Mods: Significant changes to the ship's overall function, usually requiring a special resource to implement.

Primium Circuit: [5% IC in Primium] Enables Psi-Active Tags to be applied to the ship.

Tags: Provide access to special abilities inherent to the ship class.  While these are generally situational in combat-time, proper application can effectively increase the ship’s Combat Power by 10%.

One additional Tag can be applied as a Modification for specific vessels, in exchange for increasing maintenance costs by 50%

Strike Craft do not gain a Tag, instead, they double their CP against their ideal target (Bombers against Warships, Interceptors against Strike Craft.  Multirole do not gain bonuses against any target, but have higher CP to compensate)

Corvettes gain one tag.
Frigates gain the Escort tag for free, in addition to one tag
Cruisers gain three Tags
Battleships gain five Tags

Lance: Ignores conventional (read: Non Hypertech) armor

Torpedo: Allows for Torpedo Attacks

Escort: Adds an additional 10% CP when attached to a Cruiser.

Long-Range: Capable of long-range cruises without extensive resupply  Upkeep is only paid once per turn, instead of yearly. Cannot be applied to Escorts, but Escorts attached to a Long-Range vessel will not suffer penalties as long as their standard maintenence is conducted.

Scanner: Contests Stealth effects and permits Survey.

Cruiser: May head up a Squadron, may attach to a Flag vessel, limit of four

Carrier: Can carry 5 groups of Strike Craft per Carrier tag.

Flag: May head up a Fleet

Transport: May carry One Titan Legion, ten Robot Forces/Regiments, or 50,000 IC of material per tag.

Bombardment: May conduct effective orbital support fire.

Stealth: May avoid detection while maintaining normal operations, can be contested by Scanner

Sail: Equipped with an Eldar-style Solar Sail.  Vastly increases maneuverability and speed so long as you're not moving towards a star.  Psi-Active

Strike Craft

Light Fighter Wing [500/50]: A wing of Pinion class light fighters. Designed for interception and defensive duties. Meant to engage enemy fighter wings and torpedo attacks, they are both quick and nimble, but not overly survivable.

Combat Strength: 5
Sublight Speed: 30
Warp Speed: N/A
Role: Interceptor

Heavy Fighter Wing [600/60]: A wing of Eagle class heavy fighters, designed for both interception and light attack capabilities. These are capable of engaging any known fighter, as well as conducting surgical strikes on enemy surface subsystems.

Combat Strength: 8
Sublight Speed: 25
Warp Speed: N/A
Role: Multirole

Bomber Wing [800/80]: A wing of Albatross class heavy torpedo bombers. Normally used for long-range attacks on damaged enemy ships or against enemies with poor point-defence capabilities.

Combat Strength: 5
Sublight Speed: 20
Warp Speed: N/A
Role: Bomber

Current Generation Naval Forces

Escort Ships

Corvette [10000/1000]:The Dragoon-class Corvette is an evolution of the old Hussar-class, and serves much the same role as a light patrol ship, best deployed in small wings to protect shipping interests and garrison worlds from pirates.
Combat Power: 35
Sublight Speed: 30
Warp Speed: 25

Corvette [10000/1000]: The Yeti-class Corvette is best suited as a support unit for naval patrols.  Being equipped with a capital-grade torpedo launcher, it can provide significant ranged support for a squadron for a fraction of the cost of a heavier warship, making them a solid choice for short campaigns.
Combat Power: 35
Sublight Speed: 30
Warp Speed: 25

Frigate [25000/2500]: The Nebula-class Frigate is a further evolution of the reliable Star-class, serving much the same role, but the improved intensity of its plasma beams, and refined shielding has increased its battle power considerably without raising the cost.
Combat Power: 100
Sublight Speed: 30
Warp Speed: 30

Frigate [25000/2500]: The Kukri-class Stealth Frigate is a much more reliable design then the kitbashed Cygnus-class, being purpose built using insights gleaned from the Dark Eldar's raiding vessel to cut down on costs.  While it's overall effectiveness is inferior to the Nebula-class, the stealth of this craft is in the highest echelons of known space, and can deliver an all-powerful initial strike when it isn't serving as a forward scout.

