Sorchas face dropped as she realised she hadn't introduced herself. "Oh....how rude of me! I totally forgot to introduce myself. I'm Sorcha Maclean "Speaks for the silent" a Fostern Philodox of the White Howlers. I'm sure I could help you out with some reasonable strategies against the Silver Fangs, I used to be one after all. It'll be totally awesome to put one in their faces. Ummmm, which one is the alpha and how do we address you?" she bowed "And although we arrived without much notice or announcing our presence, We would like to thank you for your hospitality and nderstanding."

"That would be great," the Warder said, somewhat relieved. "Al, why don't you show them around and we'll all meet for dinner and a talk. I'm certainly interested in hearing your story."

The kinfolk in the back took all this in. She picked up a phone and spoke quietly into it.

Al nodded in agreement. "We welcome all Garou here, but in the past some have come here to steal our kinwolves. We won't let that happen again."

He led the group out into the park. There were a couple of very large enclosures that held wolves in one and bison in another. Al pointed out the bison from a distance; he explained that they might panic at the sight of the pack. There were smaller enclosures with a few wolves in them as well as foxes and coyotes.

The pack was told to stay in human form so as not to trigger territorial instincts in the wolves, and were introduced to quite a number of them. The wolves were comfortable around people, although a few were shy. They reacted well to all the pack members, but best to Breaks. Al could talk about each one's family and personality; all the wolves greeted him happily.

Al pointed to an island called Turtle Island, in the middle of the largest enclosure. That was the location of the caern. He explained that the sept leader, like most Garou, were sticklers for tradition- and that they offer a formal introduction and be sure not to even joke about breaking any of the Laws.

OOC: Any questions for Al? Anything to do before dinner?

Aleta looks at Al "I admit I am weak on the traditions as I was originally raised by Glasswalkers. Not your most traditional types. I will not joke then. Can I take pictures then?" She does take pictures with her cell phone at time.

Al shook his head, "Not even the most progressive Garou will go for that. There's a chance they could fall into the wrong hands and the Veil must be protected."

"We're just called Wolf Park Sept," Al explained. "Our patron is Unicorn. Unicorn doesn't approve of violence between Garou for any reason, so we've had to rely on diplomacy to keep ourselves and our territory safe. It's not always easy."

A few hours later, Al brought them to Turtle Island via the spirit-world where there was a land bridge connecting the island and mainland. The sept was made up of about a dozen Garou, mostly Children of Gaia except for a Shadow Lord Fostern Philodox and, oddly, a Wendigo Ragabash. The sept leader was an Adren Child of Gaia Philodox, Guards-the-Future. Although they were not present, Al told the pack that there were quite a few kinfolk who helped them with everything. Without the kinfolk, they wouldn't be able to keep the park running as well as the sept.

A simple dinner had been set up to welcome the pack and everyone was introduced. Sorcha noticed that the tradition of the highest ranked eating first was followed here- although the alpha didn't take any more than might be considered a fair share. Still, it made it easy to see who was who. Samuel took a bit of each of the pack's food and offered it to Unicorn. This went over well with the sept Garou.

There was universal curiosity about the claim that the pack were White Howlers. A few seemed skeptical, but for most hospitality meant being polite about their claims. If things went as they normally did at sept gatherings, the pack Galliards would be asked to tell their story.

Dinner was only half-way over when a commanding howl requested admittance to the Wolf Park territory. It was just this side of polite- more a demand than a request. The howl announced the newcomers as Silver Fangs of the pack Luka's Way.

There was an immediate uproar as different sept members reacted with worry, anger, and outrage. Al told the pack that these were the Silver Fang who had wanted to take their kinwolves.

OOC: Holding a bit here in case anyone wants to do/say anything.

Aleta looks at Al "Do you want our help in dealing with these Silver fangs?" she would not want to get into an argument or fight with out asking first. She hoped to deal with them with talk but it might not be possible.

The sept leader nodded to Aleta and Sasha. "I'd appreciate your presence at least. They may be less likely to do anything with witnesses."

The warder called back, inviting the Silver Fangs to announce themselves and enter.

The Silver Fang pack was made up a perfect circle of 1 auspice each, all male, all Adren. Each had "Luka" as part of their name. Their introduction was formal and precise, but not quite as polite as it should have been.

The Warder sent off his pack to watch over the kinwolves, just in case.

A few minutes later, the Silver Fang pack walked in, looking like they owned the place.

The alpha, Claws-of-Luka, spoke directly to the sept leader. "We have come for what is our due. If you do not agree, we will take what is our due."

This started a literal stand-off between the two groups. If the sept leader had wanted to try diplomacy, it wasn't going to work.

