Fuzzy:  Tansy's Roadhouse

Tansy's is a solid wooden building with a large wooden ale mug hanging above the door.  While the building looks well-kept, there is no fancy carving around the door, or anything of that nature.  However, the windows are lit by the yellow glow of lanterns and candles.  As always, there are  two or three dockers hanging around outside, a mug in their hand and a pipe in their mouth, as they talk about the day's work.

Inside there is a selection of tables around the sides of the room and a long table with benches down the middle. Tansy, a beefy woman, run the place, standing up by the serving hatch and supervising the wait staff and pot boys as they go about their business.

She looks as if she could punch the lights out of most of her customers, if she needed to.  Not that she needs to any more.

The walls and roof space is hung with fishing nets, glass buoys, lengths of rope and other paraphernalia that you might expect to find around a working docks.

Fuzzy:  Tansy's Roadhouse

Minia, as was her usual method, arrived early to observe and consider. This meeting her sister had arranged sounded fruitful enough, but she wasn't so sure that they could let their guard down just yet.

She wore her sword on her belt as usual, moving it around to avoid looking ready to fight as she walked in and approached a table that was empty, setting her pack of belongings down and approaching the nearest waitstaff.

"Er, yes, hello. I was wondering if I might . . . occupy this table over there for a while. I'm waiting on two people to arrive and didn't want to take some regular's table in error but . . . anyway is there food?"

"Of course you can, Miss.  Miss tansy doesn't let anyone have regular places or tables anymore.  It started too many fights ..." The girl says lightly.   Taking in Minia's clothing and weapons, she decides not to ffer the cheapest things on the menu, but goes straight in with the better dishes.  Nothing fancy, but food that tastes reasonable "There isn't all that much on the menu, but we have a nice fish stew.  It's made with proper fish caught out on the lake, with hardly any eel in it at all.   Or there is some mutton stew, it has a nice thick gravy with barley in it.   Both come with fresh bread to mop up the gravy."

She pauses for a moment before asking, "Would you like anything to drink with your dinner?"

Vik walked in to see how Tansy was doing. The brawny brawler had been an adventurer back in Vik's early days, and the Lady Lodovka-Sud wished to inquire with the land lady of this roadhouse about some expansion options that her husband might back

Sitting near the bar, she made no secret of her quiet disruptive presence as she waited to grab the former barmaid turned taverner's attention

"Could I have both? And do you have wine? Or mead, my sister likes mead! I mean...one of the people I'm waiting for likes mead! Yes. That."

Minia tried to move her sword more out of sight, misinterpreting the waitstaff's discerning glance

"I'm not fancy though, if you don't mind I could help clear plates and cups?"

The waitress smiles  "Of course …" But then she stops short  "I don't think that miss Tansy would accept washing up instead of payment ....  I could ask for you though ..."
