The Amazing Avengers #2: "...The Twilight's Final Gleaming"

Iron Fist hops over the ledge and hangs off of it.  He then lets go, and then grabs the window sill underneath.  When he's low enough, he leaps off a window sill, does a summersault in the air, and lands a few feet away from Daredevil.

He then addresses the Wrecking Crew.

"Guys, we can dial it down a notch or two.  I know She-Hulk threw the first punch, and I don't know why a prosecuting attorney would do that with all these people around-" With that, Iron Fist glares at She-Hulk. "But that doesn't mean we have to continue.  Yeah, that is what we often do, but that doesn't mean we have to."

Iron Fist stands with his feet shoulder-width apart, arms at his sides, palms facing towards the combatants in peace.

Please do not edit your post after a significant time has passed.  If it is a minor change that does not affect the dice pool or the outcome or if it is an addition that does not make a big difference, editing the post up to, say, an hour is acceptable.  But please try to minimize any edits.  Adding or changing a pick for next action well after the fact can disrupt an action sequence.

Yellowjacket: Also, be sure to note your current PP tally, preferably at the end of the post.  Your current count should be 2.

Doom Pool (4d6) reaction to Yellowjacket's attempt to create Human Shield Asset, Total: 12, Effect: d10 (msg #6):
Watcher rolled 4,1,4,3 using d6,d6,d6,d6 ((4,1,4,3)).

Total = 8, Effect = d6.
1 Opportunity.
Asset Creation successful.

As Yellowjacket grows in size, the crowd below him becomes even more restless.  If the widespread panic on these streets was about to boil over, it has now.  The people are disturbed by the sight of a man growing to monstrous proportions above them, even if this hero has proven himself on occasion.  This is a time when Dr. Pym's changing identities and confusing public persona can work against him.  Even a more well-know hero might not be enough to stop the crowd from going unglued, but now, along with villains on the corner getting into an altercation with a popular Avenger, there's no reason to stay calm and in the same place.  The civilians on the sidewalks rush in all directions and some folks abandon their cars and join the throng.  While Dr. Pym has succeeded in reaching a powerful physical state where he can protect the people, the people are too scared and running for their lives to be concerned.

Acting against the distinction is acceptable but I don't think it could be reduced, as all Distinctions are d8.

The second Doom Pool reaction to Yellowjacket's attempt to create Asset dice roll was on accident and I don't know why the Dice Roller did it.

Doom Pool (4d6) reaction to Daredevil's attempt to reduce/eliminate Crowded Manhattan Streets Scene Distinction, Total: 12, Effect: d10 (msg #6):
Watcher rolled 1,1,4,2 using d6,d6,d6,d6 ((1,1,4,2)).

Total: 6, Effect: d4 (default).
2 Opportunities.
Crowded Manhattan Streets Scene Distinction elimination successful.

The steam of people on the street, while panicked, are reasonable enough to follow a good, assertive direction toward a safer place.  Not every single one of them leave but enough do so that the herd is thinned enough that they do not pose their own threat and, perhaps more importantly, that there are none directly between the assembling heroes, their opponents, and the immediate area.

Piledriver, facing the side of the street where Yellowjacket suddenly just appeared, looks up at the man growing toward the sky.  "Engage with you?  You ain't even my type!"  He guffaws at his joke.  "I wouldn't even hit on ya!"  He slams one mighty fist into the palm of his other hand in front of his chest.  "But I'm sure gonna hit ya! And now you're just the right size ta make an easy target for us!"

Emotional attack (intimidation) on Yellowjacket:
Team    d8
Loyal to the Wrecking Crew    d8
Combat Expert    d8

Piledriver rolled 1,8,1 using d8,d8,d8 ((1,8,1))

Total: 8, Effect: d4 (default)

Thunderball would comment on Piledriver's ridiculous threat but he's stunned into speechlessness by how he was able to take down the famed jade giantess.

The Amazing Avengers #2: "...The Twilight's Final Gleaming"

A tiny dot in the sky soaring along the rooftops of Manhattan's skyscrapers suddenly drops straight down then pulls itself from the dive mere stories from the street and zooms closer to reveal itself as the red-and-white-garbed, high-flying Avenger the Falcon.  He swoops along the street, only feet feet above the tops of cars, carrying by the underarms a blond man in a form-fitting suit criss-crossed by technical lines (recognizable to She-Hulk from the incident at the warehouse).  "This looks like it's about to get rough," he says to his companion, "if it hasn't already."  He circles the scene once or twice, getting an idea of what is going on below.  "You know," he says, "this place is right by -- " then nearly runs into Yellowjacket, who grows into the avian Avengers' air-space.  He corrects his path then swoops down near the scuffle with the Wrecking Crew.  "I'm gonna set you down then help with traffic."

The Falcon sets down his comrade then zips up and out to the far end of the street and the coming congestion there.

