Henry clears his throat before he speaks.  "Adoven has reminded me that I should really go and pay my respects to Lady Jamandi and congratulate her on her elevation to the rank of Count.  I wondered if any of you would care to join me?"

Cyrus spoke up saying, "It would be a pleasure to accompany you on such a journey. Jamandi was very kind and generous when Valoria and I wed, it is well past time that I thanked her in person."

Marik nods to Henry and Cyrus, "I would be happy to join you as well. It would be nice to have a short vacation," he added with a smile.

"My employer, the Priestess Alisa Medvyed-Solanus, is currently in her second trimester of pregnancy.   She has lately been experiencing a heightening of fatigue and other symptoms, that seem to point to her carrying twins.  Thus she has asked me to go in her stead.  As well as an aide to her lord-husband, if he should need any incidental assistance."

"Aye my Lord I would accompany you to Lady Jamandi, I wish to thank her for her support and hope her well in her new demesne. A quick trip I am hoping as I wish to return to my wife as soon as I may." Dom said with a smile and a nod to Sejana.

Rana stood quietly at the back of the room, keeping out of line of sight of Lord Henry, as she listened to the ongoing conversation.  She wasn't convinced that she belonged here, but if she was going to settle in Midmarch, then perhaps it was appropriate.  It made her unsettled to bring attention to herself after so many years of keeping a low profile, but she was determined to try and change her impulse to remain hidden.

Her eyes scanned those attending the meeting as she tried to commit names and faces to memory.  Two of the men were familiar to her, but the other two and the woman were strangers and Rana made a mental note to find out more about them.  A smile touched her lips as she continued to watch the proceedings.

””There will be a formal dinner at some point, Bai wouldn’t miss that for the world, so you need to make sure that you pack suitable clothing …” Henry breaks of as Brother Bart enters carrying a long thin case, clad in the finest leather, that bears the marks of Rikka’s smithy.

”She’s finished it already?” he half asks as Bart hands the case over.  Laying it on the table, Henry opens the case and pulls out a belt made of stout leather set with patterned steel plates. ”And she has the Aldori crest on the clasp.  Excellent work.” he enthuses.  Holding the belt by the buckle, he flicks his wrist and the belt suddenly transforms into an Aldori duelling sword.  Another flick and it is a short sword.  The third flick brings it back to a belt, which Henry lays carefully back in its case.  ”Jamandi will like that …”

I have arranged a Mule train for our possessions.

It is a large group that accompanies Viscount  Henry to Sirian.  Lady Bai, Brother Bart and some leMaistre servants, Lord Cyrus and Lady Val with their small entourage, Lord Marik and Sir Domitius along with Rana, Sejana and Tobias.

The journey starts slowly with a small group, stopping of at Ringbridge to collect Lady Val, and then makes its way to Newgate to collect Lady Bai –by the time you leave Midmarch, it is an impressive little caravan.  Although little might not be the right word.

You are accompanied by two of DELEM’s mule trains, under the command of Yolen,  each guarded by a unit of Henry’s House troops, and a unit of Midmarch Light Cavalry.  There are pavilion tents for the leMaistre’s and the Lebeda-Ondari, as well as a selection of smaller tents for other members of the expedition.

The first real ‘camp’ is at Fort Sarenko, where it takes the teams a while to decide on layout and distribution of duties, but Henry and Bai are content to visit with the Fort’s commander until everything has been shaken down and set Yolen’s satisfaction.   During the evening, Henry and Bai sit in their large camp chairs, sipping wine and enjoying the fresh air, while servants prepare dinner.

The next stop is at Nikavta’s Crossing – the small town on the River Shrike that guards the road out to Varnhold.  Again, the caravan stops outside the small town and sets up camp, although this time Henry sends Bart in to inform the town’s leaders of the expedition’s presence, and to pass on Henry’s respects.

In Restov it is a bit different.  The caravan pulls into one of the districts on the edge of the city, and Yolen sets up the camp on  a a piece of greenery that looks as if it is a cross between a community park and a Scrymball pitch.  A notice Board describes it as ‘DELEM Cannart Park', and it is home to the district’s Scrymball team.

Once settled, Henry tell you that the caravan will be staying here for two nights, as he needs to pay his respects to the mayor, the following day – after all, it would be rude to pass through  another Lord’s domain, especially with such a large entourage, and not stop in to say hello.

Those with access to them, can bring a few armed guards / servants along as well, if you want to.   Feel free to describe your own entourages / equipment -  according to your station.  Obviously Sejana / Tobias won’t have  the same resources as the nobles or knights.

This is intended to be a short stop, not really somewhere for extended RPed shopping trips, visits etc.  However, if you want to shop in any of the known shops, visit family (quickly) or do other, similar, activities then feel free to post.  I am not getting into any trade or business negotiations while we are here :)

Although she is Alisa's aide and business manager, Sejana works for Solanus in general, and would be considered part of Dom's entourage in this scenario.    Which isn't to say she has no agendas from Alisa, or no personal motivations...

"Lord Domitius," she inclined her head to the newly ordained sword-lord, "I have finished the tasks you requested of me.   Is there anything else, for the moment, my lord?   If not, there is a pair of shops I hope to visit. One an arcane supplier your lady wife has asked me to survey - to see if we may learn anything useful from their approach to business. The other -- well, it is a lady's clothier I've heard so many, many good things about."   

This plan is flexible, around anything Domitius may need done.   But if she's free, Sejana is going to go check out Ava Couture and Marcus Magic.
