In reply to Komack (msg # 34):

With a little laugh "I was unaware that Starfleet started placing Klingons on her vessels.  Thank you for the warning Chief..." with a slight nod as I turn to leave "...it has been noted."

Re: USS Minerva - Transporter Room
In reply to Crew Woman Red (msg # 35):

As I exit the Transporter room "Yeoman.  Just in time.  Excellent."

Noticing some signals of trepidation on the Yeoman's part I'll continue with a warm smile "At ease Yeoman Filcher, I don't bite..." leaning in and whispering conspiratorially behind my hand "...the Vulcans won't let me."

Resuming my friendly, but businesslike demeanor "As we are so close - how about you show me the Sickbay.  I would like to ensure that the facilities are capable of accommodating the Ambassador should the need arise.  I'm sure everything is in order, but the Vulcans demand thoroughness and formality.  I'm sure you understand."

Traag makes it to the doorway and notes the new professional demeanor of LT Kormack. He says nothing. But he approves inwardly. He watches the newcomer awaiting Kormack to review and confirm hit identity and purpose.

Entering the transporter room, Ke'Val stopped abruptly at the sight of Traag there with the transporter chief and an Andorian. "Sorry I thought, we were expecting a Vulcan attache, not another blue-blood."

The transporter soon sparkled and a tall Vulcan female in native diplomatic wear arrived.

"I'm T'Ling. I'm here to see the captain and our Liason officer."

Re: USS Minerva - Transporter Room
Traag gives a smile and polite bow to the Vulcan Ambassador.

Greetings and welcome aboard in name of the Captain and with honor for your service to your people and the federation.

While his voice his still rough his speach is comfortable and well practiced from years of diplomatic experience. He may have to swallow his own bile in the polite greeting but you can't tell.

Something isn't right though and anyone can see it. Something about the way he was suddenly surprised with the requirement for diplomatic greeting and his forced speech makes an odd really awkward moment. Without noticing Traag remains silent waiting for the ambassador to be moved along his face Stoney and expressionless.

18:24, Today: Andaari Traag rolled 1,2,1,6,5 using D6,d6,d6,d6,d6.  International diplomacy.

Okay so being lawful means doing ones best to follow protocol, Traag has high diplomacy so he should know how but it's in conflict with his personality and the drama die (always first die for me) was a 1 so even though I got a 6 later and probably have a barely passable number it's a failure - I tried to make that work.

Re: USS Minerva - Transporter Room
Komack watched Traag bow and nearly spit up he was so comical with that roly-poly body trying to look suave.

Wait'll he tells dad. They'll split a gut. But he kept as still as a Vulcan now except for the grin.

Re: USS Minerva - Transporter Room
"Your attache is being kept in the brig, ma'am.  If you will follow me, I will show you the way to him," Ke'Val said, trying to avoid acknowledging the awkwardness of the security officer.  With a nod, he turned and exited the transporter room for the ships corridors.

He waited respectfully for the Vulcans to join him before turning to head towards the turbolift.  As he moved efficiently down the hallway, he said, "The captain sends his greetings and hopes you can help us sort out this unusual situation."

"A pleasure to meet you sir, where will my services be required first?"

If he noticed the social difficulties he did nothing to show it, however the chance to exit the room would probably be a welcome one.

Re: USS Minerva - Transporter Room
Traag frowns at the new comer it's bad enough that he gets this diplomatic nonsense dropped in his face and he forced to spew vomit and the Vulcan is so dense she won't so much as make a rude remark but he's surrounded by incompetent federation sycophants who say nothing but sweet saccharine garbage. The only one who made any attempt at straight talk was the giant.

He waits a moment no more than a few seconds for the Diplomat to go her way or acknowledge her arrival and greeting before leading the other fellow away. If she continues to stand around then he will lead the other fellow away to talk.

Re: USS Minerva - Transporter Room
Traag leads the fellow along the corridors. He seems grouchy and get more sour as the fellow shows politeness. Hmph we seem to have several people with tactics of various useless enemies. I hope you know something about federation tactics. I don't know how we're going to staff the bridge position rotating all the officers around. And starfleetStarfleet infinite wisdom we've got so many officers were getting one-deep positions because there aren't enough personnel to supervise.

"Actually I need to be taken to the Captain before I do anything else I have a datapad for him of some importance. And with my security training I have some Star Fleet tactics."

Korin Vahh gives no reaction to the attitude of the Security Lt. Maybe he is ignoring it, maybe he truly does not care but there is no noticeable reaction either way.

Traag looks at the newcomer with a variety of negative attributes.

Next time lead with that. and turns toward the bridge.
