomach had begun a strike against eating on the run, as it threatened to push whatever she consumed last night as well as her breakfast back up her esophagus. Chry ignored that little delay, as she saw something very alike to her veranda come into view. Just without the dangling ivy, and other aesthetics. That and a row of human beings and-.. a -... Wait what was that thing? It was like a walking boulder, with other weird appendages and. That was cool, did a cushion even do anything for it? Or was it never endingly in an uncomfortable state, not graced with the human advantage of a plump and comfortable buttocks. It was a very convenient thing, oh thank-you ancestors for such boons they graced us with.

Oh, back to the out of breath thing, and the heavy breathing and-.. when was she hunched over panting, hands on knees like this? Well that was a run and a half, she couldn’t even imagine the last time she had been reduced to a heaving wreck after a run. Well, a marathon. One final, forced exhale was added before Chry righted her body. Her chest still reaching for the sky, but less significantly; her breathing adjusting to normalcy.

Stepping into the somewhat roomy glass cube, she immediately slapped one hand against the other almost as if she were praying for thou to not smite her down where she stood. “I am, so, so, so sorry for being so incredibly, terribly, uncouthly-ley-ley late!” Practically having begun squinting, as to avoid the gazes of those in the room, she finally peeked. Lowering her hands, as she innocently bobbed her shoulders, her lips pursing as she felt a crumb on her upper lip. “Can I, uhm?” She gestured to a seat, quickly and discretely disposing of the little social faux pas of a crumb with her tongue as she took a cushion to one side.

Folding her legs over one another, she took it upon herself to shut up for now. This was just not a way to start things out, this was just silly. Into the black book with her! Toast crumb littered clothing and all. That was an exaggeration, but she felt as if she might as well have been dipped in tar before thrown into a cleanly hospital ward. How were people to think of her already? She’d have to correct all those skewed first impressions, how disastrous. Why must the lull and temptation of a comfortable bed be so desirable, huh? Who made that rule?

The Complete watched over the class as various students seemed to muse to themselves about the legend and the Gods. She chose to be silent as the students commented to themselves and seemed to ask themselves questions, trying to formulate opinions on the reactions of the students.

And then a student ran in, bowed, her voice too loud, and tried to sit as if nothing happened. "Well... It is okay that you are late today, I suppose. You missed the one lesson we had today, though. Class should be over soon..." She looks to an intricate steampunk clock on the wall to her left (the students' right) to check the time and therefor the accuracy of her statement. "Do not be late tomorrow." She says gently but seriously after looking back to the girl.

A moment passes before the sound of a clock striking interrupts the Complete's warning stare. "Alright, dear students, proceed to your primaries. Some of your classes are within the building, but some are out in the forest. Those teachers may come get you, if you do no know your way."

Kazuya listened closely to the Complete, taking in every bit of information she was giving him. ' Hm... so the god's came into being, realized their abilities and created us humans with similar abilities. This would imply that our powers are of divine nature. Hm.. would explain why elemental animals are considered sacred.

This would make our powers sort of the connection to the gods, which is why we need to have a certain amount of mastery, before we are able to interact with them. Even though it seems that our powers are connected to our souls, we still have 'normal' weaker bodies. So I guess father was correct when he told me I needed to train my body too, if I wanted to be able to utilize my elements full potential, even if it is a hassle sometimes.

Though I doubt that that goes for all of us.'
Kazuya realized as he took a glance at Geb. Hearing a unfamiliar voice behind him, the blonde decided to listen to Shiro to see what he had to say. ' Pretty shy for such an big guy. ' Kazuya thought to himself, noticing that the other wasn't daring to make eye contact with anyone. Though, since he tried to participate, it would be rude to just leave him like this right?

" Well, doesn't sound like the ten gods created this place, so since they had to come from somewhere, I guess us coming from earth isn't so far off." Kazuya replied, before he turned back towards the front where someone new had decided to join class, which seemed to be over at any moment now. From what he could tell Crysanthe seemed to be the cheerful, maybe a little hyperactive kind of type. He didn't really dislike that though, as it usually made things more interesting.

'Fire Primary next, huh? Kazuya thought to himself as he felt himself get excited. He couldn't help but wonder what his teacher would be like. Though there was another matter he would have to take care of first. " Amelia. " the blonde said, trying to get the girls attention away from her new friend for a moment. " What's your element?"

