Re: (IC) The Quest Begins!

Dreamljocht walks with the halfling to the kitchen; he rests his hand lightly on the shoulder of the halfling as to be sure that he doesn't turn invisible again.

Re: (IC) The Quest Begins!

The Hafling looks around the kitchen, and when he finds nothing amiss, he'll go about making himself a modest breakfast of eggs, salad, sausages, and any mead he can find. While doing so, he talks to the Elf "So, would you mind telling me about you and your friends? if we're gonna be traveling companions, we might as well get to know each other."

Go running into my kitchen-or try- and apprarently you want to see what I got when yer not wanted in the kitchen. Have you not been to a bloody tavern? Leave. Now."

Re: (IC) The Quest Begins!

"Yah need to bloody asked instead of wandering around like a lost puppy." The dwarves hands tensed up "Yeh need tak learned a lesson. Would yah want someone yah didn't know walkin' into yer home looking for food without asking? No." He wipes off his beard. He grumbles under his breath.

The rogue watches the two of them going at it and since he's not friends with either one, he leans against the wall watching. Once its dealt with, Sam steps in front of Haile and the cub like a protector. Just a simple nod to the angry dwarf before he steps out once everyone else leaves minus the dwarf.

Dreamljocht looks a bit surprised when the dwarf reacts so hostike upon their walk to the kitchen: "You just asked where your comrads were? And we were to look in the kitchen for you, as we did see no one outside or in yet. But please, master dwarf, don't be angry; we'll stay away from your kitchen and you can look for yourself if your folk is there."

Re: (IC) The Quest Begins!

The change in Filivum is as drastic, as can be. He does a somersault to land near the dwarf, and electrical sparks can be seen between his fingers, where he holds the dwarf's beard. "I've had enough of your whining MISTRESS DWARF! I AM leaving these premises, because I would not tolerate a buffon such as yourself, but a single word out of place, and I will singe that beard off your face, and leave you as smooth as a baby's butt." And he winks at the elf.

"I'd like to see you try you no good son of a troll's butt. You walked in here, actin' like you owned the place and when I spoked up yah got all defensive! I think yer mom didn't ween yah long enough and didn't teach you a damn thing about walking in and doing what yer been doing! GET OUT!" The dwarf roars at everyone and doesn't seem even remotlely phased by the halflings jest and attempted at anything. He slames the halflings hands down, being a lot stronger and send him sailing back across the room but he stops easily enough.

"GET OUT! Or I will show you a thing or two you won't forget! If you think you can throw yourself at me and me beard try it again!"

Sam glances at the cleric and sorceror "Let's leave. No need to show off. Dwarves aren't smart to mess with. You do it, your on your own." He seems serious as he stares at the sorceror.

Re: (IC) The Quest Begins!

The dwarf growls, takes the money and slams the door behind them as they leave.

Outside, its a bit cold but decent. Sam watches the sorcerer, and climbs up on the wagon. The horses get a bit skittish around him. He then watches the cleric but he is silent. With all that happened he doesn't try to talk-last time with some others he did just that and everyone turned. Yet the cleric is different. Maybe.

The wagon pushes on ahead, Sam offering to carry the cub so it is easier for Haile to ride. Seems the halfling has a horse as well. Forest and more forest lining the road. It gets steep at times and circles towards the north. Nothing pops out. A few hours pass and something seems to be in the center of the road.

Dreamljocht rides on the cart, his thoughts more on the last couple of days as it seems almost impossible as a group to function socially well outside battle.

Re: (IC) The Quest Begins!

The ranger slips off her horse and tosses the reins up to Sam who catches them. She pulls out her bow, nocking a arrow and motions for the sorcerer to stay behind the wagon probably for cover. Sam watches what is going on, but remains on the wagon. As the cleric slowly rides along he stops. Haile gets closer, watching the area and as she gets close she stops "Its the dog. But where is Dove and Jem?"

As much as Sam didn't like them-they did help. Their personalities didn't mess and everyone back Dove. He moves the wagon closer and slips off "You think he is still alive?" His eyes dart to the cleric then back to the ranger. The rogue watches the area.

Curious Dreamljocht looks at what's on the road. His hand on his scimitar he steps down and walks slowly down the road, scanning the shoulders of the road for anything dangerously. When he comes at the dog, he kneels and feels for a beating heart or any other sign of life.

"Dead, but no sign of outside wounds. I don't know what killed him. But Jem would not let his companion and mount lay here on the road without any care. I fear for more trouble for the halfling." Stil kneeling, Dreamljocht scans the surrounding countryside fo a sign of the halfling.

Dreamljocht stands besides the dog. He starts walking in a spiral pattern around the dead animal, looking for tracks or any sign of the living or dead halfling. His weapon in his hand and all his senses on high alert for signs of trouble.

Re: (IC) The Quest Begins!

There seems to be no sign of the halfling or aasimar. But there are tracks, two sets heading into the forest. Getting the wagon through would be pretty tough but could be left on the side of the road. Sam stares at the dead dog and glances at the others "As much as I don't want to follow the tracks, we will. Save them and what then? Have them turn on me all over again for defending the cub against someone we just -met-?" Sam lets it out. He glances at the cleric and wants to say something to him but stops and turns as he sees the sorcerer "There's no dwarves here so you can come out." Wise guy.

Dreamljocht feels Sam frustration bristling in the air. "I can't let them be in mortal danger without a try to rescue them, even if they are not our companions anymore. But if we meet again, what I hope, I 'll stand for you, Sam, so there will be no name calling or abuse between them and you."
Dreamljocht extends his searching pattern.

Re: (IC) The Quest Begins!

"And it will start over again. You will take their side for some unknown reason. I will help of course but if we find them and I sense even a hint I will not hold back. You stand there willing to let them kill a cub and attempt to push me out of the group because its right? Is that what you wanted?" The rogue lets him have it. He is definatly not holding back "Stand for me like you did before? When? I saw no signs of it. They wanted to use me. Now they need me. Ironic." He finally relaxes "She threatened a cub and threatened to burn me. Doesn't that go against your code? And the cavalier turned." His voice is serious but he calms down and takes a deep breath and glances at the sorceror "There's no dwarf. Your safe." Perhaps some witty banter between Sam and Fili? Hard to tell where he stands but the halfling seems amusing. He seems to tense up as the ranger gets close and finally chills out. Something about her....
