Mia smiles uncomfortable, as she sits in an unfamiliar room at Tusk Keep.  "Henry has asked me to host this meeting and represent his interests here, although any decisions will be made by representatives from the respective settlements."

She indicates to one of the servants who come around and pour cups of sweet onion tea for you all,  "I though this might be acceptable ..." Mia adds, taking a sip from her own cup.

Cass fought back the reflex to rub his hands together when the drinks arrived . “Ah, blessings upon you all and all the descendants of your line. I was just about to suggest a bit of tea. That it is of the onion variety is a nice surprise.”

Cass waited for the others to be served before he helped himself to a cup and procured a seat. “Unless a certain need arises, Silverton will be slow to progress for a bit. I don’t have plans of adding locations just to see the coffers fill up quickly, but I will be happy to entertain anyone’s proposal for building in the area. Marceline is of course free to develop her church establishment however she feels led. While I have scouted some land in the outlying regions that look promising as a location for a winery that I wish to establish, I must complete some projects in Tusk and Ringbridge before even contemplating to break ground in the vineyards.”

Zelona smiled and curtseyed as appropriate when she entered the keep's room.

"Thank you Mia, this is wonderful," she said as she settled in and sipped her own tea.

"The first order of business for Lord Henry's information is that we of Oleg's are going to change the name now that Oleg himself is not on the council, focusing on his business instead. We're proposing the name Oston. It is an homage to both Oleg and Svetlana's founding of the settlement while also being not a mouthful."

She looked around for Svetlana and gave a shrug when she didn't see the woman. "I believe that Oleg and Svetlana, in partnership with Oston, are interested in purchasing the watchtower from Lord Henry and upgrading it into a proper barracks for our footmen. Fiddler intends to upgrade his house of worship, while I am planning to upgrade my woodworking shop and bring in a true Artisan who should be able to provide many fine items of a magical and wooden nature from minor weapons to self-heating baths of wood."

"As our Lord's spokesperson here, does he have anything specific he would like to see or have done up at our settlement? Have you any issues or thoughts on those things I've brought before you?"

"No, that all seems perfectly in order.

Henry told me of his discussions with Oleg and Svetlana, and he is happy to transfer ownership of the tower to them - and the improved defensive capability is always prudent.  Personally, I am more interested in the self heating bath.  I am sure that Henry will want two.  One for his new manor in Tusk and one for the keep at Newgate."

The young woman smiles as she names her new home as the recipient of a new fangled hot water bath.

Safiya sips a bit of tea herself before speaking. "Please, convey my thanks to Lord Henry. Construction of a new settlement downstream of Feyfalls is well under way, in no small way thanks to his generous support. Quite a picturesque place, I must say, with all those rapids and waterfalls. Admittedly, there is not much else there at the moment, but I'm sure that is going to change soon."

Safiya is founding another village in the cascade hex this round.

Kendrick approached Safiya. "Safiya. Are we able to seal the deal that was negotiated? My understanding that the details were hammered out by several of our messengers, but I am here personally to settle the matters at hand."

"Sir Kendrick." Safiya rises to greet Kendrick. "Indeed, a lot for your future serai has been reserved in the new village, and you can start building there right away. I trust that everything else is in order?"

Domitius had travelled to Olston to see if there was a business opportunity that WSM could invest in.  It hadn't taken long for him to make up his mind to go forward with the idea.  As such he found himself at the town meeting.

"Zelona, it is good to see you again.  I think there could be an opportunity here in Olston for a new Serai, Winter Sun Merchants would like to take that oppurtunity if you and the council are amenable?

"Thank you." Kendrick replied with a slight bow, "Should I call you Mayor Safiya? After we build the Serai, we would begin building a muletrain soon. We will begin transporting goods to the village as soon as we bring mules and their goods."

Zelona smiled at Dom when he entered, "the Councilors of Olston agree that the town will benefit from a WSM Serai. You two are building up quite the trade empire down here in the different villages and towns. It is exciting to see."

In reply to Kendrick Winters (msg # 10):

"Just Safiya will do, thank you. That title holds far too much gravitas for a job of herding a handful of settlers around and making sure they are not eaten by one of the many natural wonders of these lands. Perhaps we will see each other there once your business is up and running." She nods to Kendrick and goes back to sipping her tea.

In reply to Zelona (msg # 11):

"Why thank you Zelona, it has been an exciting time since we arrived her in Midmarch.  I am glad that Sir Kendrick and I are able to help the smaller communities such as Olston and Cascades and aren't purely focused on the larger towns like Tusk and Ringbridge." Domitius replied happily.  "It is good to see you have landed on your feet here as well, Mayor of Olston or perhaps the Lady of Olston may be more appropriate?"

"I was wondering about something else that you may be able to help me with, but it isn't really a council matter." he seems almost embarrassed to ask.

Zelona sipped her oniony tea as politely as she could, she was still learning the society ways, though she was a quick study.

"Ah, Chancellor, or Treasurer of Olston if you insist on titles, though like Safiya I'm not hung up on them either. Svetlana is our mayor, I've just taken over the counting money from Oleg," she said with a chuckle. "But I appreciate the thought that I could be a Lady. You flatter me."

When Dom shyly mentioned another matter she nodded and responded quietly. "I would be happy to help if I am able. Find me after the council session and we can speak separately."

Marik smiles a bit sheepishly as he enters the room rather late. "My apologies for my tardiness, I was taking care of some last minute business. I wanted to make known that I will be developing a village east of Hunter's Rest, called New Dawn. I hope it will serve as a bit of a respite for the rangers who selflessly patrol the Northern Narlmarch Reserve, as well as a waypoint for those travelling from Oleg's and points north down to Tusk.

We have already begun construction on an outpost and plan to build a tavern within the next couple of months. Once our tavern is complete, New Dawn will be open for further development."
