Struggling to get his bearings, Tony suddenly notices Hercules, looking more weathered than he's ever seen the demi-god. At the same time, he realizes he doesn't see Carol.

"Wait...seriously...how are we losing?"

Re: The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

Are there really enough mortals here to challenge the Lion of Olympus? Such a thing is barely imaginable. But Hercules is no mere lout, despite what some may think of him. It took more than brute strength to overcome his legendary labors, although his strength is not to be sneered at.

Bending under the blows, Hercules sinks his fingers into the metal plating of the floor and straightens with a bellow, ripping up a floor plate from beneath the feet of the Hydra soldiers crowding around him and sending them toppling back in a wave as their footing vanishes abruptly.

Attack to reduce Hydra army.

The creature's turbulent body is no match for the trial of swimming the Piranha Cove as part of the trials to prove worthy of the Panther mantle.  T'Challa grabs hold of a piece of machinery and uses it to pull himself above the mass to end up atop a piece of Zola's machinery.

As the blob sloshes and careens and swirls around the room, gaining mass that will fill the space moments from now, Zola bobs to the top of the body of the creature, his heavy, robotic frame making a feeble attempt to swim but the material of the thing buoying him well enough for the villain to come to the surface, wave his fist defiantly and cry, "My greatest creation! And now it shall be your end!" before going under again with only the sounds of chokes and gasps as he disappears back into the frightening monster.

Re: The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

With two heroes among them now, the Hydra soldiers divide, deciding spontaneously which hero to attack, their numbers surprisingly even between both targets, but creating even more chaos in the meantime. The gang of soldiers split in two, one going after Iron Man, the other continuing on the wounded but valiant Hercules.

The soldiers who can switch tasks gather around Iron Man, crowding the Avenger and, instead of bludgeoning him, knowing that immobilizing him could be more effective. They each grab at a part of the hero, to hold him down, making him a much more open target. Once the massive group of soldiers start to cohere, the chants begin again: “Hail Hydra! Hail Hydra! Hail Hydra!”

Attempt to create Pinned complication on Iron Man:

Hercules: Are you intending to spend another PP to counterattack (though it would only take out one d8 from the Hydra Team)?

Also, that Makeshift Mace d6 could have been d8, or even d10 if you had claimed it as a power stunt, which I would have accepted. Unless you're intending to use it as a Resource (multi-use) instead of an Asset (one use), which I think is how the rules have it. For spending a PP, you ought to get more than a d6.

The blob roils back and forth in the room like a slow liquid being mixed in a fat beaker. If the waves that are its body could be considered gentle before, suddenly it rocks violently, lashing out with its dough-like but powerful tendrils as part of itself turns crimson in blotches with the tubes connecting it to the laboratory clashing as they strike the surrounding equipment. The makeshift eyes it has created suddenly turn downward in rage as it flails wildly, as if seeking to strike the heroes out of spite.

On the far side of the room, where the blob's body had began to bury the man strapped to the machine, it now reaches his neck and threatens to cover his prone face. If there is still energy coming from the man's it is hidden beneath the creature.

Adding d8 to Doom Pool from Iron Man's Opportunities

Iron Man quickly performs a minor miracle in rerouting the concussive power of his repulsors into a flash attack, but it works, as far as enabling the attempt. He stands among the Hydra army but, after failing to pin him, they give him some room, but only to redouble their efforts to assault him, this time using their trusted truncheons.

The Sentry rises above the blob below him, puffing his chest and seeing what the monster will do next, confident he can deflect any attack. As he crosses his arms and glances away in disinterest, one of the creature's tendrils strikes him full in the face, staggering the hero slightly as he hovers in the air. The swipe is not enough to put him down, but the next one, then the one after that, then flurry that comes after, are enough to overwhelm him with attacks and those, gathered on top of each other, are sufficient to batter him, bringing him down from his hover, low enough so that the blob's arms can grab his ankles, then work their ways up his legs, to his torso, and drag him lower and into itself. By the time the golden Avenger is even aware that this could be a battle he could lose, the thing has covered him up to his neck. "Help -- " the Sentry gurgles, perhaps intending more words but his face then head engulfed before he can make a sound or do anything else. His hand is the last visible thing before he is enveloped completely, then soundless as if he were never there at all. And the blob surges on.

