So i'm thinking a mix between Star Wars, Firefly, Dark Matter, and maybe Kill Joys, Jupiter Ascending... lol I can't think of any other scifi space shows.

Sure although nobody will start out as a "Jedi" you could still have a force rating and force powers.


Jedi are going to be a legend, I guess that's a right word. Or a myth might be a better word.


but anybody who does want to play a Jedi I will make sure gets the right information


I'm also going to give out dark side points based on intent, not on just using a power, which I always thought was kind of stupid.

So any ideas on skills, and how to handle ship to ship battles



I'm thinking maybe doing the ship simple have shield rating, hull hit points, weapon damages, and cargo space, along with having a layout


Shields - have a recharge rate (somebody manning the shields can roll to charge the shields faster)

Hull hit points is just that

Weapons will have a damage rating - PC rolls for extra damage (that good shooting and all)


Anything else you can think of?

I still need to read up on the system but I've not had much time. Been packing to move.

Ship to ship battles... I think weapon firing should rely on the shooters skill, and it should be harder to shoot while flying. Then of course damage is as per the weapon. I think called shots should be harder targets (reactor cores, s-foils, etc...)

I like the idea of shield having its own points separate from the hull's defense. What about weapons that can bypass shields?

Other than that I'm tapped for ideas at the moment

Ya That system was pretty complicated, but we might need complicated with the ship to ship battles I haven't really read it either, too busy at the moment myself

I've barely read the ship system for Travelers (I'm actually gonna play it in a live game) And read almost nothing in the saga edition at the moment.

Complicated for the ships is fine by me. I agree it shouldn't be easy. Flying a ship isn't easy.

Across town to a Friend's that my husband doesn't know. I really have bouts of being really terrified of him and I'm truly scared of him finding me....

It makes sense. We haven't actually gotten to play with the ships yet. The GM and I trade weeks, but he's had issues and it's just been my game for the past month.

Honestly I don't mind this system for ships. It's pretty logical.
