This is  what I take from the various suggestions and proposals so far -  and I will add these to my spreadsheet - then get back to you all with the 'balance' position.

I have published it openly -   so that everyone can see, and comment if I have missed out their proposal.

Dang -  I didn't put Cass and his upgrade for the Mithral in the previous lists ....

I get Economy 50, Loyalty 47 and Stability 48.

Swapping the Mill for a Town Hall would give you Econ 49, Loy 48, Stab 49

Re: Fuzzy:  Tusk Development Thread.

"My lord, I've a plan to open a small shop to support spell casters and magic workers, within Tusk," she said to Lord Henry, at an opportune time.

"There's nothing similar there, as I've seen or heard. I'm thinking in the vicinity of the College."    (unless there's some more likely spot)

Putting in my 1 Bean.   Looks like it's already on the chart.

"Ahem." Kendrick looked at Cass, "What was the decision of the council regarding adding additional defenses to the town. It is better to plan ahead, than to react. The men needs resources now."

“Magic is always good to have.” Cass nodded to Alisa and then to Henry. Turning to Kendrick, he added. “The watchtower for the new district will outfit one unit of additional light footmen. The town sword school will provide for an additional unit of footmen, which can be expanded or upgraded once the school becomes a military college or academy. Do you have any immediate plans to expand beyond that?”

"So what do you intend to call his new residential district?" Brother Bart asks, his pen held ready to make a note of the name.

Re: Fuzzy:  Tusk Development Thread.

Cass giggled. “Given that the patrons of the new district have chosen to set themselves apart in an idyllic location away from the rigors of common life, and it suits the theme of Tusk, I think their upscale residences could be considered something of an ivory tower. So I suggest the name Ivory Vale.”

OOC : I am all for opening up new districts as soon as possible, since it does help with zoning. And can be used with a bit of foresight.

As a matter of curiosity, is there a speculated defense number for an area such as New Stetven or Restov as a comparison to where Midmarch currently sits?

Re: Fuzzy:  Tusk Development Thread.

"A lot of cities do seem to have a well known Noble Quarter, so that does seem a logical choice. Of course, those districts are often nicknamed Nob Hill by the rest of the townsfolk. I don't mind that at all and I think a lot of people would enjoy that very familiar joke, so I would be happy for our new district to be called the Noble Quarter," Andalon suggested.

OOC:  I don't have equivalent values for  any other cities, unfortunately.  However, they aren't (perhaps)  quite so vulnerable as Tusk.

In reply to Cass Mordane (msg # 36):

"This is a good start. I am glad that we have set aside construction projects for the defense of our fine city." Kendrick said as he swept his eyes over the map. "I suggest that you set some funds for future projects. I believe that Tusk should also have some light cavalry and ships. In order to ensure that the citizens and business interest are protected, we should expand our patrols to the waterways and roads."

Re: Fuzzy:  Tusk Development Thread.

"I do have a fondness for city walls," Andalon admitted.

"But first, upgrading the barracks to a garrison would accommodate a light cavalry unit in addition to the existing light foot unit there. That would certainly allow us to patrol the surrounding area more regularly. River patrols may be a little further into the future, but certainly something to plan for."

Re: Fuzzy:  Tusk Development Thread.

After checking some figures that Bart passes to him, henry announces, "I am pleased to confirm that Tusk has achieved the agreed criteria for City Status and has a new Cathedral.  As such Cass becomes Lord Mayor, Andalon becomes Treasurer-Dominus while Pipre becomes Councillor-Dominus and Kendrick becomes Marshal-Dominus.  All four of you are now eligible to use the title Lord."

On the TuskFinance.pdf
The Tusk council has Kendrick listed with a mod of 0. That a typo? My uninformed opinion tells me that I should be higher than the Moderator, which has not been filled :)

Re: Fuzzy:  Tusk Development Thread.

That Mod refers to the Stewardship modifier.  However, Marshals and Moderators don't contribute towards that -  Just the Mayor, Treasurer and Councillor.

I have just cleared the cells now -  so they are blank rather than reading 0  :)

Looks good to me, too. I note in your web page on Tusk
http://rp.baileymail.net/doku....n_land:midmarch:tusk
you have said Ivory Hill - A new residential district known as Nob Hill to the locals

Maybe that could be "known as Nob Hill or Ivory Knob to the locals"? And the residents would be "Ivory Nobs". ;o)
