Basileia Private Academy for the Gifted is located near the empire’s capital, where the royal family resides. This wonder of architecture is home to many students, all working the means to their own ends. Some are there because of their noble status, others are here on scholarship or as a form of punishment, but all of them have one thing in common: they want to leave. So, from ages fourteen to eighteen, hundreds of students wander the halls, where unexpected perils await them. Behind the lush tapestries hung through the marble halls lay forces vying for more power and waiting to take away everything the students have ever known.

Gifts
Most people are born with the special ability to control and create the elements that make up the world; Only some fully master them. Fire, earth, wind, and water can be inherited, along with mutations that create powerful strikes of lighting or the ability to move metal at will.

But, these gifts come at a cost. Exertion has seen many fall with burns engulfing their arms, or left dehydrated to the point of death. Gifts must be nurtured, exercised like one would a sore muscle. That is why Basileia is here.
