Fuzzy: The Dragons Den : El & Andalon's table

Adoven saunters over. "About time you two made it here. Still haven't shaken off your sea legs, have you? That gnomish woman is impressive with her blades. Might be a fencing master....certainly I think I can learn a thing or two from her. Now, I know we didn't come away from that last adventure with much beyond our health, but I think Henry is still thinking of rewarding us for braving the dangers of that haunted island. Tell me, El. Have you given any thought to what sort of business venture you might like to invest in here in Tusk? We at V&A shipping are always looking for more short-term investors, and in most cases we can pay interest on your investment within 3 to 6 months. Just something to think about."

Andalon smiled at Adoven's questions. Always the businessman, that young man, which any cleric of Abadar worthy of the position would acknowledge as an excellent attribute and deserving of encouragement.

"Do you and Quinn already have any plans to invest or develop a business together, El? Quinn didn't really seem all that comfortable on the boat or when confronted by that swarm on the island. Do you know whether he will be going adventuring again or would he prefer to set up in business here in town?" he asked El. "I presume you will accept a position with one of Lord Henry's exploration teams again if it is offered?"

El returned, drinks in hand to questions all around and gave a shrug of her shoulders as she placed one down and than the other, then claimed a seat.

"Quinn isn't so much the type for travel. I'm sure he'll beg off for the next go round and honestly, I'll be all the better for it." She raised the mug to her lips and then drew a long smile. "Not that I don't mind having the eye candy along, to be sure, but Quinn prefers his magic tinkering and I prefer to play with something a bit more dangerous, if you understand my meaning." She placed the mug back to the table, then turned towards Adovan and considered.

"To be honest, I haven't given too much thought as to my own ventures. Of course, I'll support whatever it is Quinn wishes to do, but I'm no shopkeeper. I've always preferred a little more excitement than the crack of a bell when a new customer walks in. But if you are looking for a bit of coin to borrow, I might consider it. You've got a good head on your shoulders after all, and if I'm to make any sort of headway among the local merchants I'll need to get my hand in the game sooner rather than later." she ran a finger across her brow and quirked a smile.

"To be honest, I thought there would be more of a guard here when I first arrived. I didn't realize I would be among the start of it. There is something refreshing about the thought of new law and new ways to invoke and uphold that law, but yes, to answer your previous inquiry Andalon, I'll likely re-up for the next outing and perhaps the next after that, Lord Henry willing of course." But she shook her head and gave off a laugh, "But enough of my prattling, tell me more of your own ventures, more of your own spoils and I might be willing to part with more of my coin than say, a mere pints worth of ale."

Adoven laughs."I'm not much of a shopkeeper either, but I found I have a gift for talking to people. Sometimes I can convince people to change their minds, either through logic and emotional sympathy, or flat-out lying. I'll admit, I'm no saint, nor is Viktoria. But, El, you've been exploring with me and Quinn for most of a year now....there's little I've done that you don't already have seen with your own eyes. Admittedly, Vik and I spent a few months hunting river pirates before Henry gave us our charters. Vik is content to run the business, and with her family ties, I trust that most everything is above board. I still like the exploration we're doing, and finding new resources to exploit. V & A is expanding into the role of a major contributor to Tusk's financial lifeblood. So here's what we can do. If you can loan me some workers and supplies (1 bp),  I can get some more fishing boats built,  and possibly expand the jetty to a pier.  I plan to establish a trade route with Ringbridge within the next 6 to 9 months. I can pay you back with 50% interest over the next 6 months . I just need to check with Mayor Mordane."

Fuzzy: The Dragons Den : El & Andalon's table

"We are none of us Saints," She stated, lifting her mug to her lips and considered, "With the exception of our friend Andalon, here." She grinned into her mug and looked sideways before lowering it back to the table.

"You are right, though. I've traveled with you enough to know your way and know you've a good head on your shoulders." She considered, but slowly nodded her head. "Speak with your mayor and if you wish to include me on your venture, I will help you out. Who knows, I may one day seek out a favor of my own. For now, I've no immediate plans that can be put into work and I'm more than willing to earn a return on my investment, rather than letting it sit in my own purse doing nothing."
