Hawkeye arrives flying low on a Quin cycle to where he is suppose to rendezvous with the rest of the other heroes. He was hoping that Iron Fist was able to do as he said and reconnoiter the base and its defense.

The lead guard, the one who was in the front, lies prone on the ground, surely feeling his ribs ground to dust inside himself as he moves. Yet the other two had their shots on this hero and he's not going to let them show him up. He has his pistol, so with what could be his last, painful breath, he'll take his shot too.

Hawkeye had assumed he would be able to find the base that Cap directed him to without specific directions and this time it turns out he was correct. Flying low over the area, he hears the familiar bellow of his fellow Avenger Hercules. It takes a minute to find where he is, and thereby the Hydra base, but he gets there.

Danny runs forwards as blaster fire erupts, striking Hercules.  It seems to be ineffective at this point, but why let the Olympian have all the fun.

Covering the ground quickly, he launches himself into a flying kick at the nearest Hydra agent.

"You guys should know by now that Avengers never travel alone."

As the goons shift their aims to ready their next shots and the heroes flex in preparation of their next move, a glow appears in the sky above them: an enormous, flaming "A," ringed by a gigantic circle. You've seen this before but it was a "4" instead of an "A." This is unusual but not particularly strange, this being New York City. You don't have time to be much phased by it as the villains ready their attacks.

End of round. Next action is Iron Fist's choice.

The only sound in this neighborhood -- the Hydra guards' shots and Hercules's bellowing --  becomes a grand cacophony. It could make it easier for other heroes to gather on this spot but it can only be a signal to the other Hydra troops who are inevitably near.(/explanation of Doom Pool escalation)

You could have used the Guard's stress die.

And I forgot to note the opportunity I rolled. You can still activate it if you want.


The goon's chin, jaw, teeth, and nose fuse as Iron Fist's palm makes connect, with some shrapnel making it into other parts of his face. "Argh!" he cries.

Just over the docks, a burning form streaks through the air, writing across the sky in flame. Within seconds a gigantic Avengers logo burns overhead, recognizable across the city. The Human Torch bursts on the scene shortly after. "There you are, Hawkeye," he calls out from the air "Been looking all over for you!"


Attempting to create an asset to rally the troops and strike fear in the hearts of our foes. Avengers Assemble!