Re: Elemental History
Sat, crossed legged contemplating the deep meanings of existence Crysanthe was torn from her thoughts, those plates of silver peering into the ocean blue. A split second passed, dejectedly she bobbed her head in confirmation. Well, she couldn’t promise anything but at the very least she would attempt to make it on time. That was enough, right? “Again, I am so sorry.” Her tone solemnly apologetic, searching her addressee. Damnable comfortable beds, heh. That and late night reading-... but they were so juicy, word and context clutched at you with a vice like grip and you were enthralled in mountains of black upon white.

‘Proceed to your primaries’ “Huh?” Blinking, thoughts giggling as they skipped and hopped into the depths of her mind. “It’s over? Already?” Once more, her voice fell flat, dejected as a large lengthy sigh passed her lips. Rocking herself backwards, her shoulder blades met the floor as she unwound her legs, now left sprawled as air left her chest. “Bleurgh.” Right, this was an unfortunate problem. With few solutions.

Back against the floor still, she tucked her knees into her chest using that momentum to rock her forwards. Crysanthe pushing at her heels abruptly, lifting off the ground an inch before settling down with a slap of leather boot against the ground beneath them. “So!” Exclaiming the phrase, as if to draw attention she rubbed one hand against the other. “Who doesn’t have a clue where they’re going like me? Cause I’ma creating the wagon for the clueless, plausibly riding solo.” Bobbing her shoulders, a grin bloomed. A glint of pearly teeth as she about faced, marching out into the open. “For adventure.” She idle mindedly said aloud, the corners of her mouth widening a little at the phrase.

Re: Elemental History
Roy, still debating the whole story of the gods in his head, watched with mild interest as a girl suddenly ran in to the room panting, apologized and stole one of his pillows, only for The Complete to finish the lesson and dismiss them all. The girl then stood up, loudly proclaimed that she had no idea of where she was going and marched out of the room.

Slowly Roy reached in to his pocket and pulled out the map of the school grounds they had been given where each area was clearly marked as to its purpose. Taking note of the building used for Water based studies, Roy stood and with a wave began moving to the door.

"Dont forget me come lunch time!" He chirped.

Outside he saw the girl wandering aimlessly in a circle. Watching for several moments, he debated offering to help when a figure swept down and introduced themselves as the Teacher. With a shrug, Roy waved to them and continued on to his class.

Everett was staring blankly up at the ceiling, when the realisation that class had ended hit him. I hope no one noticed me space out. He thought off handedly, whilst collecting himself up off the floor. Before leaving though, Everett cast a cursory glance over the others. Politely and somewhat tentatively, he asked with a small smile. "So, anyone else heading to the light class?"

Coming back to reality was impossible on her own, but was sudden to the striking of a clock. Her eyes had practically become dry her eyes were open and far away so long. She looked around her, the Complete seemed to be done with her lecture and the blonde boy spoke her name. At the asking of her Element, she hesitated a second. Her mouth was dry and she didn't want to talk, so she looked about the room for a single ray of light. (Also, she briefly looked for Jun, and seeing him, continued her light search.) Finding one, she "gathered" the ray into a ball, cupping her hands around it gently. She smiled shyly at Kazuya, before taking one of his hands, and placing the light ball in the other. The contact she had with him should allow him "hold" the light, if only for a few seconds.

Watching the others head off to their respective classes he looked around himself, wondering if he'd be the only one in his. Walking up to the Complete he nods to Geb. Is the lightning here or is someone going to get me...us...if I'm not the only one? He looked around again as he corrected himself, putting his pack back on.

Re: Elemental History
Curiously Kazuya watched Amelia's movements, being captured by the display of her abilities. A faint smile could be seen on his face as he was allowed to hold the sphere of light. His eyes glowed ever so slightly as he watched the ball in his hand, only hinting at his great interest and excitement. He had never had such an experience before. It was so similar to his own element and yet it was so different. His flames were usually fierce and powerful, feeling very different from this gentle light.

Though, perhaps it was because of the girl, who was smiling at him, that made him feel this way. " It's pretty. " was the only thing he could voice out, before the light disappeared along with his smile. No matter how interesting this experience was, it made one thing clear to him. " It's just unfortunate that we won't be sharing the next class. Will you be fine on your own? " Kazuya decided to ask, as he was not sure how well she took her first class.

Amelia smiled very brightly at the excitement and wonder present on the blonde's face and in is eyes. When the light faded, she released his hand, and frowned slightly at the loss of his smile. Hearing that he would not be with her for her next class, her eyes took on a mild look of panic in their distance. She frowns deeper, but nods hesitantly, fearing any other response could anger the boy.

