There are some potted plants placed tastefully about the room. Please note you returned to the gathering and was followed inside by the youth.

Re: Welcome wagon

All right. I have questions about the layout of the room. Since you have not described the actual thing appearing on the table, I'm assuming it's invisible.

I'm considering using create water to create a mist on top of the table. That should cause it to be seen.

If I do that, will that cause the footing around where the Crown Prince is to be slick?

Angharad did not bring her spear into town. Are there decorative weaponry on the walls she could use?

Humm... Sorry it looks like I made another incorrectly phrased posted post. I'll have to watch that.

Re: Welcome wagon

Ok, I thought I was behind him and Firumond was in front of him. Did he get tossed aside?

I thought I was back inside the room, as Firumond saw me. Did I see Firumond assault the young man?

Are there other weapons around?

Re: Welcome wagon

In reply to Angharad (msg # 142):

You left the hall spent some time on the balcony, spotted the Urchin decided to return to the room and noticed he followed you inside. You asked him who he was he replied no one of note and attempted to follow some of the catering staff. The Urchin was approached by Firumond and two attendants, one these asked for his invitation. The Urchin fled and was just about to reach the external door when he flew through the air and landed on a table. Regretfully the style and decoration in this dining area doesn't include weapons, shields or armour.

I thought I was walking toward the "external door" that the boy was approaching when magic was used on him.

Re: Welcome wagon

Humm. Either the campaign appears to be lacking in sufficient interest, to entice players to post; none of you feel the need to interact or there isn't sufficient action to capture your imagine. Could I get some feedback.

Re: Welcome wagon

At the moment, I don't feel like there's a significant hook to have us all engage simultaneously. I've had the same problem with my FtF group of all my friends.

This medium is not great for transmitting emotional content. When in doubt, image Santa Claus saying this. Here are my feelings.

You presented the idea of helping out the nobility in various areas, but that was a bit nebulous. It also seemed like indentured servitude. Not much on adventures there. Maybe you had something else planned that we have not yet gotten to.

This magical puzzle has no pressing need for us to solve it. It was not followed up by armed rebels. So we are standing around bickering instead of engaging the puzzle.

To some degree, it's the genre. GURPS tends toward roleplayers, so we all talk more and act less.

In reply to Barrack (msg # 148):
Thank you for your comment in answer to this I'm hope not to be a GM who forces Characters to post, as such there's little evidence of character progression interaction ie talking or even bickering, nor am I one to lead Players around, preferring to present subtle opportunities.

Re: Welcome wagon

Financial advances are calculated upon the Perspectives, Primary skill + 1/2  relevant secondary skills + 1/4 relevant territory skills.
To determine the skill rating characters they average result of five rolls for their Primary skill rolls; the average result of five relevant secondary skill, and the average result of five rolls for each relevant tertiary skills.

Re: Welcome wagon

I did say I was watching the captives carefully.

Did I get any interesting information about the two captives on the short journey? Are they faking a limp? Did they make eye contact with accomplices in the street? As they approach the gaol, did they seem more desperate?

Here's a die roll in case it matters.

OOC : 08:07, Today: Angharad rolled 12 using 3d6 with rolls of 1,6,5.  Angharad Perception vs 13.

You get a good sense that they dislike each other, there was no sign of any accomplices in the street, but then again it's near midnight. Neither of them appeared perturbed as they neared the Station.

Approximately how does gold and copper translate to $ values for gear?  (Deciding how much to go shopping with vs. invest).

Thanks!
