Re: OOC 3

So you guys can create items that are more powerful than those that you would normally be able to buy in the city / region??

In reply to DM (msg # 75):

Eh, I'm fine with the limit. Mind you, it does make it impossible to ever craft an item of value greater than 24k, even should Tusk become a metropolis.

We'll deal with that issue when we come to it.  And I suspect it will probably  involve quests, quest items and risk etc.  BUT - they will be few and far between, because I am not going to run an extra thread on a  casual 'I want ...' type concept.

Andalon de Lebeda:
Andalon de Lebeda rolled 21 using 1d20+1.  Linguistics check.

Umm, I feel a bit of a fraud scoring 21 on a skill check I have no ranks in!

After hours of trying to decipher the writings, it was Andalon who discovered that they were actually in the common tongue. The others simply had the book upside down.

Yes, that +1 must surely be for the common sense trait --  most underrated.

DM:
No.  I don't understand the question, but it sounds like I should say no.

And if I didn't know you'd raised any kids, I would now.   This one may serve you well in France, also.

Re: OOC 3

OK.  Off to France (well the Ferry Port) any minute now.  Feel free to play in the fuzzy threads -  Adoven's party and the political reorganisation thread are still open.  The Dragon's Den and the Nereid's Nectar are both open for business.

I should be back and posting properly on the 10th or 11th.

I think the word Nomen stands out like a neon sign. I think we should head there first.

Yeah, those were personal instructions to me when I couldn’t see it. I thought I would share for all, just in case.

Re: OOC 3

Folks, I haven't forgotten you.  I am back from my holiday, and still trying to get  over it.  It was very relaxing, no time pressures for anything lots of time for reading etc etc.  One problem was that I only took three of the Tiffany Aching books with me.  Then I started to read the fourth yesterday evening.  At 3 am I went to bed.  Just one more to go, BUT I will make myself leave it to the weekend.

And I have learned not to take overnight ferries with DFDS ...  getting any sleep on them is next to impossible.  However, they aren't bad ferries, and they are much cheaper than the alternatives.

I will get posts up before the end of the week!

I loved the Tiffany Aching story arc. A pity the author passed away.

In reply to Adoven (msg # 91):

I think they are the best of Pratchett's books. But then, I always preferred the 'witch' books over the others.

My preference was the Watch books. Hell, ALL of the Discworld books were entertaining.

Well I would have got there eventually anyways, if my dearly beloved father and all my siblings died. It's better this way, I'd think

I appreciate the welcome, and look forward to shaking the dust off my swords and helping where I can!