Then, to ask of his power, she gathered another ball of light, turning it orange and yellow and moving it in swaying patterns. Something in her sense of him said "fire" when their hands were together, and she wanted to know. She could not remember if she had asked already, or if he had told her, but maybe he would take it as asking for a demonstration, since she gave him one, if he already had told her.

Only after all the other students had left did Simon slowly stand.  He looked to the complete with an emotionless face and gave her a simple nod.  He walked towards the door.  He did not know where the Darkness class would be held, but he felt certain it would not be here.

Slightly winded, Roy Rushes back through the doors in to the glass encased classroom, passing some of the other students on their ways out. Attempting not to bowl anyone over he dodges between his classmates up to The Complete. "Complete! Complete! Compaaaaaahghhahahh..."Skidding to a halt, and stumbling over a large pile of pillows someone had quite inconsiderately left stacked in a large circle in the middle of the room, he finally comes to a halt.

"Someone needs to tell the students not to gather all their pillows together! Thats just rude!" Roy admonished, entirely ignoring the fact it was his own pillow fort. He looks back up to the complete with the largest puppy dog eyes he can manage. "Complete! I was wondering... I mean, Kuron.. Master Kuron! Was wondering if I.. We.. could do the practice lesson thing over at the beach instead of the pool!? Can we? Pleeeeeeeease??!!" His hands clasped together at his chest, on his toes in barely held excitement.

The Complete looked shocked at the re-arrival of Roy. She tried not to laugh as he tripped over his own fort, and came up to her, begging like an excited young child, to go to the beach for class. "Well, mister-Roy, you might want to pick up and put back all the building bricks of your fort where they belong before I say yes. And, of course, I'll need to speak with Kuron as you do so. When my room is restored to how it was before the students arrived this morning, I will consider allowing you to go on a... well, let's say an unscheduled field trip." She smiles brightly, even though she just sentenced Roy to cleaning up the pillow mess by reorganizing all of them back into rows.

Kazuya watched the ball of light change its color, though this time he seemed to be more thoughtful about it than before. ' It's changing colors..? I see.. since light allows us to see, light elementals basically have the ability to manipulate what we perceive. With enough mastery I'd imagine it would be possible to disguise one's self, create illusions or even turn invisible.' Kazuya thought to himself as his eyes went back to Amelia. Was she being a light elemental the reason for her unique appearance?

Since Amelia allowed him to witness her powers it was probably only fair of him to show her a little of his own. Though, in a room full of flammable pillows he wouldn't be able to show her much and there was the fact that they were going to run late at this rate, especially since they didn't know the exact location of their classes, so he decided to leave that for later. " We should probably get going now. You should show this to the teacher of your next class. I am sure they will be delighted with your performance. I will see you later, alright?" Kazuya said as he got up and threw his bag over his shoulder, only waiting for her response, before he would go to his class.

At the mention of the chores, Roy started to groan, his head falling back as he looked up to the ceiling. When The Complete said she'd consider it though, he snapped back and quickly began sorting out pillows in to their proper places, at first just tossing them away to the general areas he had taken them from and then going back and working around the remaining students to organize them in to neat rows. At first huffing at Kazuya, Amelia but remembering how frail the girl had seemed before, gave them a wider birth to let them move at their own pace. He gave Kazuya a faint nod as he walked by before returning to the task.

If anyone were to listen carefully, they might have been able to make out Roy quietly humming to himself "Gonna go surfing! Gonna go surfing! Gonna go surfing!"

She lets the ball of light fade, and nods in understanding of Kazuya saying they should go to class. When he mentions that he will meet up with her after classes, she brightens back up with a vibrant smile, and nods, looking forward to that time. Amelia seemed unaware of Roy's actions, trying to focus on the one student who spent patient time with her other than Jun.

Carefully rising up and gathering her belongings, the girl smiled and nodded towards the Complete, her dearest Lilith taking into the air around her as she made her way towards the location where her Primary teacher was. Thankfully, Aileen payed sufficient attention to the brochure she had read a few moments ago, meaning that locating her teacher shouldn't be a big deal.

As she walked towards the grounds, she wondered who would her new colleagues be. She wished to meet and befriend more than those of her own affinity, as Geb, Roy and Seamus seemed to be nice people, but for now, she would have to settle with getting acquainted with those touched by the Dark.

