This makes me think of an idea I've had for a while that I've not gotten around to do in the game. I had intended to build Combat simulators in every major city across the polity as well as a few extra anywhere there were large numbers of Blackwatch in foreign lands, make them a competition where Blackwatch citizens can enter and attempt to be the best in whatever section they decided to 'play', group tactics, solo infiltration, or whatever other types of combat scenarios that can be run in Combat Simulators currently. They would be rewards for the best ranking members, monetary, prestige and fame, at least within Blackwatch. Then using the data collected, Blackwatch would modify training standards as well as improve the combat simulators and similar things. Kinda wish I'd gotten to that at some point.

Edit: Jesus, I just realized that I've been tossing around that idea for a very long time, since Combat Simulators had first been invented in fact.

one thing that has surprised me, and is something I want to put in, a few   turns, is paintball games, and whole facilities, theme parks if you will, dedicated to it.
Mildly useful for training a civilian reserve force, as well as allowing friendly class war venting.

I may have asked this when previously here, and if so, then I apologize, as its not in my notes, but does FedeRail extend to the Silver Republic, or into the Silver Republic?
To rephrase, does it stop at the Silver Republic, just one city there of, or does it extend into the SR, to include several other cities?
Its kind of important, because considerations for expantion and so forth might be under consideration later.

Okay, looked up the map: https://imgur.com/a/MvRpq

It should be mentioned that Blackwatch does indeed have coverage, though closer to a separate network with transit points in Browning and Northhall, which is why they aren't shown here.

Same with Wraithguard, IIRC. I have a PM conversation with him about setting up a border town on my side of the Styx Terminus, town will be called Feneos. I haven't spent any actions on it yet, though.

I have four major cities?
This is news.
*Could I have the names of those cities, and perchance what Duchies they are located in?  I might rename one, perhaps.

In reply to Zethira (msg # 35):

It could be La Venta or Hanan; . I'm not sure of their layout in regards to the other three regions.

Narrator:
Bordered to the north by the massive inland sea known as Lake Mujib, to the east by the Penhyll Mountains, to the south by the Ndanga Hills and Dorados, and to the east by the sudden shift from the jungles of the Dukedom of Dorado into the dunes of the Desert of the Moon, the people of the Republics consider themselves held gently in a blessed cupped hand. They have a great deal of untapped wealth, hard historically to develop by after centuries well able to contribute to their economy.

It is the Dukedom of Dorado that holds the wealth of the jungles, medicinal and material; the Dukedom of Velacruz claims most of the freshwater shores of Lake Mujib and the best farmland, and thus to two non-Ducal cities - La Venta and Hanan; the Dukedom of Cortega holds the mining pits and quarries that border the Federation

I've modifed the government some since this information, but geographically speaking, its all I've got, on who is were.
*plays I've got no strings*
I've got no eyes,
So I can't see,
So maps are a total mystery.
I once had eyes,
Partly,
But now they've quit on me.

Notes to self, to be edited as necesary, just in case tape breaks,
  1. construct ground based storage units that give more bonus than just no maintenance , something like an economic bonus or something.
  2. Braille notes for Opperation Whammy are filed under  P-T. for RPG stuff.
  3. Continue to plan out something to do Co-op style with all the other players, playing to their strengths.<

I found this short, soundless video that depicts speed of light movement around the earth and then to several nearby celestial bodies, in real time.

Playing to our strengths? I forget if my strengths are a deep concern for the well-being of the individual or if it's a naive and reckless pursuit of dangerous knowledge.

In the History of Kant, the phrase "playing to one's strengths," is a turn of phrase that often refers to something that one is percieved by others to be a strength, but may not actually be a strength, or considered one by the person to whom it is being refered, although given the slant of the phrase in modern parlance it could also be used to refer to something the speaker wants to be deamed a strength for sake of the conversation.

Yeah, 'handling logistics' just sounds better than Treasurer when it comes to assigning roles for a group thing i suppose.

More versatile  to be sure, but I can't say one sounds better than the other. On just make me think of different things.
And now to double check my budget and finish typing up fluff, and things should start getting interesting for the Silver Republic again soon.

Kovac Teslan:

To be more accurate, it's an entire system of education that's fully funded by the polity, so the students have zero tuition fees (which prevents income disparity -- no debt-based economy here), free school meals (so they won't get hooked on burgers and fries and end up healthier) and free public transport (prevents a load of problems further down the line).

It's also got a connection to employment further down, and some labor reforms that put more of a focus on employee health (you wouldn't believe what sick leave costs a nation each year!) so i'm quite happy with how that one turned out.

Hamilton's the one managing my universities, since for me, it's the system itself that was important, rather than the individual universities themselves.
