Cyrus was glad to see Kendrick get up unharmed. He said to the man, “That was well fought. I am glad we are on the same side.”

Once everyone has had a chance to fully recover all their HP and abilities, the next bout is announced.

Table 2 - Dom Vs Kendrick  (Umpire:  Adoven 2)

Dom walked over to Kendrick before the bout and shook hands with his business partner and friend. The pair had been sparring and practicing together pretty much from the day they had met.  "Well my friend you can just surrender now if you wish, I'm sure Iomedae would understand." Dom said with a grin knowing full well Kendrick would do no such thing.

Adoven says "choose your starting positions and begin on my mark." He holds his hand up and waits for each fighter to settle into position.

With a nod to Adoven, Domitius takes his position and prepares for the match raising his sword in Salute to first Kendrick then Adoven.

When the signal is given Dom moved forward to engage

Kendrick closed the distance between them quickly. He brought the wooden sword down in a vicious attack!

Domitius was fast off the mark, taking a mighty 2-handed blow that cracked one of Kendrick's ribs. Kendrick rallied and managed to return the blow, slipping in a lowline attack that hit Domitius on the hip.

Dom felt a twinge as he brought the sword down towards Kendricks shoulder.

Domitius once more proves the faster... but not the more accurate. His heavy blade comes down hard where Kendrick was a second prior, and the impact with the floor almost jars the blade loose. Meanwhile, Kendrick has a steadier response, his blade sliding easily through
Domitius' guard, impacting his shoulder and leaving a large welt.

Kendrick grimaced as he checked his wound. He brought the sword up. He pivoted and attacked with his sword. "Had enough?"

Domitius edges out Kendrick in weapon speed as both spot an opening in their opponent's defenses at the same time. Both lunge at each other, and each one backs away with another nasty bruise...Domitius taking one in the chest, and Kendrick wounded in the thigh.

"Not quite, I still have a trick or two in me." with that Dom launched a series of blows.

Kendrick blocked several of the attacks from Domitius. "Have you fought the Knight Commander? What do you make of that man?" Kendrick changed the topic easily between the two friends.

OOC:  Cyrus is Knight Commander for Midmarch, but Kendrick is Knight Commander for Tusk :)

OOC: Oh? I thought he outranked Kendrick. Maybe I was referring to an older document/link but that was several months... actually that was something I read pre-COVID. That thread basically outlined the command structure for military things.
