"Hey, critter!  Leave the pretty Elf alone!" Tyrael shouted as she wound up another powerful swing, this time connecting with the creature.

Dream and Ty both connect solidly as the flames from the halfling sear into the gargoyle. Sam's attack does nothing, frustrating him.

Cracking forms all around the gargoyle. It looks at Ty and attacks! Two claws rip into the flesh of the fighter but his jaws miss.

The other gargolye drops down behind Ty and attacks with a claw but misses!

Taking a deep breath, Haile fires two more! It sinks into the chest of the hurt creature and it falls to the ground shattering! The other attack misses!

Anton smiles as the one Gargoyle drops.  He then turns his attention to the other one that has now dropped behind Ty summoning another Fiery Ray.

As the first gargoyle crumbles to dust, Dreamljocht turns his attention to the second on. From the  open palm of his left hand springs forth a golden ray of sunlight, aimed at the second creatue.
the creature is highlighted when the ray hits it, dust whirling from his body where the light hits.

Tyrael drew in a sharp breath as as he felt the gargoyles claws pierce her armor and flesh.  Hailes arrows end it existence, freeing up Tyri to turn her attention to the new one.  She turned and maneuvered to the side to try and flank the newcomer with Dream and Sam, swinging her longsword into it.

Moving to flank the fighter, Sam goes to sink his blade into the beast harming him.

It stares at the fighter and swings its claws and tries to sink its bite against her! Its claws rip into Ty!

The pain from the gargoyles claws was not insignificant, and Tyrael cursed loudly.  The fresh pain caused her next strike to miss.

Dreamljocht attacks the last standing gargoyle with his scimitar, trying to bring the down for once and for all. He isn't completely sure if he hits the monster enough, but some dust blows from the stony hide.

The clerics hit and that of the well time attack from the sorcerer ended the fight as the gargoyle fell to the ground just like the other and its body smashed apart. Sam takes a deep breath and watches this strange halfling for the moment. The ranger comes out, almost out of arrows and goes to the rogue, crossing her arms. Haile pauses and asks the halfling "Hey. Who are you?"

Once the creature drops to the ground and is no longer a threat, Anton will brush himself off and look to the Haile with some frustration.  "Who am I?  Why, I'm Anton.  Anton LeVay to be precise.  A practitioner of the magical arts.  I was looking for some shelter from the weather in the church when I saw your wagons & horses.  I didn't sign up for any trouble.

And who might all of you be since we're asking questions?"

Anton is a little irritated and people might detect a little bit of a condescending attitude about him.

Lovely. Another person that Sam will end up hating. Definatly a cocky attitude but maybe thats what the group needs-another cocky person other then himself. That is if the rogue even talks. Sam sheathes his kurkis somewhere on his body-one minute they are in his hands and the next they are gone. He just turns and walks over the wagon, looking at it from the rear side and leaning in to do something. He just lets the others deal with Anton.

"I didn't sign up for any trouble either."  Tyrael said, frowning as she touched the last spot where the gargoyle attacked her.  She was bleeding a bit and the spot was tender.  "I wanted a nice walk through the woods, a bag of gold at the end of it, and some new drinking fellows."

"You okay, Dream?  Sam?"  She looked around at her new companions to see how badly injured they all were.  Her eyes landed on Anton and she sighed.  "Sorry Anton...I get testy when claws rip through my newly repaired surcoat and my skin.  How are you doing?  Okay?"

"I'll heal the wounds. Anton and Tyrael, come closer, so that I can heal us in one wave. Anyone else wounded? Sam, Hailie?"
When all wounded are gathered around Dreamljocht, he casts a wave of healing energy that closes most wounds completely. Only Tyrael seems tp have some minor scrathces left. To heal him completely too, Dreamljocht casts one spell of Cure Light Wounds on the fighter.

Dreamljocht rolled 17 using 3d8.  Channel energy.

"Well, it sounds like we share the same ambitions on how our days should have went!"

Anton seems to relax his attitude down a notch and then continues to address Tyrael, "Nevermind!  I tend to get a bit feisty myself when things start ripping through me and my attire as well.  I'll be better if I can find some place warm to get my bones warmed up.  I'm only around 40 pounds, not much insulation if you get my drift?  If you don't mind, could we go inside and see about a fire?  We can speak in there?  I am OK otherwise, thank you young lady!"

Anton will move towards the Cleric to accept the healing, bringing him back to full hit points.  "Thank you!"

Tyrael thanked Dream, giving the Elf a light touch on his shoulder.  She gave a few twists and stretches to feel herself move without the pain from wounds as she turned to Anton.  "Well, I don't know how much warmer the inside of an old church is going to be.  There's no fire and I doubt that anyone is keeping it hospitable, at least from what I've seen."

"Well, at least inside this church, I can keep the wind and snow off of me.  I have the capability to start and maintain a fire to keep me plenty warm than out here.  I don't plan on an extended stay here, just wanted to get out of the weather and escape, umm, I mean warm up for a time," Anton says to the group of people he just ran into.

The rogue gets the wagon closer to the church. He drops down, gets a small unknown object within his arm with a blanket covered it and takes his other hand and goes to bring Peto into the church (the horse that is). Haile nods her head and follows after him. She sits down and takes the bundle object, Peto at her side. He goes to get the other horses and brings them inside as well yet they seem really skittish towards Sam for some unknwo reason. He seems to looke like a human boy....

Sam and Haile doesn't look hurt. He grabs another quiver and puts it next to the ranger then goes over to the gate leading somewhere into the darkness and tries to get it to be locked which he does with some old metal wiring. Should hold. Sam grabs some tinder and small bits of wood and place them in the center of the church. He sits down on the ground near Haile, watching this strange halfling. Haile shifts the odd object and looks down upon it.

Anton moves himself into the churches interior and drops his pack near where (Sam) the gruff looking rogue appears to be working on starting a fire.  "Do you require help?" he asks of him.

Dreamljocht looks around outside once more, looking at the slain monsters especially as they were the first gargoyles he had encountered.
He takes note of the preparations from Sam for a camp inside the church. He calls out to the rogue: "Good idea Sam, Better for the horses too, and their warmth will help to keep the cold at bay."

When everything outside seems normal and no eminent danger a foot, he enters the church and makes a comfortable place near the fire or the horses for the night. When ready, he searches the church again, standing at the bottom of the stairs to the second floor, looking up. "Should we control the upper floor before we take a rest?"

Tyrael had only relaxed a little after the fight with the gargoyles.  While Sam set up the fire, Tyri was eying the stairs going up.  "Dream." she said to the Cleric, coming up to stand beside him, shield and sword in hand.  "Let's check out the upper floors while Sam sets up the fire.  My mind is not at ease just yet."

"Nothing is there." Sam glances at Ty and Dream but they will probably take a look anyways because who trust the rogue? He glances at the halfling, crossings his arms as he sits there.

Anton folds his arms in front of him, "Hmm, I guess that's a no."


Anton will turn to Ty & Dream, "Would you like some help?  It appears I'm not needed for fire building down here?"

Why is it no one bothered to ask Sam? He checked and told them but it was ignored. The fiery halfling doesn't seem to want to help so the rogue finally gets it lit "I told you there is nothing up there. Use your ears." Wow. Someone is being rather snippy. Course facing off against two gargoyles will do that to you. Outside a church "Old pews. That's it. Place for a bell." He glances at Haile who seems to be asleep on one of the pews down here, something snuggled up on her. Sam seems protective over her.

The firelight seems soothing.
