[OOC] Out of Game Chat
Catch-all thread for generic chatter, questions about the game itself/relevant mechanics.

Secrets between characters, not players.

I'm 100% Dark Mechanicus.

Now, the interesting thing is, Devin's Rogue Trader may know this about me, but seeing as we're all stuck in this sector, and he needs someone to repair his engines, has overlooked my evil ways, in favor of getting cheep maintenance.

Heh.

HEH.

I like the attitude re: secrets, I think it's a good one to have. Secrets have their place, but ultimately I'd like to avoid an atmosphere in which players begin to resent one another.

That said! Black Crusade books are on hand (well, hard drive) for those into something... darker. </Krieger>

How many "people" servators, skitarii? Tech priests and whatever would you say I have under me?
I need to decide how to deploy my expendables. Picking up super-hobos from the bowels, working on pet projects, looking for lost with holocrons.. Etc.

In reply to Dr. Aleks Kubrik Vos-Skagerakk III (msg # 4):

Skitarii are a very overtly military presence for the Mechanicum- I would say three or four, but more than that is unlikely without our Rogue Trader having some sort of binding deal with the Mechanicum. If we work that out I'll just add them in retroactively, no need to acquire them through roleplay.

As far as Servitors go, check out this link for types: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Servitor

Technical Servitors, I really don't even want to put a limit on them, as long as it's reasonable- they're not hard to make, and if you're willing to, you've got ample supply with the crew members on the lower decks. Anything between a few dozen and a couple hundred, I'm really fine with. More specialized ones, especially combat ones, I don't mind you having a few, but I'll add that they're pretty obvious and hard to hide, if that's an issue. The Ecclesiarchal and other "specialty" ones I'd avoid, but if you want to have captured them for a collection or something, that's cool, just be aware of the implications.

Side note: Does anyone know how to do a hyperlink on this? The various formatting options below are not very descriptive.
