Re: OOC Thread.
I'm just trying to work out where to spend my starting karma.

I'm thinking it will be a massive pile of rank 1 knowledge skills, giving me a very broad range on various topics, helped by stats and mnemonic enhancer. 8 dice rolled on a skill 1 check isn't too shabby, when it's for only 1 karma.

Mnemonic enhancers are delicious.

On Lily's part, she has the Linguist power and bigass Intuition, so she can reasonably claim to be a complete polyglot (even though linguasofts can cover that).

Well, it seems we might need two things.  A driver an a little more muscle.  I am content to play both (not a full fledged rigger btw, just someone who is good at getting us the hell out of dodge.

In reply to Iris (msg # 293):
I am a cybered up troll with a big axe, so chalk me up as "muscle" I suppose, haha!

Riggers tend to end up as muscle because a rigger with a drone battalion can put all the sams out of work at once.

Also, Tiger Lily uses automatics and unarmed combat, for what it's worth.

Re: OOC Thread.
Hey folks.  I tripped over a sign yesterday and wrecked one of my knees and sprained a wrist.  I need a couple of days to get to the point of being able to type without pain.  I'm still going to log in and I can slowly answer questions.

My mom was hospitalized recently for a torn ligament so I understand your situation. Get well soon!

Re: OOC Thread.
Oh damn. Talk about bad luck there. Well take your time and get better. Typing like that is no fun at all.

As for the conversation about characters, originally I was built as a solid Ork mercenary type, filling in a need for street sam. I'm willing to keep the same role, but if as Iris stated a gun bunny is more necessary I can roll one up instead. I'd be excited to run either.

Adding on:
I've never really conceptualized an engaging driver. I'd have to play around to see if I could work a concept for rigger/driver I could get behind. I'll put a little time into the idea if you're leaning towards the more muscley spots.

I think I will go straight rigger.  I really like what they did with them in this edition.

Re: OOC Thread.
Riggers can be fun. They're super nuyen intensive, but the things you can do with drones and assault rifles...bloody work. Definitely need the Rigger 5.0 book to reach their potential, especially if you're interested in vehicle stuff. The mods in there make everything so much more customizable and effective.

Re: OOC Thread.
Okay, I am over my injuries and dodged a nasty cold.  I am going to start pruning the game, cutting out old players and threads so we can have a tidier game.

Anyone else interested in playing just needs to speak up.  Give me a holler!

I am still on board, I have two concepts built for you to look at.  I was waiting to submit them until you were feeling better.  Will submit them later tonight.

I'm still in, just keeping quiet while I figure out what Cipher's "second thing they're good at" is, since we have a ton of face-ish folks. Still gonna hack, though.

@Keys: Take its Skills A then? My original version was but I've not taken it at C this time round.
But with Jack of All Trades I intend to broaden my range of skills as the game gets on :)

@Cipher: What about physical infiltration? I imagine you will have Hardware, so Lockpicking to go with it for non-matrix security? Stealth to get around sites so you can hack on site?

I'd forgotten that I did some entertaining things with sum-to-10 on Bean. She's skillsy enough, but pretty tightly focused around her job.
