Re: The Amazing Avengers #4B: "...That Ruin Was Still There"
The click click sound behind Wolfsbane is familiar: it's Logan, the metal skeleton, appeared again, close enough behind her to astonish that he could sneak up underneath whatever superhuman senses she has. He leans toward her, hands clenching and unclenching, the click-clicking from its throat click-clicking on. The thing does not move when she approaches the other room, certainly not making it easy for her to get around. If anything, the skeleton leans toward her as she moves past. The hands, with just a flick of the wrist to unsheathe claws that have taken an uncountable amount of lives, clench and unclench.
The Beast stops his advance, though he seethes and breathes heavily in place. His body is in fight-mode, with hair flared and eyes blazing. The Anarchy Agent stands with a hand on McCoy's shoulder. The anger in the Beast's eyes eventually calms, if slightly, enough for him to settle and his position to soften. Maybe it's his hair relaxing, but his body seems to contract.
"How can this be better than anything?" the Anarchy Agent snaps. "There's nothing left. Nothing to fight for, nothing to die for. If you had anything where you're from -- if there were more than six people still alive -- than you had a paradise compared to this." The helmet again blocks any expression of emotion but his voice lowers. "They... they took everything."
Seemingly oblivious to the conversation or actions around her, the Dragon of the Moon suavely saunters across the room, to where Storm stands. The lithe, nearly-nude woman stops in front of the wind-rider, closer than standard cultural etiquette would allow without discomfort. She looks at the mutant's face without a word then reaches to touch then slowly stroke her cheek.
