Cyrus Lebeda-Ondari:
Cool! Can Heavy Troops also become a Calvary unit?

Let's go with one focuses on mounted tactics and the other in footed formations. Make each important in its own right.

Re: OOC 3

Heavy cavalry have more hit points, and are faster, but attack equal to medium troops. So a pretty significant payload, offset my the added BP costs.

Re: OOC 3

I have just added a coat of Arms for House Aeris to the Heraldry page

http://rp.baileymail.net/doku....gion:southernheraldy

I am happy to do the same for other  Houses or organisations.

Seeing as we have three different Pharasman orders (Mother Beatrix, Ethankos and Marceline) I think I  might create one for Mother Beatrix's order.

I am happy to create the image for you, if you give me a basic description (and aren't too fussy) although I am equally happy to upload yours.  (And  Dom sometimes volunteers as well)

I have been thinking about Defence Points, Armed Forces and other associated things ...

Let me know if you have any thoughts on this - Preferably on the  blog, but posting here works just as well.

Well those are darn fancy. Do we just PM you with image ideas if we think we have something suitable?

Re: OOC 3

I see the list of cleric spells just keeps growing longer and longer.   Some of them, I'm tempted to take just for the freaking name.

How can you go wrong with 'Amplify Stench,' 'Flesh Puppet,' 'Sadomasochism' or 'Aura of Cannibalism?'

I think my favourite spell name remains one in the old Dragon Warriors game:

'Dishearten', which did exactly what it said on the tin if your magic defence didn't manage to block it. ^_^

Re: OOC 3

Games always get weirder and weirder as they try to find something else that people will pay money for.

One of these days I will create a CRB reference site, and tie my games to that, very little beyond that has really added to the Role Playing aspect of the game.

Should all those latest development threads and downtime thread be renumbered 4716? Tusk Development thread changes to 4716 from msg #2.

No.  4715 is correct.  I got my knickers in a twisr with the dates, at one point.  Eventually, I decided it should be 4715 ....

Re: OOC 3

The most frustrating thing about play-by-post games as opposed to table-top games is that you can't change your dice when they're rolling rubbish!!!

No, scientifically proven fact!  Trust me I have a veritable plethora of die to choose from when we play table-top.  Some roll high ... some roll low (sadly, don't need low rollers since the advent of Pathfinder, et al ... bring back original D&D or AD&D!) and some just don't want to play nicely no matter WHO rolls them!

The plural of anecdote is not evidence.

That said, manufacturing flaws in cheap five - especially older ones - are totally a thing.

In reply to Alisa Medvyed-Solanus (msg # 534):

I feel like some of those should be deliberate bait-and-switch just by their descriptions.

"So Aura of Cannibalism, huh? ...what's that do?"

"Ah, well, it actually siphons the abilities of other auras to yourself; the name is very misleading."

Yes, I think it's a pre-req for casting the Purple Haze spell.

In reply to Marceline Gray (msg # 546):

I did not read them, but one can only hope!   I agree with the GM on the tendency for materials to get more strange over time.  Sometimes much more so...