Re: Elemental History
. . . A slight clatter could be heard outside the classroom, as Devin once again pulled himself up from the floor. Despite the rather loud fall he just had, Devin very slowly opened the door to the classroom, finding that the majority of the students had already left. He looked around very nervously at the unfamiliar faces, his eyes landing on the one who was the Complete. Devin knew who they were right away, having seen them covered by the media oh-so many times.

"Wow. Okay, umm... Hi, I'm terribly late, and you're the Complete." Devin took a few steps forward, somewhat afraid that he was going to be asked to leave due to his untimely arrival. As he took these few steps, Devin noticed someone that seemed to be talking to the Complete. Tall, skinny, pale, and wearing admittedly, ugly clothes; but, despite his second-hand attire, Devin couldn't help but look at the boy in awe. He wore the same look on his face that Devin seen in the mirror every morning. One of pain. (It didn't help that Simon was also exceptionally attractive too, this just made Devin stare even more intently.)

Devin grew up cut off from people, so he had no idea it was impolite to stare, but he eventually stopped as he turned to address the Complete again. "Umm... Please don't kick me out. It won't happen again, I promise... I'm Devin Cr-" Devin was about to say his last name before he realized it might be best not to, "umm... Devin. My name's Devin by the way, I enrolled a few weeks ago..."

"I'll just have your teacher come," she said politely, seeing another boy out of the corner of her eye. Forming a fist at her side and slowly opening her fingers as she brings her hand in front of her face, her eyes go dark antil her irises are black like her pupils. Her flat palm is now in front of her face, with a pure Dark orb resting on it. She whispers into it and then it flows out of its orb shape and into smoke that leaves through the door, a whisper being played repeatedly over it as it travels. She then turns to the boy who must have taken the fall she heard so acutely in the hallway.

"Hello, Devin. Are you okay? Your nose is a bit red, well... Looks like it's about to bruise. Would you like any help? And don't fret, you won't be kicked out for being late today. Come to my house for dinner tonight, I can give you the lesson over a meal of your choice if you would like." She smiled kindly, in a somewhat motherly way. The color returns to her eyes, rich sapphire blue and bright dancing flames, by the time she is done speaking.

This is what Devin probably looked like after having witnessed the Complete seemingly commune with an orb of pure darkness, then going on to sound like the world's nicest person: http://pa1.narvii.com/5763/25d...4228211eec005_hq.gif

"... No, my nose'll be fine. I fall a lot so, I'm kinda used to it..." was Devin's timid reply to the Complete's offer of medical help. Despite having turned down her help there, he was both afraid, and too curious to deny her offer to dinner though. Plus, it would give him a few extra hours out of his grandparents' cabin. "Dinner and the lesson... H-hai... I'd like that... Arigatō..." Devin also let out a sigh of relief from having heard he wouldn't be getting kicked out. After Devin accepted the Complete's offer, his eyes drifted back to Simon.

After a few seconds of rather awkward silence, Devin realized that he was still late to school, and immediately turned looked back to the Complete. "Oh! Class! That's right! Umm... I don't remember where the Sound primary is..." Devin's eyes travelled downward, as his right foot swept the floor and his hands found there way into his pockets. He was embarassed for having forgotten where the classroom was, despite having just stared at a map of the school a minute ago.

Re: Elemental History
Simon tried his best to ignore the tall kid who seemed to be staring at him.  Back in the outer islands kid's stared and, when they eventually got bored with that, they usually turned to name-calling or even physically abusing him.  He was determined that that wouldn't happen here.  If it did he would release the darkness.  Every day his control over the darkness got stronger.  He hoped he would learn yet even more by attending classes.  One day he'd be strong enough that no one would be able to touch him again.

Simon turned away from the boy and stepped just outside the door to the Elemental History class.  Sure the walls were glass.  Sure the boy was likely still staring.  Simon would wait.  Wait for the Darkness teacher to arrive.  How dare this place make him look like a fool by not telling him where the Darkness class was.  Inside, anger and resentment started to build.  Simon stared straight ahead at nothing in particular.  His fists were balled up at his sides.
Lights started to flicker and the sharp crisp edges of nearby shadows began to undulate and move.

Eventually, Simon closed his eyes and started to breathe slow deep breathes.  The shadows became still once more.

