Re: OOC
The good news is you only need to roll initiative the first round and it stays the same the rest of the battle.

Re: OOC
There's a rule about drawing a weapon on the move:

If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you may draw a weapon as a free action combined with a regular move.

Also: Christ Merek, WTF? Nice hit!

Re: OOC
Fletcher now 1 skill rank in healing (+2). Can I help someone who has already received a healing attempt or is it a one chance kind of thing?

Re: OOC
Not from healing skill.  You made your roll on yourself for long term care but failed on marek.  You will gain double hit points from the nights rest.

Re: OOC
Thanks to Jeff, I see that you can draw a weapon as a free action during a move action if you have a base attack of +1 or better.

Re: OOC
I was wondering if there would be any interest in starting a new thread just for camp/trail/travelling talk.

We do it a little, but not enough to my liking.  It could be used for sharing information and just learning about each other, all in character, of course.  It can be a free flowing thread that can be used to go back in time, or even the future.

For instance, we really need to make a plan for going back to this town.  I have my own opinions (as Marek, of course) as to what to do, but I've never had a chance to fully express why I think we should choose a particular action.

Another example.  All I know about Nod is that he's some elven apprentice wizard, that for some reason, plays around with a sword.  I'd like to talk to him and find out his motivations.

We would naturally have these kind of conversations as a course during our travels or bedding down for the night, so I don't see why it would be out of character.

Don't get me wrong.  I think the game is going great.  Perhaps a little slow for me but that's because I don't have much of a life! :)  I just thought a little enhancement would make the game even more interesting.

Re: OOC
I would just post it to the regular thread. I like going back and reading the posts, just afraid it might water down the original thread if we post all the trail talk in another thread. But I do like the idea of more trail talk! I too have no life... :(

Re: OOC
Perhaps your right.

Off that subject, do you get the feeling that we are playing against a MTG green deck here?  Think about it:

Wild Mongrels
Giant Owl
Wolf
Bear
Pixie
Beetle

How far apart are the Traveler's Rest and the town?

Is the Inn in the town?

Re: OOC
I don't think there is a town. Just the inn and the stable.

Re: OOC
Clarification:  The party stopped about 10 minutes from the edge of the woods to avoid being seen.  If anyone moves to the edge of the forest it will require a stealth check.  If you can see the area there is a good chance someone can see you.

Re: OOC
Are Nod and Marek at the forest edge?  If so I need stealth checks.