Samuel quietly told the others that with Unicorn as a totem, they wouldn't be able to fight other Garou without losing her favor.

Aleta steps up, maybe negotiations are not done yet "Excuse me, but I think your being awful rude just walking in here like this. Oh, I am Aleta and was born on 2 cute little legs. I am a Moon dancer and I was a Glasswalker. Now I am a White Howler. Nice to meet you" she says with a mischievous smile.

"I am Adren. This is none of your business."

"Of course, we would never think of involving ourselves in your business, but we were just about to sit with our hosts for a meal.  I can see there is some obvious tension in the air.  Please, let's all sit together and work this out.  We are all reasonable wolves here and not squabbling cubs.  I'm sure there is an alternative answer to this problem."

Sorcha looked at the elder for approval before stepping forwards "This cearn and its leaders know of the greatness of Luka and all of his kin and bid them join us. We wonder what services those such as ourselves might be able to perform for those endowed with the name of Luka to help them in their war against the Wyrm in all of its forms and guises."

Claws-of-Luka's expression was one of someone ready for a fight; he was disarmed by Muraco's diplomatic offer and mollified by Sorcha's words. For a moment, he wasn't sure how to respond, then he nodded, "We are grateful for the hospitality of the Wolf Park Sept." The other Silver Fang followed their alpha's lead, but the one identified as the Ragabash looked a little suspicious.

The sept members looked to their sept leader; at his indication, they rearranged the food and settings to accommodate the larger group. Sorcha noticed that this setup was a more formal one, with certain positions set in certain places unlike the casual original setup.

The Silver Fang and pack were both seated as guests of honor.

As was formally required, talk about kinwolves and their dispute was set aside as introductions were made and food served. There were numerous looks of disbelief when "White Howlers" were mentioned, but it wasn't the proper time to question that, so no one said anything.

Food was served in the order of status with the sept totem first (with the Silver Fang pack making their own offering), then the Silver Fang pack, then the Howler pack, then the sept members. Although there wasn't much and it wasn't elaborate, the Silver Fang accepted the food graciously and politely.

Finally, though, it became time for answers. "We would all like to hear how it is that the White Howlers have reformed. There has been no word of this throughout the Nation," the Silver Fang alpha said.

As the silence continued, the Silver Fang looked around the group, "Surely you have a Galliard to tell your story."

Aleta stands "We have followed spirits to prove our worth and then we were contacted by Lion" she tells of the high lights of their adventures and meeting Lion. She tells of how they bonded and learned to work together. "As a city girl I have learned a lot more about the wilderness and now I am at home anywhere. And we are now a new pack, one that will aid the world" She tells how they formed the pack, what would be good to say.

As Aleta finished, a lion's roar echoed through the clearing. The sept Garou looked impressed, but the Silver Fangs looked skeptical.

"Do you plan to return the White Howlers to the world? Retake their territory? Rebuild their culture?" the Silver Fang alpha said. "What will stop the Black Spiral Dancers from destroying you once they find out that you exist? How can you be sure you will not go where they did?"

Muraco puts his hands up try to ease the tension.
"Woah.  Slow down.  We only just met and were accepted by Lion about a month ago.  I'm sure he has plans for us, but it's a slow and long road ahead.  I'm sure Lion wants to regain his former stature within the garou nation, but to make sure we, as the White Howlers, don't go down the same path to the Wyrm some things will have to change.  We don't know what that is yet.  Certainly, Lion will give us the guidance we need."

Sorcha held up a hand "We don't know what plans Gaia has for the white howlers reformed....but the world changes as it spins, every day something new happens. At one point in Silver Fang history, they would never have fallen to infighting, as the Austere Howl were destroyed....and even as the end of times approaches." Sorcha walked forward "And to see you here trying to force those beneath you to acquiesce to your demands. I wonder what Falcon might say to that. The depths to which Luka and his kin have fallen. What stories will be sung of the bravery of the Silver Fangs that they must harass a unicorn pack to show their might."

She remained silent but for only a moment before indicating the others with her head "We are new. Gaia recognises the time approaching and asks for Garou to stand beside Garou. The end times are approaching. The need for all tribes to stand together to fight it is upon us. I ask you as my brother to join us, to stand beside us. If one thing is certain, it is that the black spiral dancers will see what we are and despise us, for we are pure as they were once, before they were claimed by the Wyrm. All of us are survivors. Each and every one, and from places that others could not tolerate. The thing making us strong is the fact that no matter what, under no circumstances...will we" Sorcha voice turned forceful "ever give up. You all have proud names. Names earned in the fury of the fight with the wyrm. Be the warriors once more."
