Current loans as at year 4717 4716:
Safiya:
Adoven:
Marik:
The Bank currently has another 1.7BP available for loans. The preference will be to offer loans of up to 1.0BP to people who do not already have a loan, but if there is low demand from new borrowers those funds may become available to existing borrowers as the planning for this Kingdom turn draws to a close.

When one of the tellers would be free, she’d walk up and wait to be noticed- one didn’t get on the bad side of Abadar if you could help it- and made her intentions known.
“Uhm… hello… I’d like to enquire about a loan, if I may?”
OOC: Kiera is seeking a loan of 0.5 BP, but I’ll take a whole BP if the half is undoable.

"Good morning, madame. I am sure we will be able to help you. Let me explain how the loan process works ..."
OOC: Basically two loan amounts are currently available (0.5BP or 1.0BP), with a few variations on repayment options:
- Borrow 1.0BP, repay 3x0.5BP over 3 turns
- Borrow 0.5BP, repay 3x0.25BP over 3 turns (or if you don't like 2 decimal places you can repay 0.7BP over 2 turns or 0.8BP over 3 turns).

“I’m doubting I’m going to need too much- better to not take too much. But I’d like to take a loan out to help cover the costs of financing a second tavern of mine. The proceeds from my first should be enough to make sure I can cover the payments, no problem.”
It wasn’t in her mind to mess around with anything- and those who got in over their head with things tended to lose it all.
OOC: 0.5 BP with terms of 0.25 due the next three turns would be very acceptable.

"I'm sorry about that, madame. I thought for a moment ... well, never mind. Everything is under control, as always. We can certainly provide the loan you require. I will have the papers drawn up straight away for you to sign," the teller said with a smile.
It only took about half an hour after that for the contract to be written and signed. After that Kiera could choose to take the loan in cash, if she wishes, although a letter of credit issued by the bank might be a more practical option until she needs to pay for construction of the new tavern. Either way, Kiera now has access to the funds she requested.
OOC: Borrow 0.5BP, repay 3 payments of 0.25BP over the next 3 turns.

- The Bank has agreed to give Tusk City Council a small interest-free loan of 0.1BP to cover a small shortfall in funds currently available to the City for the list of works being undertaken by the City this year. The City will repay that 0.1BP in full next turn.

Repaying 1.0 bp this turn. I figure it'd be both coin and land. Only 0.5 bp to be repaid next Year remains

If you are amenable to the idea, I will sign them over to the bank to complete our repayment of the numerous bank loans we took out in years past."
OOC We had 0.5 bp banked. We will use that to repay the 0.5 bp owed for past loans. Normally it shows as being needed to be paid Next Turn, but I had an extra 0.5 bp so I'm paying it off.

When he turns up at the Bank of Abadar asking about a loan, the only surprise is that he is the member of the Roth family that is doing the asking.
"You see, we just need a small loan (only 0.2BP) to top up our own funds to build a Tavern out by Shrike Bastion. We figure the troops stationed at that bastion, together with fisherfolk working the lake and the occasional boats travelling on the Shrike River will provide enough customers to make a tavern workable out there. We would easily be able to repay the loan in full next year."

"Good morning. I am here on a personal matter, rather than anything directly connected with the Church of Abadar. I have already established a museum over in the College District and I would like to develop an art gallery there, as well. I already have half of the funds required but would need to borrow 1 BP to make up the balance. The museum already generates an income of 0.5 BP, which I believe would cover the repayments due on that loan. Do you think that would be all right?" he asks a little nervously.

"That sounds like a wonderful idea. I have a niece who is a student at the Three Ladies' School near there. She and several of her friends are keen artists and, if I may say so, quite talented, too. I think the Bank could manage to offer a small prize for an art competition next year, if you would be willing to display the entries for a month or so before the judging?
"Oh, that doesn't affect the terms of the loan, of course. A loan of 1 BP would need to be repaid with interest - a total of three repayments of 0.5 BP per year over the next three years, but I am sure you already knew that, Brother Florin."
