Re: OOC 3

So much for changing my name to Cass “Mass Combat” Mordane. I do like the small settlement defense bonus idea. How about free magical force fields?

I'm presuming the new folks aren't invited to the wedding (since we don't know the happy couple)? Still thinking of something for the other downtime thread...

In reply to Tatyana (msg # 301):

All of the newbie may join and post in the Fuzzy threads. More the merrier. The purpose of the fuzzy threads is to allow for cross-over between groups. Take the chance for the old folks to get to know the new folks :)

Re: OOC 3

What if you just happened to be visiting the Mithral at the time and one of the helpful staff just assumed you were there for the reception and swept you inside merrily with all the others?

Nothing wrong with taking a peek and having a quiet drink of previously paid for perlet (our version of champagne) with the good old mayor of Tusk, is there?

As Kendrick pointed out, you are invited  :)

The main purpose of Group 0 fuzzy threads is to allow interaction between PCs from different parties.  In your case, it is a way to get to know some of the more established characters.

I'll  pop Big Job in there so you have someone you recognize.  The key thing to remember is that this is 'out of time' when compared to the adventuring threads - so it is Chit Chat type RP. :)

Yes, for sure, everybody is welcome --  in fact, it's the very rare fuzzy thread that would exclude anybody --   private threads are normally just that --  they can usually only be seen by characters in the group they belong to.

I have added a couple of new conversation rooms for the wedding thread. First come, first served.  I'll add more when they are needed.

Re: OOC 3

Will attempt to get into some of the fuzzy threads, but for both DMs sake and the Narlmarch crew; I am moving in a few weeks and have to start handling all of that nonsense, and if Marcy needs to be nudged to keep things going, I get it. The timing is awful but at least it's in theme with the year.

Re: OOC 3

I have been thinking about demographics and racial distribution, on and off, for a while now - and finally got around to writing something down.

http://galinia.org.uk/demographics-2

As always, I am open to comments and suggestions before I copy it into the wiki and make it formal :P  So if there is something you think contradicts a background, or storyline -  let me know and I will change it.

Re: OOC 3

you don't suppose the groom and bride would be insulted by a basket of fresh fruits veggies for a wedding gift would they?"

Not at all insulted -  from a druid, it could be seen as a form of blessing, even.

So where's the guy with the peacock, anyway?

Oh, forget the guy - just bring in the bird!

Re: OOC 3

You might have noticed a new RTJ notice at the top of the board :)  It was pointed out that we didn't have one -  and when I looked at the Character Creation notice it is a bit naff and a bit out  of date. Eventually, the new RTJ notice will replace it.

As always, any comments are welcome - from anyone.  You all applied to join the game at some point  ...

For next time :)  And there is bound to be a next time  :)  I just checked, the game started 4 years ago,  and we are less that halfway through the AP!

I might as well co it on Covid-time when I am stuck a home :)

Re: OOC 3

Just pointing out that we've 2 Character Creation threads.
The new, link to a message in this game
And the old, link to a message in this game

Not sure if you wanted to keep both separate or to combine them. Just pointing this out :)
I only see a few threads. Can't imagine how many the GM has on his screen. LOL.

Re: OOC 3

Thanks.    I am working through that whole thing slowly - I am still using the old page as a Guide, but I have moved it to a hidden group.

However, I have done more country living work over the weekend -  I find that type of mapping exercise relaxing.

Note:  Roths' Hopyard doesn't actually look like that - it is an 'Artist's Impression' of what it could be like in the future.

If anyone would like to see a different type of hamlet, I might add it as example 3 :)

Re: OOC 3

I still remember...there's some old cartoon, where Shakespeare is telling his troubles to the characters, and Francis Bacon shows up unexpectedly.  Shakespere, stunned to see his nemesis, cries out:

"Bacon!"

And Bacon replies "With eggs!" which he then pelts Shakespeare with.

I am glad you enjoyed them.  I enjoyed writing them :)

However, I suspect I will no write the Hinterland Article just yet.  The more I think on it, I think kt would fit better with an Urban Living set :)
