Sounds good! I can have Cyrus appear in one of the fuzzy threads so we can discuss in public or feel free to PM.

Re: OOC 3

And now a bit more of Dwarves, as I start to document their position in  the game.

http://galinia.org.uk/dwarves-of-brevoy

As always, that is an overview and is open to modification, and extra detail, before it gets transferred to the game's website -  when it becomes much more  'fixed'.

Gandred, Hargrym, Valguard and Lutz are all mentioned in the text - their views are particularly welcome  :)

This sounds like an epic adventure in the making!

I'm already imagining it as a published adventure path, with titles the likes of Dark Ale Destiny -  or Shrooms of Doom.   ;)

I guess my issue is that he spoke directly to them, and then they just kept talking as if he's not there. So either I have to assume in character they blatantly ignored him, or basically just pretend like he didn't say anything.

My last post in here  was, literally, as I closed my PC down on the way to bed - and that was (something like) going to work first thing in the morning time, for Berta :)  Your post, was a cross post with mine.  There was a PM in there that you couldn't see - and another PM in Berta's post.

I didn't see a red light on that thread, all the way through the evening, I didn't see Berta's post until your post here brought it to my attention.  Unfortunately, that is the way things go on RPoL every so often.

Re: OOC 3

A discussion, yesterday evening, highlighted that I had not brought the Leadership Feat in line with the Campaign Rules.

The new version of my House Ruled Leadership Feat is, in many ways, now an upgrade to the Entourage Feat  (that you all get as a Bonus feat)

In reply to ~Darius (msg # 436):

Apologies from the player who will confess he saw "NPC" (hah, I've got one too on mine, didn't realise !) and figured it was the GM (no, I didn't get as far as "Marik's advocate") giving us an option in relation to that PM discussion we were having behind the curtain - so your timing was either very good or very bad, depending on how you look at it.  <grins>

But anyone who knows Berta (as a character) will know that she'd not take kindly to interruptions when she's talking earnestly with her brothers, and naturally assumes all remarks about her appearance to be sarcasm.  ;>

Turning her attention to Darius right now ...

And I have been busy again.  Lockdown is both a blessing and a curse ...

This time I have modified the descriptions of Sword Schools  (Colleges & Academies)  to talk about the types of troop they can train.

Re: OOC 3

Excellent  :)  I have had the concept in my head for a while.  Just never quite got around to writing it down.

It doesn't affect what sort of troops people get in their Def buildings, but it does add a way to get a bit of extra flavour into the campaign system.

I would assume though that a Sword School, college, or Academy could take their defense point(s) in the type of troop they specialize in training if they so choose. For example, if a Sword School specialized in training scouts, they could take the troops that building's defense point "earns" as a scouts. Or if a Military College specializes in scouts and chasseurs, that could take 1 defense point worth of each. Is that correct?

Re: OOC 3

Nope  :)

The defence points for the training establishment are Sell Swords -  those are the guys who are in their final year of training, but haven't developed all of their professional skills yet  :)

It doesn't make any difference to the Mass Combat rules, nor their ability to patrol their local area -  after all, they need to train in the type of area they will be working in.  BUT they haven't gained all of their skills yet.

Ah, okay. I thought the defense points represented the instructors at the school, not the students.

Re: OOC 3

Can a Military Academy include the Military college so that 'lower division' and 'upper division' courses are both taught there? Thinking of expanding my College to an Academy, unless it has to be built separately?

Re: OOC 3

A Sword School gets one specialism, a college two and an Academy three specialisms. For example :-
  • A sword school specializes in City Guards.
  • When it upgrades to a college, it still trains guards, but adds marines as well (for example).
  • Later it upgrades to an academy and decides to add Caravan Guards to the list -  it now turns out City Guards, Marines and Caravan Guards.
