The PP wasn't spent correctly but I'll let it go this time, since the outcome from its use would have been the same (or more against the favor of the hero because it could have been used more effectively).

I'll buy the opportunity from you, to step up a d6 to a d8 in the Doom Pool. +1 PP to Iron Man. I will always buy opportunities rolled by players.

Doom Pool (6d6, 5d8 + d6 Step = 6d6, 6d8) reaction to Iron Man's attempt to create asset, Total: 15, Effect: d8:
Watcher rolled 1,1,1,6,6,5,3,8,1,2,4,2 using d6,d6,d6,d6,d6,d6,d8,d8,d8,d8,d8,d8 ((1,1,1,6,6,5,3,8,1,2,4,2)).

Total = 14, Effect = d8.

4 opportunities if you want to purchase them.

Iron Man created Scan of Building d8 asset.

The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

Carol's mask snaps back into place as Johnny brushes past her. "Great, the Human Toddler is taking point,"she thinks.

She sees the green light. "I'm sure now that light isn't an invitation for us, more like letting someone know something's ready to come out and play".

Carol is on guard, and has taken Hawkeye's instructions. As soon as hell breaks loose, and it will, she'll co-ordinate with Hercules' action as a wedge to break whatever comes out.

The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

Spider-Man’s head whips up and around and he looks back at the city.  He sits silent for an instant, perched atop the dumpster not far from the pile of Hydra, then quickly, “Hey, guys, looks like you have this wrapped up pretty well here.”  He shoots a webline into the far distant and is up and gone before he even finishes the next sentence.  “I gotta go.  I’ll try to be back later.  Have fun storming the castle!”

Spider-Man exits the game.

The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

The anticipation hangs in the air.  The green light has seemed to freeze everything in this alleyway, down to the air molecules.  It’s really only been an instant since it changed and now the door whips open, revealing a Hydra soldier in full and familiar garb, mask and red google and all, with a menacing and shiny rifle pointed at Johnny Human Torch.  “Hail Hydra!” he barks, as the rifle hums to life, anticipating eliminating one. A wall of Hydra agents behind him obscures your view of what's in there.

Intimidation attack on Human Torch:

Dedicated, Ambitious Agent    d8

Re: The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

"Gah!" the Human Torch cries as the door swings open.  Surely he's looked down the barrel of an exotic firearm before but this time just caught him unawares, with everything going on in the alleyway around him and the electricity in the air.  Yesterday was an island full of monsters and today it's masked terrorists -- it's a big shift.  He shudders and falls back, toward Capt. Marvel but, more, away from the gun. (Good thing Spider-Man wasn't here. Missed that humiliation by just seconds.)

The Human Torch takes d8 emotional stress and turn is skipped.

Next: Capt. Marvel (as she is next in line from the door)

As The Human Torch falls back, Carol's military training and honed reflexes kick in. Within the space of a second, she's behind Johnny making sure he doesn't fall back further, bracing him with her left hand (not that he really needed it) and punching her right fist out around him, firing a blast of energy. For a split second, it looks like she's got Johnny as a human shield and firing around him at the man with the gun. She's going to blast a line straight down the hallway while giving Johnny a chance to recover.

Re: The Amazing Avengers #1: "...By the Dawn's Evil Glare"

Rising above the commotion at the door, a clamor comes the dumpster in the alleyway.  Sounds of pistons and gears cranking into place burst from the boxy object as the sides of it crash to the ground. A mechanical behemoth ratchets into place, taking no interest in being silent. In graceless fits and spasms it stretches and extends to full size, revealing itself as a full-bore, new-model Dreadnaught, dark green and emblazoned with the Hydra symbol. Its forearms, shins, feet, pelvis, and torso are comically large compared to a human, with thick cables connecting each section and a tiny, helmet-like head perched on top, with the whole thing larger than the dumbster from which it just transformed. A fist nearly as big as its torso locks into place at the end of one arm then a blaster instantly heats up on the other.  It locks into place and turns toward the nearest hero, though the bystanders, now rooted into place by fear, are a short distance from it.

Hercules's mighty fist slams into the Hydra construct with all the fury and glory it has ever exhibited, sending shockwaves that are felt over the entire block, even knocking one of the bystanders back, but the attack meets resistance.  The thing, its body still whirring and locking into place, does not move in the slightest. As it meets its full width as well as height, its tiny head seems to look up, at, then down its lengthy body at Hercules. As Hercules pulls his fist back, he feels a tingle in his fingers from contact with the automaton, more than just a sting and inferring that there might be much more than that.

A solid attack that equals the Greek god's yet the creature does not stagger and the pummel does not leaves even a scratch.

After striking the metal beast, you take an electric shock from the contact that scrambles your systems for a split-second, something no one else but you would notice. Up this close, you notice something like a shimmering on the surface of the thing's exterior, like a current going straight through it. And now it sets its sights on you.
