This is for In Character messages- text, or whatever- to the entire group.

Messaging specifically character to character can best be done with PM's.

Luminous replies to the group chat:

I know how to pronounce Smörgåsbord and Ikea, that's about it. Is this related to our missing Troll?

"Apparently the majority of them are from Scandinavia. There may be a language barrier. I'm compiling a reasonable list of phrases as such for better communication."

May I suggest 'Please stop eating that goose, good sir!'? Are geese normally part of a Troll diet anyway?

"See a lot cross referencing a possible Troll King. Might be a good angle in conversation if we make contact...As for the speaking part, We've got about five different dialects that could be a possibility. My German's decent, but I'm gathering what I can on these particular languages to help with eliminating any cultural "misunderstanding".

We might want to look into Norwegian if these delayed flights from Norwegian Airlines are related? On our side we're having a hold up. Some police at Jamaica Bay, the original scene of the crime. We're checking it out. Keeping you updated.

Possible sighting of the troll near Zoonabelle's housing. Checking it out with Jake as we speak. If we don't update shortly, send back-up.

"Use Norwegian for sure. The Troll will more than likely know English, but using his dialect could win him over. They are also very committed to their monarchy and clans. Making reference to such could surprise him and garner respect."

"Evaline is here as well, so we'll be able to research more quickly."

Luminous' reply was unusually short.

Found recent footprints, likely found Troll. Could use phrases ASAP.

Hello, We are here to help you.

Hei, vi er her for å hjelpe deg.

Where have you come from?

Hvor kommer du fra?

Are you separated from your clan?

Er du skilt fra klanen din?

Begging your pardon, but why are you eating geese?

Unnskyld meg , men hvorfor er du spiser gjess?

If you would like to accompany us, we can take you to a safer place among your kind.

Hvis du ønsker å følge oss , kan vi ta deg med til et tryggere sted mellom din type

Please don't eat us. We are not geese.

Vennligst ikke spise oss . Vi er ikke gjess.

Also enclosed are pointers on pronunciation and translation as well as the more common yes and no phrases.

"Once you've established a positive dialogue, you should be able to speak English to them well enough. Do try to make mention of the command structure. We can try to get him in touch with the leading Troll here. They are very respectful of such.

Extreme caution. I'll need an idea of what this troll does. He's not in line with the locals. He might be a special case.

You're a star, Julian. And thanks for the heads-up, Winston. I'll try to stay focused on how it can kill us in a single blow, wasn't worrying about that enough already. Jake and I are going in now.

No danger for now but we found a note left by the Troll who ate the goose. We're probably looking at two Trolls, one of them the son of the Troll King, who might be in danger? Or a danger. Either one. Does anybody know the significance of old yew in Troll culture?

OOC: not sure if everybody would have recieved the messages about the runes so I'm summarizing.

More runes discovered at decorated Xmas tree. Sketched diagram and runes for study. Saw someone who might know something. In pursuit.