Falcon adds Subsonic Flight d8 to Havok's next dice pool

Havok has Buddy Affiliation until the next round or until he interacts with the scene/the scene interacts with him

The Wrecker turns toward Iron Fist.  "We didn't start it but you c'n beat we sure can finish it."  He taps his palm slowly with his crowbar and smiles.  "Whynachu bring your cute little leotard over here and we can talk about it."  Less a question and more a statement.

Iron Fist did not perform an action with a dice pool so he is still eligible to take an action this turn.

Iron Fist takes only a few steps forward towards the wrecking crew.  If he wants to attack, he'll have to take a running start to get there first.  But he wants to try again with words, and this time, he's going to put some extra oomph to it (OOC: by rolling dice).

"But you did finish it!  You proved to be the better men today.  You came out here all big and bad, you goaded us into a fight, one of us took the bait, she swung, you swung back, and now she's seeing stars, and not even a mail box got flattened.  Hey, we're prepared to call it a day and let you guys have the win.  Can we please go get a beer now?"

Dice Pool:
d10 buddy (Daredevil), Young (and idealistic) Dragon d8, Psych Expert d8, push die d6

08:35, Today: Iron Fist rolled 7,7,8,4 using d10,d8,d8,d6 with rolls of 7,7,8,4.  Talk the villains down.

Total: 15 Effect Die: D10
Would this count as an emotional stress attack?

Seeing that Daredevil and Yellowjacket were dealing with the innocent bystanders, Alex instructed Falcon drop him into position between Thunderball and The Jade Giantess. Havok's sudden appearance, thanks to Falcon's powers of subsonic flight, takes Thunderball by surprise.

"I get that she hit you first...but hitting a woman with a metal ball? That's low, even for you", Havok quips, his hands beginning glow while staring a hole through Thunderball's head. "So, pack it up and call it a day before this escalates." Havok's hands are now encircled in blue bands of plasma that dissipates as it drips down towards the street.

Attack to cause emotional stress on Thunderball.

Dice Pool: Team d10, Something to Prove d8, Falcon's Subsonic Flight die d8

On second thought, it could have been a mental attack instead of an emotional attack, since you're trying to convince him of something rather than intimidating or seducing and you used Psyche Expert instead of Menace (and to give mental attacks a little action since they're used so rarely).  The result is basically the same.

Wrecker's reaction to Iron Fist's emotional attack, Total: 15, Effect: d10 (msg #17):
Team    d10
Violent Tendencies    d8
Menace Expert    d8
From Doom Pool    d8

Wrecker rolled 3,4,7,7 using d10,d8,d8,d8 ((3,4,7,7)).

Total: 18, Effect: d10.
Wrecker takes d10 emotional stress.

Doom Pool: 6d6, d8 -d8 = 6d6

"Sorry, Bruce Leroy.  I'm on the clock.  And I ain't goin' nowheres."  Then, after taking note of how many heroes are assembling around him with widening eyes, he glances at the ground then back up again, takes half a step back and crouches into a battle-ready pose.  But says nothing else.  His silence is more significant than anything that could come out of his mouth.

He sits her back on the ground out of easy strike range, "Now lets see about getting something to patch you up." He taps on the trunk of the near by car popping open its trunk, and breaking it a bit, "Ah. I'll have to reimburse them for that." Daredevil scowls in his sweaty mask as the situation deteriorates completely.  Danny had been doing so well...The Wrecker had mentioned that he was on the clock, someone paid him to be here, but Matt could tell by the sound of his pulse that the big man had been on the verge of cutting his losses.  Maybe there was still a way to avoid having a good chunk of the Big Apple leveled today..

Like a shadow, Daredevil is suddenly on the nearest fire escape overlooking The Wrecking Crew, glaring down at their leader with the best Wolverine impression Matt can muster...

"Dirk Garthwaite.  How long you been out of prison, Dirk?  You just assaulted the world's most famous female attorney in broad daylight, so I guess you can measure the remaining free time in minutes, I'd say.

"Walk away.  Let them patch her up and maybe we can forget this happened.  Until the next time that is."

I'm using Thunderball's opportunity to create a stunt for my Combat Expert ability, Tactician d8. Havok's been in combat, and directed the efforts of others in combat, so many times that everything he does is a calculated move.

"As for the plasma," Havok starts, glancing down at his hands, and then back up at Thunderball "...yeah, it behaves like a fluid sometimes. Dripping can be expected. But I don't need to tell a brilliant physicist, like you Dr. Franklin, how cosmic plasmas behave." To think, this criminal is on par with Dr. Banner. Amazing.

"And as a man of science, you know disintegration can be expected as well. So that metal chain you're squeezing...trying to summon the courage to make your next move: it's not going to be attached to that ball for very long. And then, what are you going to do? Use your fists?"
