Re: OOC 3

After rest I'm about 7 hp down so I'll take a cure wounds then. I'll add the amount once I hear back from Vova though, just in case there's people more in need than me.

I've been thinking about armed vessels this weekend (Blame Adoven!)

Now all I need to do is get the model NPCs up on the website  :)

In reply to Viktoria Lodovka-Sud (msg # 874):

Vova has four first level priest spells each day. We have rested twice since everyone was last hurt, and it does not seem unreasonable to me that folks might have asked to be patched up in that intervening time.

So, potentially a maximum of 8(D8+1)?

Interesting, though historically pirates operated smaller vessels with oversized crews mostly sloops and brigs.  Thoigh it does depend on the time period.  The English channel used to be a hotbed of piracy and the would have used cogs and caravels I believe.

Still neither of those is Golarion or on a river system.

Re: OOC 3

Yep -  modern examples of the same sort of thing with the Somali pirates,  historically, there were the Barbary pirates who specialized in small vessels and similar examples from the Caribbean in the 18th century.

On the river (IMO) you are more likely to get attacks by twenty bandits jammed into two fishing boats, rather than a galleon patrolling the Golden Maine ...

The Shallop with a double unit of marines, is (in some ways) a nod towards those small vessel pirates :)

Re: OOC 3

I have added a couple of small military vessels to the Civic Military page - http://rp.baileymail.net/doku....strongholds:military

And documented crews for armed (and normal) vessels on this page - http://rp.baileymail.net/doku....ews#crew_composition

I know that isn't too important for most of you, but it helps me keep things consistent, IF those vessels come into play later.

You have Local Patrol vessel listed as cost of 1, providing 0 Defense. I'm guessing that should be 1 Defense?

It is that time of year when people ask for things.

I am thinking of reworking the 'leisure' development opportunities.  However, I am interested in your thoughts first.  If I do this, I will amend the Hospitality and Civic lists to match  (although I don't think that affects anyone's holdings)

http://rp.baileymail.net/doku....ems2:busorgs:leisure

I am interested in your thoughts on this.

Re: OOC 3

Just a heads-up -  I am going away on holiday, from the 5th June, for two weeks - and I will have even less internet access than normal.

I am going to be based ion a campsite in the middle of a National Park - so most of my access will be from my phone.  That means no books, no maps and, possibly, no updates for adventure threads.

When I get back, we will go almost straight into the Campaign Round - so a quiet couple of weeks to plan ...  (and negotiate any OOC agreements between characters).  I think I have all the threads up to date.  A couple of people identified minor errors in the spreadsheets, but I will update them all next week, before I go.

Feel free to chat/play in any of the fuzzy or location threads while I am away.

Re: OOC 3

I have formalised the Sports and leisure category of developments - so they are now available for the next Campaign Round.

I have also 'designed' another team sport that could be played in stadia and on sports fields.  Bunt Ball is a cross between baseball, rounders and various forms of cricket - and has the potential to be absolute mayhem!

Re: OOC 3

All three adventure threads updated.  I expect to get another set of updates into those threads either Thursday or Friday - after that I am away from my computer, with only occasional posting, until 19th/20th June.

Let me know if you want any other Fuzzy threads opened up.  We  have the 'party' and I intend to  bump the duelling salon thread - these are a good way to start a conversation with characters from groups (or some of the PC run entourages)

Also think about the Fuzzies that you would like me to start as part of the Campaign Round.
  • Trip to Restov?  For shopping, socializing and catching the Cup Final game?
  • Another duelling competition (with you guys running your own combats)
  • A walk in the forest  (a relatively safe part of it with no adventure/combat)
  • Something else?

Re: OOC 3

Candlemere is on my agenda for when Group 1 has finished their current quest  :)

I want both Ethankos and Marceline available - after all, that place should be their bread and butter.  Laying that place to rest, aligns (sort of) with their published Character Goals, and it would be remiss of me if I didn't give them that chance.

If things do according to plan, there will be quite a major party reshuffle, when Group 1 (eventually) gets back.

@Vova - I am afraid Adoven has been laying claim to Candlemere for ages -  and he has the backing of Tusk council  :)

Re: OOC 3

You may also use the time I am away to advance any  Entourage members who will be eligible for advancement during the campaign round.  (1/2 your level rounded down)

For entourage-Cousins and assistants it is 2/3 your level - rounded down.  The only Entourage-Cousins/Assistants that I am aware of, who can advance are Lutz and Robert.

You may also want to decide whether to take on  a new entourage assistant (if you have a slot available.  You are allowed (level/2)+ Cha bonus.

I think the only connection Vova really has to it is that Nethys is pushing him in the direction of the loony priest and the hole in the world. It'll probably be fine if someone else sits on it. ^_^

I thought you could only add entourage members when you gained a level? Am I misremembering that?
