Fuzzy:  Ringbridge Development Thread.  Yr 4714

Note: this thread is semi-IC and semi-OOC.  IC is nice, but feel free to use OOC if you need to.

Ringbridge has two Districts and an outlying bastion.

Ringbridge Main was the first district developed, it is on the river and has many of the towns merchants and general businesses.     (11/20 plots filled)

Ringbridge North was opened recently, and its home to a number of Crafters.    (4/20 plots filled)

Bastion currently consists of a watchtower, but it is hoped that it will develop as military outpost. (1/4 plots filled)

"So far we have agreed a request from a Mr Umberweed, who is both an Alchemist and a Herbalist,  along with a request from Ms Veeliker, who stuffs dead animals, to set up businesses in the North District."  Valoria says looking around the hall of her manor house.

"Is there anyone else who would like to build here in Ringbridge?"

Tobias, of V&A steps forward. "My Lady, V&A would like to expand its operations in and around Ringbridge by adding a Merchant House and a Warehouse. This establishes a Base operation through which we may employ both shipping and land-based trade. "

OOC This costs 2 bp for Merchant House and Warehouse. Gives +2 Economy.
This establishes a Town Base, granting +2 Loyalty/Stability/Economy.

"That sounds fascinating Mr Lodkova and, as you know, we are always pleased to deal with V&A - who we recognise as Midmarch's Premier Shipping House.  However, I think expansion of that type would mean that Ringbridge needs a Town Hall to manage all the new business you will bring us ...."

OOC:  in other words, she is asking for  a 1bp civic contribution to fund a net growth of 2 points of economy.

Tobias nods, silently grateful that he had been provided wriggle room on this. "As a matter of fact, my employer has provided enough funds and workmen for such a civic project. I am empowered to accept this on V & A's behalf."

"Excellent.  I'll get all the papers signed up."  Val nods her approval to the deal and looks around to see if there are any other offers.

"I think we shall build a park in the Northern District, as well as a granary and a Town Hall, courtesy of V&A Shipping, in the main district.

And, I think, that we will also be able to build a Library in the Northern District.  Although I will ensure that it also runs as a Copper School, providing a basic education to the children of Ringbridge."