Freighter [30000/3000]: The Bunyan-class Freighter has one role--to move vast amounts of cargo at a reasonable price.  This is its only advantage--as while it possesses a single light macrocannon battery, it has little chance to survive against all but lone pirate vessels, though at least its speed is great enough to deny battle against anything it can't fight.

Cruiserweight Ships

Cruiser [75000/7500]: The Frontier-class Light Cruiser is a fully modernized and updated platform based on the Janus' specifications.  We made use of our more advanced miniaturization to improve the craft's combat ability without compromising on its primary role as a long range survey vessel.
Combat Power: 230
Sublight Speed: 35
Warp Speed: 35

Cruiser [75000/7500]: The Phantom-class Stealth Cruiser takes the lessons developed from the development of the Cygnus-class, and expands them to the limit of our current science.  Far quieter than a ship of its weight class has any right to be, the Phantom can support a strike force of Kukri-classes to either gather intelligence in enemy space, or ambush targets of opportunity at will.
Combat Power: 250
Sublight Speed: 30
Warp Speed: 30

Cruiser [75000/7500]: The Wrack-class Light Cruiser is a long-range patrol craft, built to be the flagship of its role.  Powerful enough to outfight all but the strongest modern warships, and able to serve as the nerve center of a battlegroup of Nebulas, it will likely be the backbone of any future naval operations.
Combat Power: 280
Sublight Speed: 35
Warp Speed: 35

Freighter [75000/7500]: The Caravel-class Free Trader is a heavily armed and reinforced freighter.  It is not equipped to fight on the battle line, but between our better automation and weapon quality, it should still be able to repel anything short of a sizable enemy fleet.
Combat Power: 100
Sublight Speed: 25
Warp Speed: 25

Cruiser [120000/12000]: The Cartright-class Cruiser--named after the captain of the fallen Illustrious, is the first true capital-class vessel in our navy.  Improved miniaturization have allowed for the addition of hangars and launch facilities for several wings of strike-craft in addition to the old Malta-class' specifications, and the shielding and armaments are equipped to the highest standards we understand.  It can reliably overcome even a modernized Imperial Battleship, and the odds only get better when we include an appropriate escort.

Warp Speed: 25

Cruiser [120000/12000]: The Atlantis-class Assault Carrier has one role, and one role only.  To deliver its cargo no matter the opposition.  Overcharged engines and heavily reinforced armour plating allow it to fight its way through all but the stiffest competition, and its Bombardment Cannons can be easily turned onto anything that gets in its way.  Couple this with several laser broadsides and the ability to maintain several strike-craft wings, and we have a dedicated heavy transport, capable of allowing us to project power at need.

Old Generation Vessels

Escort Ships

Corvette [10000/1000]: The Hussar class corvette is designed to operate in small squadrons, and is the smallest warp-capable combat ship in regular use by the Navy. Carries a single Plasma beam and a number of secondary batteries.
Combat Power: 25
Sublight Speed: 25
Warp Speed: 20

Corvette [10000/1000]: The Wendigo class torpedo corvette is similar to its more conventional partner, but operates a single antiship torpedo launcher in place of its plasma weapon.
Combat Strength: 25
Sublight Speed: 25
Warp Speed: 20
Special: Torpedo Launcher
Tags: Torpedo

Frigate [25000/2500]: The Star class frigate is the newest class of Frigate available to the Federation Navy. Equipped with a pair of Plasma beams and numerous smaller batteries, it is capable of engaging any comparable capital ship with a reasonable chance of victory.
Combat Strength: 75
Sublight Speed: 25
Warp Speed: 25

Capital Ships

Cruiser [75000/7500]: The Ruin class light cruiser is a recent addition to the fleet, as well as being the most powerful light cruiser yet constructed.
Combat Strength: 225
Sublight Speed: 30
Warp Speed: 30
