Re: Abstract Play
Sorry to be slow...real life is continuing to show me who is boss. Shield seems to be my only option I think..just didn't realize I could run it off when it's not my turn. Getting slow in my old age. Of course it would take a real bad roll to not end up down...

Re: Abstract Play
The dice roller here seems to have a longstanding dislike for me, so I didn't think I would get that lucky. So I think I'm still down right?

Re: Abstract Play
Yeah, roll a death save, unless you've got any other abilities that might help.

Re: Abstract Play
To clarify, didn't Sly kill Sailor #2 last round (message #151 in the game thread)? Or did the psychic attack interfere with this?

Re: Abstract Play
Key question: do I need to submerge to use ranged powers? Is there any penalty if I don't, or would I just be ducking my head under water to make a ranged attack like Javelin of Faith?

In reply to Sensei (msg # 364):

Just duck your head under, you should be fine.

Re: Abstract Play
Sensei is Nearby but not Engaged with the enemies, right? If I dove down and did Evasive Strike, I could dive back to the surface by popping free, right?

Re: Abstract Play
So, validate the following:

1. This round, I could swim down to Nearby and hit him with a ranged attack (say Javelin of Faith).

2. The second round, I could swim down, attack in melee, and if I'm lucky pop free as well.

3. Third round, I'd take damage but could swim back to the surface.

Alternatively, I could swim down Nearby and just pepper him with ranged attacks.

Is any of that correct?

Question to Sensei since I am unsure of mechanics...so I need to rally to spend the recovery right?

Absolutely NOT. This is NOT a Rally.  :-) You still can do your Rally on your turn whenever you want. A cleric's healing is unrelated to Rallies.

Re: Abstract Play
On turning the wheel: Does it have to be two consecutive rounds to turn it, or if I do something else this round (like, say, attacking the galley slave grappling Sly), would the wheel still only require one more round of turning?

Just confirming: if I use Tumbling Strike this round, I can apply the +5 to pop free BEFORE the attack, right? Trying to free myself of the zombies to get to the lich.

Re: Abstract Play
I guess so, the description doesn't make it sound like the designers thought of it that way, but I feel like it is an acrobatic manuver that should work even before you've struck.

Is there a penalty to disengage from the mob? Or do I treat it as one enemy?