The Complete smiled at the boy with headphones. "You're welcome." She said in a warm tone. When the boy said he didn't know where his class was, she opened her mouth to speak again but went rigid at the sense of the Darkness Primary boy shifting to anger. Her head whips to face him, and she speed walks to him, light starting to come from her palms, but stops just a short distance from him when he calms. She stares a moment, forgetting to breathe. That was close... She couldn't help but feel it was her fault. "I'm sorry." She said. "Are you alright?" Her voice was gentle, her face concerned.

Simon could feel the light emanating from the palms of the Complete's hand.  He didn't have to turn to know it was there.  The light irked him like rough wool against sensitive skin.  As it came closer he fought the urge to spin and smack her hand's away.  Before he turned to face her his cold eyes softened and he relaxed his hands.  He looked at her with a blank face and even managed to give her a small fake smile.  "Fine."  He figured that would do it.  She had no reason to stick around with so many other students around with questions of their own to ask.

After a few seconds he finally muttered something else ever so softly, "Perhaps..." he started to say, before increasing the volume of his own voice to something more normal.  "Perhaps, you should consider an orientation and give people a tour of the grounds on the first day," he said with a helpful smile.

Every word, Devin heard it all. His ears sucking in the short conversation between Simon and the Complete. But it wasn't her fault, it was Devin's fault; consequently to Devin's realizing this, his mood changed quite obviously. His shoulders hung, as did his head slightly, he made Simon upset.

Every word, Devin heard it all. He heard the pain behind the smile. He heard the despair within the "fine." And he heard above all else, the tone differnece in Simon's voice that clouded self loathing. And he was sure the Complete had heard it too. At a slow pace, Devin began leaving the classroom. As he passed the Complete, he spoke. "I'll just check the board again to find the class. Thank you..." Devin said quietly, but loud enough for the Complete to hear him. And as Devin passed Simon at a quicker pace than he did the Complete, his bangs moved slightly, and Simon would have seen a small twinkle under Devin's eyes, almost like water shining.

"A little to the side... Square the corner... Edges need to be smoothed out..." Roy mumbled to himself, holding a hand up to silence the Water Primary when he confronted Roy as he worked. The pillows had all been arranged with military precision back in their proper places, all faced in uniform direction as they had never been touched. He had even taken the time to arrange the pillows by color and wear and tear in descending order from back of the room to the front. So focused had he been, he failed to notice the other students leaving, or the lights flickering, or anything but his task for that matter, merely weaving in between other students as adjusting the pillows as needed.

No corners were to be cut when surfing was on the line, and he was still feeling guilty about upsetting The Complete earlier with his actions. When he finally stood back, observing his work and nodding to himself, satisfied. Roy turned to face The Complete, the look of severity still glinting in his eye. The pillows have been rearranged as requested as per our deal ma'am." He nodded again to The Complete, almost signify that he was accepting on her behalf and dismissing himself so that she wouldn't have to waste the effort.

At once, his shoulders relaxed, his poster slackened and the wide faced grin replastered itself upon his face as he approached Kuron. Roy took note of the state of the classroom, many of the students who were there when he started had vacated and one he didnt recognize had appeared, but Roy shrugged. C'est la vie. Life came in waves, you could either ride them in or get dragged unde.r Which reminded him, "Surfing?!" He beamed, face alight with excitement as he stared puppy dog eyes at his new instructor.

Simon looked over the Darkness teacher.  His eyes squinted with curiosity.  Would this man truly be able to teach him how to control more the Darkness's power?  Or did this man live in fear of it like most others?  Simon gave a short bow of his head.  "Simon Willow," he introduced himself in a soft voice.  He was frail of body and as such his soft voice came as little shock to anyone.

Simon flashed a quick side glance and scowl to Kuron.

Deservet growls at Kuron as he passes, eyes opening and glinting as dark, sharp daggers. His head moves little at the Complete's nervous look. When Simon speaks, Deservet looks down at him. "I am Deservet Cono. Come with me." He then turns towards the door, waits for Kuron to walk a fair distance, and glances at the boy Kuron was talking to, waiting for him to leave.

Re: Elemental History
Roy looked between Kuron and the new teacher."Uhh...." History existed there, and very little of it was looked back on fondly. A quick pleading glance was thrown to The Complete, but as Kuron moved off out the door, Roy let out a small sigh of relief as the tension eased and followed Kuron out, just happy to be able to hit the beach.

Re: Elemental History
Aileen followed the Darkness Instructor back into the Elemental History room, its lights dimming as they entered it. "Is it just for show, or are you passively shunning Light away from you?", the girl found herself asking the teacher as she entered the room, where she found a few others inside, among which was also Roy. Waving at him with a smile, her expression turned into surprise as she heard the man next to him speak about Deservet, his words speaking not a single good thing about the Instructor.

