The Bank of Abadar in Tusk is now the administrator of a small pool of BP's on behalf of several local investors.  So loans of up to one BP may be available to anyone who needs some extra funds for a building or business development anywhere in Midmarch.

Conditions of the loan:
 - 50% interest (i.e. borrow 1BP, repay 1.5BP)
 - To be repaid over the next two three Kingdom turns (repay 1BP next turn and the final 0.5BP on the following turn i.e. repay 0.5BP per turn for three turns.)
 - Subject to the proposed development being approved by the relevant Council or authority in charge of the settlement where the development is proposed.

If anyone would like to enquire about a loan, this is the place to do it.

Similarly, if anyone has BP they don't have a use for and would like to add them to the funds available for loan, this is the place to do it.

If anyone happens to be just a little bit short of the funds needed for that new business enterprise, you know where to come for a loan.

A customer drops a handful of coins on the floor, and scrambles to pick them up, while the others look on in amusement.

The Banker helps the embarrassed customer to pick up the coins, then very kindly suggests they might be a lot safer if deposited in the bank.  :)

OOC: Loan terms revised in the post above.

Sounds useful. Safiya is either 0.5 BPs short from buying some more boats, or has 0.5 BPs just sitting useless this round. Preferably former - what would be the terms on a 0.5 BPs loan? I'd rather not split my BPs down to 2 decimal places, so would 0.8 BPs over three turns or even 0.7 over two be acceptable?

Hargrym approached the tellers and asked "I was wondering if I could organise a loan, we are looking at setting up a master jewellers in New Dawn as it would appear there is gold there."

In reply to Safiya Vallani (msg # 6):

The Banker considers Safiya's question thoughtfully for a long moment then nods.

"I think either of those options would be quite acceptable, Miss Vallani. I will need to double-check one or two administrative details but I don't think we would have a problem either way."

In reply to ~Hargrym Silverhammer (msg # 7):

The Banker considers Hargrym's question quite a bit longer before responding.

"That would be quite an investment in a small, fledgling settlement like New Dawn, Mr Silverhammer. You might find that the settlement itself may not yet be able to supply the other resources required to support something as lavish as a master jeweler's workshop straight away. In all honesty, the Bank's resources are somewhat limited as well. You might find it is necessary to start with a smaller jeweler's workshop this year, prove to everyone that it really is sustainable, then aim to expand to your master jeweler's workshop next year."
