No worries, boss, we've been pretty quiet, ourselves. Don't take my lack of posting as lack of interest, though! Just that motivation to post waxing and waning, despite really wanting to keep up. Definitely still here. That said, I'm about to not be here because I'm flying away to nerd cafe. So, uh. I'll post soon! :D

Thanks for the post, Old Fossil, they never fail to make me laugh, or think, or both.  As for being away not a problem sir.  This time of year is challenging for most people I'd say.  The Holidays and all the activities and expectations that go along with them tend to consume an inordinate amount of our time.  I will be posting tonight or tomorrow though, as I'm off until Sunday night now.

P.S: I'll look forward to your post as always.  Have fun at the nerd cafe Celes, sounds like my kind of place :)

Nerd Cafe sounds so cool.  :-)  I am so sorry that I have been out of pocket lately.  It seems December is a tough month.  I will try and post tonight or tomorrow.

That Old Fossil:
OOC:  To this day, I don't know why Death Star stormtroopers had grappling hooks onboard a space station but it sure was lucky for Luke and Leia that they did.  So who am I to deny such an obvious deux ex machina stroke of completely plausible luck.  :-)

I'm pretty sure that was on Luke's utility belt, not the troopers'. The question still stands, why would he have a grappling hook and liquid cable on a moisture farm, but it might have been to do things like help tow heavy equipment around.

LOL as long as we have one I won't ask where it came from if you don't.  Also Nerd Cafe does sound cool.

I agree Old Fossil, it is a rough month for finding free time to post.

YAY Ms Shira, Imperial Rave lol :)

Oh, also TwoOneBee posted, that silly old droid.

Mark Hamill is the best of us.

Also! Celes isn't in any sort of position to help with repairing stuff. She'd be rolling with 2D vs a 15, and that isn't a winning proposition. Anyone else care to handle this one? :D

I agree Celes and Old Fossil, Mark Hanill is amazing.  I've watched so many interviews with him and each time I'm more impressed.  He's a true nerdy fanboy at heart, smart and funny, an engaging storyteller and talented actor,.  Um, well the doctor has a 3D in general Technical I guess he can give it a try.  What does Shira or Emessee have?

Time to see clearly and be awesome to each other! :D

Also, real quick, I'm actually not sure what's going on with the extendable bridge. I don't know where that is on the map or where we're actually trying to go. Can we just walk over to the technicians and to the door beyond them, or are we doing something else?

Happy New Year everyone (although I am beginning to wish I kept the receipt on 2020)! :-)

I hope every one has had a happy holiday season.  I am sorry I have been away so long.  I must have been on an eggnog bender.    My eBay business is picking up and while that is good news, I have had to curtail my online gaming.  This game was one of the few I have kept.

I've also seen Rise of Skywalker and I am glad to have lived long enough to see this forty-two year-old story to its conclusion.

I should post IC tomorrow.  I will admit I am having a little trouble understanding the situation myself.  As I grok it, there is a panel Blissex can fiddle with to your advantage but the bridge is retracted and needs fixing.   However, I am not terribly enamoured of this encounter and am willing to gloss over it if y'all wish.

Certainly I could be generous in rules and situation judgement.

Let me know what y'all think...

The Cantina, Part II (the OOC thread)

I haven't seen Rise of Skywalker yet, but I do know a few of its main story elements.  I too am glad to have lived long enough to see the Star Wars story come to a conclusion.  I am glad your eBay business is doing well Old Fossil, and I am likewise very glad you chose to find time to keep our story going, that means a lot to me my friend.

I shall post tomorrow, I am just getting over my 53rd birthday actually.  Being old, I took the night off and just had a relaxing day at home.  I am too darned old to want birthday cakes or parties or too big a fuss on my account, so I was quite content to just sit my old butt down and enjoy a cup of tea and complain as old men are supposed to do.

I don't dislike this encounter, its sort of nostalgic for me, reminiscent of the original movie and the heroes iconic escape from the Death Star against impossible odds and with great sacrifice.  I'm just sorry my tech rolls sucked so badly, but droids are designed to excel in certain areas and TwoOneBees definitely isn't engineering lol.

I am grateful for the extra 1D for this dexterity roll, it gives me some hope I might make it.  Again physicality is not the doctor's strong suit, but that's what makes it challenging after all, which an encounter should be.  Still it is a thrill to make the important, 'I'd rather not die please', rolls once in awhile.

Let me go and roll that DEX roll now then.

P.S: Also pass the eggnog please Old Fossil sir, I have some dark Jamaican rum that needs a friend :)

P.P.S: YAY Shira post, I always look forward to those my friend, they make me smile.

Hi, hello, greet, I am alive for the most part. Returned from helping run a show at a convention, and have been taking time to recover. Also I bought a guitar. I should be good to post sometime soon, just not sure when.

EDIT: Oh, also don't forget that we can expend Character Points to add dice to a roll, even if we've already made the roll and failed.

Hm. Well, we should be awarded around 10-15 per adventure, which I believe we got after rescuing the Force Planet, and can potentially get CP rewards during adventures as well (which might work better for PbP). Do we have any CP left over from the first stack we got?