As she met eyes with Simon, a soft smile etched her lips, before the woman bowed her head in greeting. "Hello, Simon. I'm Aileen and I'll be your fellow Darkness trainee.", she spoke with a gentle tone so as not to startle him, for she had realized that Simon wasn't the very social type of person.

Simon turned to Aileen and gave her a small smile in return.  "Hi.  I saw your flower earlier.  I like it."

"We should probably go.  I have a lot to learn," he said to all involved.  He was eager to start learning more about the Darkness and the gifts it provides.

OOC if noone talks to him or stops him he actually rolls himself into a large boulder and rolls down the pathway."

Re: Elemental History
Floyd had finally come out of the classroom and saw who he could only surmise was his instructor. Two other students seemed to be following him and the were on the ither side of the clearing. He sighed and began to make his way over there. As he did in a shadowy corner he saw his only friend "sitting" there. The demonic looking serpent nodded at Floyd and he smiled in return. He mouthed the word "later" and watched as the head and part of the body slithered back into the dark shadow and dissappeared.

He walked up to the others. "My name is Floyd Zombra. I believe I am to be under your teaching sir." he spoke to Deservet with respect. He glanced at the other two not knowing what to think of them.

Re: Elemental History
Deservet watched Kuron leave with a dark glare, though one might see a tired, disturbed look behind it. Sighing just loud enough to hear, he looks at Aileen. "I just prefer the shadows. It doesn't hurt to dim the Light now and again for a moment or two." He watches the students interact, a thoughtful expression on his face, as though sizing up the way they would work as a team. Hm. More Darkness students this year than any other Element. The Elders are not going to like this. Then he hears yet another student address him. "Hello, Floyd Zombra. I believe your peer Simon is correct. We should return to the classroom." With this he leaves the room, the room brightening slowly as he gains distance from it.

Re: Elemental History
Aileen pondered on the teacher's words for a bit. "I understand what you're saying, but... isn't it a little dull? Having only the Dark around? I don't think I would be able to handle it.", she thought aloud, as it was clear that there was no malice within her question, only pure curiosity.

"Thank you!", Aileen spoke with a genuine smile as she brushed her hands against the surprisingly resistant material that was part of the Dark-infused flower. "I hope to learn how to create one at some point, though I still have a long road ahead."

Hearing Geb decide that he would leave for the Beach, Aileen turned and waved towards the boy-turned-elemental-construct, a soft smile on her lips. "It was nice meeting you, Geb! Have fun at the beach!", as soon as she finished speaking, she noticed Floyd arrive and introduce himself, earning a raised eyebrow from the woman. She was curious to learn more about him, as she didn't see him around during the Elemental History lesson.

Nodding towards the teacher, Aileen followed the man back towards the Darkness Primary, Lilith flying close by.

Geno enters the room, seeming unaware of who just left it. His eyes shine proudly, and he grins in a way the Complete would not have seen in a long time. The events of the morning with his new student revived something that might be worthy of the title hope in his distrusting heart, and he nurtured it carefully in his breast all the way to the glass classroom. "Cassandra, miss, I would like a word with you. It's about my limits as a teacher and regulations on further study. I may need a meeting with the Elders." Some excitement is in his voice, and his smile grows broader.

Tony, having gotten bored of waiting, decided to go looking for his mentor. He approached the familiar glass building and knocked on the door before entering. "Madame Complete, do you know if there's any classes for the Earth ele-" Then, he noticed Geno talking with the complete and immediately continued, "Oh, I'm sorry. I'll come back later."

Re: Elemental History
In reply to Tony Rockwell (msg # 149):

He nods once more to the Complete, then turns. Seeing the student teacher in front of him waiting outside the room, his eyes went apologetic for a moment and then he walks to the door with a near blank expression. Then he walks out the door, gesturing for the young man to follow.

The walk with the instructor would be boring, filled with the oppressive lack of conversation, as always. The joy he had felt some moments ago died completely when complications arose with the student and the Complete. Serves me right for having hope. Bah. A man like me should know there is no hope anymore. It would seem that the student was about to move away.

As they approached the classroom, Geno walked in without saying anything to the student teacher beside him.

Tony couldn't quite put his finger on it, but Geno seemed to be more depressed than usual. Knowing it was probably best not to bring it up, whatever it was, he silently followed him into the classroom.