"Uff!", Capt. Marvel cries as she flies through the air, recoiling from the blast of the Hydra soldiers' rifles. Whether it was a skilled shot or just their luck or her own blasted overconfidence, she's as badly damaged as she's ever been on a battlefield while still being conscious. This is a much more serious situation than she would have considered when they entered this place, and now her lack of scrutiny could cost this ad hoc team their very lives. She gathers herself, her entire body on fire and aching and weak, yet she still stays aloft, out of the range of the Hydra agents on the floor. She knows this position will not protect her from the minions with the rifles on the catwalks but she has no shelter and in the air she stays. She looks around, trying to lose her blurry vision, and realizes she is closer to the observation window overlooking the area than she thought. Movement through the darkened window catches her eye and, though she knows she should know better than to divide her attention from the opponents at hand, focuses on the obscured bodies through the glass, clearly in a fight of their own, when she recognizes one of the figures, not from any visible details but from the unmistakable movements of someone she knows nearly better than she knows herself. Reconciling the fact that this could be her last effort -- perhaps ever -- she calls the last iota of power from deep in her body, a literal energy that starts well inside her, rising in an instant from her chest to extend through her arms and into her fingertips to be unleashed in a torrent into the air directly in front of her to strike the dim glass, obliterating it to reveal the event and its participants inside.

Re: The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

Capt. Marvel's blast rips through the window, shattering it with the cries of a thousand angels.  The bodies revealed through it are sinister, with the heroic ones under their thumbs.  Front and center stands the notorious Baron Von Strucker, the head of Hydra’s entire organization, turning swiftly but without urgency to face the training area. He wears a formidable exo-skeleton, not a full suit of armor like the Dreadnaught but surely with its own power. One fist is held high, gripping the throat of your teammate, the usually more-than-capable Black Widow. Her body dangles tensely from his grip, her hands striking at his fist and forearm but finding no reprieve. On one side of Von Strucker is the dangerous Constrictor, who, smiling, swings his fists back and forth, his tentacles moving with his motion and shimmering with electricity.  On the other side is the corrupt Blizzard, though set back a step from them and standing stoically.  Behind them, in the middle of the room, are two massive blocks of ice, sparkling among the lights from the room surrounding them, not translucent but each holding a body, one wearing purple garb with arrows caught in the ice around him as they were sent flying through the air, the other with the familiar costume of a member of the Fantastic Four, usually aflame but now with that fire extinguished. The rest of the room, from what can be seen, is some kind of control center, filled with computers and monitors.  Von Strucker holds his head even higher. Guten Abend, heroes!  So ve finally meet!” The Widow, caught in Von Strucker’s fist, grunts in pain, trying to breathe but barely managing a weak cough. “And it shall be your very undoing!” The Hydra soldiers surrounding the heroes halt, all of them facing the observation room above, silent in respect.  Even the Taskmaster is quiet. Von Strucker calls again. “Say hello… to the end! With that, Von Strucker's other hand sparks to life, a white-hot electricity crackling from his fingertips and moving around his his palm. The Hydra army turns to the heroes, their confidence strengthened from the sight of their mighty leader.

Now with only one opponent in the room, the blob focuses its huge, misshapen eyes on the Panther, who for the moment is able to leap away from its clumsy, flailing attacks. The Wakandian quickly assembles his noxious potion and the creature takes it in, just as the hero again nimbly leaps out of the monster's way just as its unwieldy limbs attempt to close on him. The chemicals are absorbed and it's easy to see where, as parts of the creature turn red and engorged, a swelling swimming on the outside of its skin, veins suddenly appearing and pulsing along its surfaces. The creature's internal reaction to it does not make it any more violent, though it seems to slow somewhat.

Please note that the Bioplasmagenic Blob is intended as a large-scale threat, as represented by being a Team xd8.

Re: The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

The creature, now digesting the Panther's hastily-assembled elixir, begins to tremble, its mouths -- more than one revealed as the rolls of its form roil -- issue a gagging then choking sound, and spits up a foul, pink liquid with lumps of white in it. The vomit sprays around the room, splattering on the few surfaces not already blanketed by the creature and sizzling and smoking as the putrid liquid eats through them.  The creature could not possibly be any more out of any control so it continues to slosh about the enclosed space of the room and, when its tumescent eyes finally locate the hero, it reaches out to crush him. Between its unpredictable movements and its acid vomit, the blob continues to close in and give the Wakandian hero less room to stay unharmed.
