- Delete upon Finishing ? -

Y/N?

This is where my notes should be going. OOC is for OOC - the players. I'm gumming it up.

Anyhow, work continues. I know what these locations are like. I simply have to pull them from my head and put them onto...digital paper? I suppose that's what you might call this.

Creation of characters is not merely making one - generally, I am making two or more at the same time that are all moving as one. A master and his summons, or a boy and his dogs.

Optimism! That's the tone of this world when it comes to it. And yes, I am aware that I have made a world in which being a jerk literally fortifies the world's existence against dissolution, and that cosmic horrors are implied to be outside the world that make Missingno look like a benevolent, loving force.

It is still optimistic, all the same. One day, on our own planet, in real life, the sun will go supernova and torch the planet. Consider the timetable of the things beyond about on that scale.

But who cares? Today we make things happen. You don't worry about millions or billions of years in the future, because you need to worry about the here and now.

I can't read Numberese. I suspect those are supposed to be pictures or links of some kind. All I'm getting is "👍😁👍" and I skipped the class that would let me read that.

Anyhow, I am still working on this. Team Victory is getting the bulk of my attention because they are driving the "main plot" such as it will be.

However, a lot of work still lies in front of me. "Gym Leaders" or rather, "Knight Grandmasters" are going to be a thing, and yes, if one gets eight badges, they may enter the halls of Araqiel or Zunid on business or (more likely) enter the service of their Imperial or Paladine defense forces. One can also petition for a title of nobility that is recognized by Tarien (a separate petition is usually required for a local title), and also reserves for themselves the right to be unchallenged by a nameless guard at the Forge of Heroes known by the children there as "Mister Nope," who guards the entrance to the trials themselves.

We aren't yet getting into Tarien (who wants a grand unified nation where everyone has a voice), the old-world aristocracy (who don't like the direction the world is moving in and find the idea of "empowered peasants" terrifying), the Celsi (a pro-Tarien faction who think Tarien is moving too slowly), the three major religious institutions (Churches of Magnas, Albion, and the Frisian Old Ways, whom the first two agree that they hate the third), the Pokemon Nobles (many of whom have not forgotten how they were treated during the Great War and the Aftershock that followed), the Family (who is feeling a bit of pressure lately but is still dangerous), the Outlander tribes (who are not of one mind regarding Tarien but have some very belligerent warrior tribes who make a very bad impression on the militant Democians), the Glitch (which is paranoia inducing to everyone not of it), and finally you, the exceptional and adventurous individuals whose will can rewrite the world for better or for worse and are likely motivated by smaller things.

Those come later. For now, one step at a time - Team Victory gets my focus in the moment. I'll likely divert some attention to Frisia tonight as well, get a little closer to putting what's in my mind in text.

Also, recently got my hands on the Savage World Weird War books, mostly because I was trying to make a mental image of what the Great War was like, and so I can get into the heads of the Pokemon Nobles who fought that horrid conflict out.

To create Frisia (although obviously not its geography which I am putting off due to being lazy), one must understand the context from which it arose. They were essential to the rise of Tarien I, particularly one individual named Arctorius Zed, who basically wrote most of the laws in present Frisia, for better or worse.

Tarien I is a...polarizing figure, in universe and hopefully out of universe as well. Were his actions really necessary, or was he just convincing himself of that while taking the easy and quick way? The man was certainly flawed, being a colossal egotist (given that he named his Empire, his Legion, and his son after himself weren't clues enough), and most of his posthumous instructions were about leaving others to fix the flaws he felt he could not correct himself in life - in essence passing the check.

Another point would be whether the Celestine made a serious mistake choosing him, with most citing the disaster domino incident that led to the burning of Rachiel and Araqiel, all because Grand Paladine Julius II and the new Emperor Tarien I had to have what was, in essence, a chest-puffing contest to determine who would be the real power in the seven kingdoms and who really had the favor of the Celestine.

Either way, I have some work to do. Tarien II ended up working out a lot of his dad's issues. History is going to be a bit wonky, so bear with me. It might change as I write more details and go back to correct.

History is a work in progress.

As I go through the world I'm making, I'm realizing a few touch-ups might be in order.

For example, the Celsi should actually be the adventuring group, not the sciency one. Bear in mind, keeping them in their political role is great, and there is a secret to the group I'm keeping to myself as to why the Emperor likes them. For the most part, though, the open reasons are enough for everyone in universe.

But the group's head, Bunson the Charizard-X, wants to use the group to find his master, dead or alive. Unlike the late Emperor, who Giratina certainly noticed, Celsius would have fallen below his radar - he wasn't the kind Giratina would have courted. He was hardly a saint, though - don't confuse my disdain for a mark of morality.

So, the search is on, and there are also those reality stabilizers and the potential areas they could have gone to. Since the Outlanders didn't raise them as smashed trophies, this means they are either lost, abandoned, or in use by some as yet unknown civilization...or they are the reason an influx of immigration has been occurring. What is their culture like?

Don't we already have people in the universe who could answer that in part? You know, like the one with the Glitchborn Vulpix?

Oh, and don't worry, your Glitchborn Mon will process through the furnace, which is curious that they process as smoothly as anything else. I won't blow up its soul if the worst happens.

The point is that if an adventure for the sake of adventure is being backed, they are usually the group funding it. They also pay for information, and don't care what it is: they are engaged in a fierce battle for free press (meaning press that can call their rivals "dumb-face Zedheads" and not get some form of legally backed retaliation - they have some issues with libel sometimes).

Whew. Done with that.

Back to the boring stuff - making a map and such. It's arbitrary what I find dull and what is interesting, but it is my taste. Such things cannot be helped.

Still, I'm getting a better feel for the world, and what to do in it.
