Then the active players can ask questions and climb on board. Any more than 2 days since your last post and it is time to move forward.

Yeah, I hear you, and it was my plan to do that anywoo as the beginning bit is getting long in the tooth.
But I did want characters to have some interaction beforehand.

A serious family emergency cropped up and I have been scrambling to make appointments and sort out paper work and get things sorted. Things are finally getting back to normal. I am just going to do a Samurai after all since Deckers tend to be absolutely essential to the planning on any mission they are on. So if this problem flares up again and I wind up busy again at least I won’t hold things up. I’ll have it all set tomorrow.

RL crops up and smacks all of us eventually. Best of luck and favor where you need it with that situation.

Instead of being packed with Cyberware I went all in favour of Bioware. Not the greatest samurai in raw power but can take a beating like no ones business, and more important for the most part can't be Decked out of the fight. Firing the concept alongside it in the morning.
He is coming back in from the woods...
Thus explaining his absence for a bit.
I haven’t picked up a lifestyle yet in case people had plans for shacking up in groups/teams. So long as you can put up with a guy who really likes his hikes, fresh game meat, and eventually some suspiciously lupine dogs. Strangely he cleans up well though, not dedicated face well, but enough to survive a social encounter or two.

And so will that long walk from the woods through Lockdown lol.

Thu 18 Jul 2019 at 14:51 | Re: OOC Thread #2The version of Bean for the first iteration of this game was exactly that: "all-natural" street sam. It's pricey, but you save a ton of essence. I think she would have been effective in combat, and could also hold her own in low-level social encounters (exactly what you'd want from a bodyguard).

Yeah, having someone with social skills, looks and able to kick butt and take names is always good for a bodyguard. Or fixer. Johnson. Bouncer. Loads of good jobs for those sorts of folks. :)

The bigger thing being I got a minimal matrix presence and a lot more Essence so I can avoid the usual ways of shutting down an OP Samurai with spells or matrix attacks. My other main focus was on all the sensory bioware, so I got all five senses sharpened to amazing degree, so I can bloodhound people even through the big city...
@Bean: Thanks to a comment from someone I am actually heavily debating taking the hit to Edge to switch from Human to Elf which would actually bump me to being much closer to that. Not socially competent per say but socially passable for the most part.
@Chromium: Avoiding the NAN for my character. I am a Canadian in IRL and the amount I know and deal with Native stuff puts playing the character just on the edge of comfort. No problems with other people doing it just a bit odd for me personally.

The only thing I need to spend cash on is lifestyle and I wanted to figure out if we were doing advanced or basic and if anyone wants a shared lifestyle.

Or if you consider cramped quarters or dangerous location, that reduces the lifestyle cost a bit.

Chromium would be thrilled to split living costs! He is desperate to save as much money as he can....want to PM me Oberon and we can work out the details?

I worked out a nominal working relationship with one person. A more personal one with a roommate would give me another. Gives me a reasonable way to jump into the game I someone calls me up rather than just showing up at a job.
@Chromium: I could picture the pair of Samurai under one roof would wind up being the like Tony Randall and Jack Klugman in the Odd Couple. It’ll be amusing as all heck!
@Keys: We’ll see where it goes then man!
